I love the lost bean and I haven't been to it as frequently as I would like since I've been busy, but now that I'm done with school and my intern site isn't too far away I've decided to come back...and whoa has a lot of things changed. First of all, I am currently sitting in the lost vine! The expansion of the lost bean and like the name you can imagine that there is a large selection of wine, a few selections of beer (but they have shock top so that's all that matters to me), and I also spot some sangria. They also have HAPPY HOUR!!! Between 5-7 Monday thru Thursday: bacon wrapped dates, heirloom tomato caprese salad, avocado mash, and flatbread for $4! I'm a beer person so I only know the cost of the beer which is $4 during happy hour. Not sure what rude service some others were talking about I was treated great! Also there is AC so I'm sitting here nice and cool. I think with there is a lot of space between the lost bean and lost vine. I'll have to update my review once I try the food...but overall what a great place :D read more

My BF and I decided to recreate our second date for our second year anniversary, and where we had this date was here at the lost vine. It was just as wonderful as we remembered it! You know what, there is something simple and beautiful about a local spot. This coffee shop has some heart and good vibes galore. My wife and I recently moved into the area and were going to your typical coffee stereotypes, but my eyes caught the cute European shopping complex and when I walked into this place, I knew that I found a new and unique place to frequent. The first thing I was sold on was the people. Meredith and Ginger are regulars in the morning and their cheery attitudes lead the ambiance of the whole shop. You walk in, get a sincere smile, get your drink and now your day is off to a phenomenal start! I once complimented Ginger on her amazing attitude and she told me that it made her day. If only she knew that she had already made my day lol. Since coming more regularly I have met Bree, Jason, and Mandy--all I can say is that the more of the team I get to know and the leadership behind this local gem, the more it all makes sense as to why I love this place so much. When I need to work remotely, it's my go-to. When I need a tasty breakfast burrito, it's my go-to. When I just need to enjoy the coffee shop experience but don't want to go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean for the billionth time, then this is the place I choose first. Looks like the lost vine has lost I it's sense of customer service. My husband and I walked in, were told to take a seat anywhere, and were then ignored for 5 minutes. The server thought it was more important to go socialize with someone while we waited to even just get menus. The place was virtually empty. Needless to say, we left. read more

Such a cute little wine bar in Tustin. It shares a space with The Lost Bean coffee shop. We went on a Tuesday night and enjoyed their Tuesday Happy Hour which features 5 2-oz pours of 5 pre-selected wines for $12! They even let you order half glasses of wine. The wine selection is decent (some local and foreign label). It's not a very big place, so I could imagine if it's really popular, it could get crowded easily. We didn't try the food since we had already eaten but they have tapas and salads on the menu. I hear they have live music and open mic on certain days as well. Our bartender, Riley, was very knowledgeable about the wines and was very nice. The Arrowhead Cabernet Sauvignon was our favorite. We enjoyed our quick stop in to the Lost Vine and will definitely return to this local neighborhood gem for a few pours! read more

It's connected to their coffee shop next door, The Lost Bean. I went in on a Thursday night with a couple friends to relax, have a glass or two of wine, and listen to some music. The seating here is interesting (different), but not bad. The ambiance was warm and fuzzy! Wait, that also could have been the wine....but really though. The decor is quite nice. I'm not sure if they're experts at wine based on the interaction my friends and I had with the woman behind the counter, but she was really friendly. I guess it was just loud enough inside that she couldn't hear me too clearly. I told her I wanted a bottle of one of the Syrah's they carry, but she proceeded to pour me a glass, then my friend a glass. Then took my credit card and charged me for one glass...I gave her a confused look and told her we actually wanted a bottle. She was nice enough to just charge us and additional $29 for the $36 bottle of wine and give us a new bottle. That was nice of her. So we paid about $40 for 2 glasses of wine, plus the new bottle. Don't come looking for a cheap glass of wine because you won't find it here. The guy who picks the selections knows his stuff - and that's good for those of us winos who can't stand two buck chuck (or house wine anywhere, really - okay, except for Mastros). HOWEVER, the most amazing thing on the menu might just be the homemade sangria. It is quite fantastic and leans more on the wine side than the sweet side. It's hands down the greatest sangria I've ever tasted. The atmosphere on the wine bar side of Lost Bean/Lost Vine grows up at 5 PM when the jokers on their laptops get booted for drier pastures (the coffee side), which is a nice change from the typical coffee shop atmosphere that engulfs the wooden stools during the day. I often wonder what happened to the OC. Twenty plus years ago when I moved here, people were kinder, friendlier. Not so much anymore. Then I walked into The Lost Vine. This wine bar is very straight forward; no gratuitous decor and other 'stuff' all over the place. Simply, it is a place to have a glass of wine from their amazing wine selection and have a little chit chat with whom you arrived, or anyone else hanging at the bar. Cat, our server for the night was an absolute breath of fresh air. She had NONE of the stuck up, elitist attitude prevalent in most people in the LA & OC counties. She was engaging, and knew her wine! (not to mention, a total hottie!) She recommended a Spanish blend over the Malbec I was eyeing and she could not have been more spot on. Right next door is their 'parent' space, The Lost Bean. A coffee place that is warm, inviting and a very cute place to hang out, offering for purchase some art hung on the walls from local artists & photographers. The wine list is carefully curated, which I love. But the coolest new thing at The Lost Vine is the new chef! The menu is now comprised of totally handcrafted beautiful Italian dishes. Nice wine bar located in a cool area of Tustin. We decided to give this place a try after seeing the good reviews and being very happy with the wine bar we attend in the Fullerton area. Although the atmosphere did not quite stack up to our normal Fullerton hangout, the wine selections were good and the prices were very reasonable. They told us that there was music on Thursday nights...a good reason to come back and try out some different wines. There is also an attached coffee house next door and plenty of nice eateries in the same shopping center. Give this place a try. read more

