They have HH deals with wines over $14 are $2 off. We both got a flight of three ($15) and 2 other glasses of wine. For food we got the chicken pot pie, short rib tacos, and the tomato soup. Chicken pot pie (9/10)-flaky rich and tons of flavor highly recommend getting this one! Short rib taco (7/10)-slightly dry but good portion probably won't get it again Tomato soup (8/10)-filling and heals the soul tomato forward with hint of spice. Great spot to grab some wine! My husband and I shared a wine flight and a charcuterie board. After the flight we ordered our own glass of wine we liked. Some of their food items sounded good too, I'll have to come back a next time! The wines were light and flavorful. My favorite was the Rosé. First time out here on 12/2. I was so excited because I actually looked at the menu and am always eager to SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES , But after this visit, I will find other local businesses who actually appreciate their patrons. 1. Food - Flatbread was burnt. 2. Drinks - Happy Hour prices were decent. 3. Atmosphere - Negative. Holly nor jolly. Main musical act, you were great until you stopped the music to bring attention to the whole place that we were leaving. I actually felt bad, came back in to give you a cash tip for the inconvenience and then you proceeded to tell me (on the microphone) to keep my money because I NEEDED IT! Who are you to comment on what my financial means are?! Then, the saxophone player literally followed me, blaring his freaking horn( out if tune btw) at me, chasing me out into the sidewalk. No, this is not an exaggeration. I don't know if you think that this is a joke, but it definitely didn't feel like it. Also, please note that the reason why we were leaving is because even though there was plenty of space, for some reason, everyone seemed to crowd around me in the narrow aisle, shout into my ear having their own conversations. Which is fine. I don't expect silence in a bar, but I don't expect to be included in your conversation. at least say hello and I'll join in. Oh what else... Children were running through and around my table, almost knocking over my drink. An adult actually almost hit us with his arms flailing about because he had negative spatial and situational awareness. It was obvious that one of the people there was the owner who let his CHILD SIT & STAND ON THE BAR, which I'm sure isn't necessarily the most hygienic thing to do or to code. This was the first time here. We were excited for the food, happy hour and live music! Unfortunately, tonight was not what we expected. The band was fun, until it got packed with children running around the narrow spaces & too many people crowding my space while we were trying to eat and enjoy the music. But between the over crowded space and inconsiderate people having loud full on discussions in my ear while the band was performing and people trying eat was not cool. I really felt out of place and no longer felt welcomed. The staff allowed regulars to invade our space to the point where dudes were bumping into my table and standing creeply close behind me. I honestly felt violated. Literally felt like we were getting pushed out on purpose. We finally conceeded to the level of inappropriate rudeness by the regulars and staff allowing and enabling them to continue to molest our table space. We finally closed out the tab and proceeded to walk out only for the band to stop and point out that we were leaving to make the experience even more traumatic for us. Honestly the lack of respect for non regulars or even any patrons is appalling. But to allow the sax player to run us out was just over the top. While I've been to the Lost Bean, the coffee/cafe part of the building many times, this is my first going to the Lost Vine. They have a nice selection of wines, and some beers which are better priced during happy hour. The server was nice and helpful and checked on us throughout our time. Tucked away in Olde Town Tustin is the Lost Vine, right next to the Lost Bean coffee shop. I had a very pleasent experience while looking for a place to get some work done. I lucked out with Happy Hour and decided to enjoy a glass of the Arrowood red wine with the tasty Short Rib Raviolli. They are small plates, and will take about two per person to fill up on, but as a light snack or pairing with a great glass of wine, it's the perfect size. The barkeep, Sarah, was friendly, welcoming, and told me all about their specials along with her recommendation for plate/wine pairs. I recommend if you're looking for a place to dive into a book or laptop with a glass of wine (or coffee from the shop next door). On a Friday night, it wasn't too crowded or wild. Came here Friday because we heard the live music and were in the area, decided to stop for a glass of wine and a couple appetizers. The place was absolutely packed, but we were able to settle in a table in the corner. The music was some lovely young kids and they had quite