I met up with a friend here recently for drinks and appetizers and was pleased to find this little gem of a coffee house/wine bar. The atmosphere is like that of a traditional coffee house, so you could sit and enjoy your coffee, bring along your laptop, get some work done or just relax with friends. A portion of the cafe is devoted to the wine bar, where you can pick up a nice glass of wine and take advantage of inexpensive happy hour eats. I had never thought about eating a bacon-wrapped date before, but I'm glad I did because they were amazing! The staff was quite friendly and helpful, although compared with other wine bars I have visited, I wouldn't say the staff excels at offering insight into the wines or suggesting a wine you might like. The bartender more or less handed us a menu and we picked something off the list. However, I was not bothered by this fact since were weren't there for a wine tasting experience; we were just there to catch up. Note that parking gets tight in this little lot, but there is additional parking around the back of the buildings (not immediately obvious if you don't know it's there). This place is a very nice breath of fresh air, it has a nice European style to it, that reminded me of my trip to Italy, ask for the cheese and fruit plate, and the Grenache is a wine that you have, its absolutely amazing. It's connected to the lost bean, and its all organic. You wont find any place like it. As someone who is pretty picky, I have to say, this place is an absolute winner. Have to check it out. I would love to be able to post a review of how the wine and food tasted and what the live music was like...but I can't. I showed up just before 5 to meet a friend for happy hour (5-7 per the writing on their window) and the entire restaurant was full of students on their laptops. Admittedly the restaurant is connected to the Lost Bean next door and, apparently, both sides offer free Wi Fi but there is a sign on the counter facing the door that stated those that look to be under 21, working on laptops and/or are primarily enjoying coffee beverages need to move to the coffee house side at 5 PM. I saw about 12 people on the Lost Vine side who looked to be under 21, were working on laptops and drinking coffee. The place is small to begin with and when you have 12 people taking up the few tables that are available, it makes it difficult for those of that are there to enjoy the wine. On top of all that, when I first arrived I stood at the counter (seeing as there was nowhere else for me to go) and waited probably 5 minutes before I even saw anyone that worked there. So, while waiting at the counter surrounded by college students and not getting served, I jumped on Yelp to see where else my friend and I might like to go (for those who are curious, we ended up walking a few doors down to Tustin Brewery as they offer happy hour from 3 to closing on Thursdays). read more

Came here for a wine night with an old friend. Server was very friendly, engaging, and prompt. Prices were reasonable. We got the charcuterie board and it was fantastic. Wine choices were excellent. Atmosphere was quiet, classy, and intimate, just what I'd look for in a wine bar. This is the kind of place where you can have a really good conversation with someone. The place is cute but just not what I anticipated. I was excited to find something near home but I was really wanting a wine bar meaning flights!!! That is the fun. Usually this little wine bar which is an off shoot of The Lost Bean is a quiet place to meet for a glass of wine or two before heading to dinner at Christakis which is also in the same plaza and a 5 star spot as well. I came here with my book group, and I was the first to arrive. I got my glass of wine, and realized that there wasn't that much space to sit, so I got a little table while I waited for everyone else to come by. After awhile, we moved over to the Lost Bean, where I got a really good pumpkin muffin and listened to some live music. Pretty happy with my experience today and pleasantly surprised by this in tustin (we def need more Independent hip places like this here) . They do have a happy hour if your wondering from 5-7 only on food, mentioned it'd be awesome if there was a happy hour wine as well. Food was actually pretty good and prepared by a very sweet lady. The bartender was definitely friendly and cared about her job which gains points for me. I let her choose my wines based of what I told her I like and she was spot on so thanks :-). I went here for the first time tonight. I should tell you that I am a long long time fan of The Lost Bean ( I was their Duchess for a while in fact) tonight, my friends and I decided to hit up The Lost Vine. Minus the staff, it was lovely. The selection of wine was tasty and reasonable priced, the ambiance is really nice but unfortunately I have to take away a few stars because of the employee working the wine bar. She was so drunk, and told us that she was. First she didn't card any of us. Everyone at our table was over 21 but a few of us definitely look young. She was slamming our cups down on the table and telling us not to get too rowdy because the table was wobbly... unfortunately she was the one that was slamming our cups down and shaking the table. She opened our wine at the bar, away from our table, and then let it sit there for a good 5-10 minutes while she talked to her friend. At one point she tried tossing something to her friend and it went flying over the bar on to the floor by us. Rather than walking around the counter she climbed over the counter and was crawling on her knees for a while, once she made a few jokes about being on her knees, she hoped back up and over the table again. I love The Lost Bean and I had such high hopes for The Lost Vine but unfortunately I was quite let down tonight. read more