the lively audience! Sydney, the bartender, was lovely also. She suggested a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and it was so good we finished it pretty fast! When we ordered food, she thoughtfully let us know that the kitchen was very backed up given the unexpected crowd and it would be a while. When the short rib tacos and beef sliders did eventually come out, they were out of this world! We ordered another bottle of Chardonnay while we were at it, and Sydney kindly came over and served us. My two girlfriends and I ordered the bacon wrapped dates, avocado hummus, cheese & charcuterie board, and the arugula salad with chicken. The bacon wrapped dates were my favorite. The blue cheese was not overpowering and the dates weren't too sweet. Overall, good balance and I would order again. The avocado hummus and charcuterie board were underwhelming and I wouldn't reorder these. The arugula salad was really good and there were generous portions of the chicken we added to the dish. This was the most popular dish between the three of us. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my favorite wine bar (Twisted Vine in Fullerton) with its amazing brie bowl and wider food selection. Okay you all! Let me start by telling you how charming this place is. It has a rustic feel! The seating is great for smaller parties. But they made accommodations for all of us. Which I really appreciated. Upon entering we were greeted by a kind hostess, Emily! She made our whole experience so pleasant. Possibly because she was so patient with all our demands and needs . She was constantly attentive to our table. We never lacked anything. That's the kind of service that totally makes you want to come back. Onto the food now! We started off with the only bread appetizer they had. Let's just say it was so good we ended getting four more of that dish. We had the arugula salad . It did not disappoint! Something so simple, yet so good! After we had the 1st pasta dish, forgive me for not catching the name of it. But it was so good, that I am actually craving it right now. We also repeated that dish a couple times. The second pasta dish wasn't my favorite, possibly because the noodles wigged me out . But the sauce was probably my favorite out of all of them. The last pasta dish as a whole was my favorite. Possibly because it catered to my spicy side. It was such a treat when the chef himself came out to bring it himself. That made us feel so VIP!!! Just to let you all know, the pasta is all made from scratch, by hand! The desserts I could've done without! Canolili has to be spectacular, because I've had some made fresh. I ordered a $14 Cabernet Sauvignon & my fiancé ordered the $12 Pinot Noir. If you aren't a wine person, they also have a beer selection. This place also serves complimentary bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. We decided to share the $10 Caprese, $16 Scallop Crudo, & the $15 Prosciutto Flatbread. The Prosciutto Flatbread was fantastic! The hours of this Wine Bar is 5pm-9pm Wednesday-Saturday. Unfortunately they are closed Sunday-Tuesday. I always try to convince people to meet up on Tuesdays here, because it means we can take advantage of the 5 wine flight for only $12! A steal! It is bartender's choice, but usually includes both reds and whites. I have always had pretty exceptional service on the wine side (the other side is a coffee shop, The Lost Bean). As for food, think small bites. If you aim for happy hour, food is 20% off, and I usually get one of the flatbreads to munch on. Came here for date night on a Saturday after several failed attempts at other spots in various cities. I guess it was fate! We originally came to the Lost Bean, but upon ordering we found out that the Lost Vine was next door. So....we decided to try that out instead. What a pleasant surprise! My husband wanted low key, and thankfully we just missed a big party that was there for the wine tasting. Spencer, the manager was very informative and was happy to answer all of our questions. And, he was happy that my husband recognized his Wisconsin tat! He set us up with some very tasty beer and cider selections and gave us a little more information about what to expect on the different days. We were extremely pleased with the atmosphere, service and selections. We will definitely be coming back again. This may be our new watering hole! read more

Both spaces are used as the coffee shop during the day, but around 4:30pm they (kindly) start asking laptop users to move to the left side of the shop to prep for The Lost Vine's evening wine bar (no laptops in the wine area after 5pm). I've come here on a Monday night (open mic night), a Tuesday (5 generous tasting pours for $12 -- the best deal!), as well as a Sunday afternoon (enjoyed a glass of wine and read a book). I came by on a Saturday night and they were closed for a bachelorette party -- I don't think that happens too often, but note that it might. It's THE first place we've gone for wine tasting, however, where the producer/winemaker was never even named -- we were just advised of the varietal. Also surprising, no listing of the wines (or descriptions) were given, either verbally or made available on a menu for us to read on our own. The Lost Vine had been on my radar for months since I heard that they "stemmed" (lol get it) from a coffee shop [The Lost Bean]. The ambiance is really relaxing from the cozy couches, to the smooth jazz that is played. PS I am a sucker for smooth jazz. Also, the food is very light and refreshing. I had the bacon wrapped dates that came with a side salad. The price ($7) of these appetizers and many others on the menu were not bad at all. UGHHH the dates were perfect with a nice glass of malbec. A little on the pricey side. How to go from a 3 star to a 2 star: No description of the wines anywhere written or verbal. Uncomfortable due to limited spacing and no air conditioning. Spotty rude service. How to from a 2 star to a 1 star: Having the bartender (Pat/Kat) give you attitude when you ask to correct her mistake, and then having her literally slam the new receipt in front of your face. Having that same bartender complain how we split the bill right in front of our group to other patrons. After putting in a complaint via phone call on the drive home and having that same bartender call my cell phone (is that even legal??) not one, not twice, but three times until I finally had an opportunity to call back, in which case she just accosted me with ramblings without letting me get a word in. Side notes not affecting rating: In a place teeming with obvious high school students, checking for IDs maybe a good idea. Tip is for good service, so anything above a 0% for this horrible experience is really quite generous (she later claimed she was part owner which means 0 tip as well) Last but not least, referring to groups as "you people" probably is not the most kosher thing to say to any group. read more

My husband and I checked out this place for the first time last night. We love wine tasting and we live really close, so wine not? The environment itself is nice. They have seats at the bar, a few upright tables and a few little nook tables. The lighting and decor is nice. We opted to order 2 wine flights for $9 each and we could select 3 wines from either the red or white selections. The guy taking our order was super nice. However, he could only find one menu in the entire restaurant that we had to share. It wasn't busy either. Only 3 other patrons were there and nobody had a menu. He suggested a wine which turned out to be great, but he seemed pretty vocal about not being a wine drinker which seemed odd to us. We were not made aware that there was a food menu until we paid at the end and only because I saw a little menu by the cash register. We've been to several other wine bars who really have a leg up on this one. However, we don't want to lose this place, so we have a few suggestions for improvement: -Make a tasting flight menu with multiple suggestions, to get your guests thinking about combos. It was sort of a free for all. However, there were no descriptions of each wine, so you really don't know what your tasting until you order. -Discuss with guests good food pairings to compliment the wine. We would have ordered food had we known. This would be a great addition to the tasting flight menu suggestion. Such as, "this wine selection pairs well with the cheese plate" or something. Having these menus (like the one on the stand at the register) at each table could be a good idea too? -Have some little snacks available. Nothing big but a little bowl of olives or Marconi almonds. Something to snack on. People may stay longer and order more! -Since we ordered at the register, he poured all of our tastings and we had to carry each one individually to the table. I lost track of which wine was which. He did help us carry it, but it would make more sense to have wine flight boards, so once poured at the bar, they could be easily carried to and from the table. -Have something for guests to write down what wine they're drinking. There were no markers, so we were trying to remember which was which. Either a check-off disposable sheet. Or a laminated one (if you're worried about cost) that could also be checked off and wiped clean. -I assume it was a coffee barista employee, not sure? However, she must have been on her break and she ate her dinner at a corner space near the wine glasses. Because that is the "bar" essentially, watching her sit and eat her food was honestly unappetizing and seemed unprofessional. Hey, I totally get a girls gotta eat! However, there were LOTS of empty tables at both the adjoining coffee shop and wine bar. She could have taken a seat there and not been on display. -Last but not least, hire a sommelier! Or, if you can't, make sure the wine bar guy doesn't let everyone in the bar know he doesn't drink wine. It's weird. Additionally, the tasting pours were VERY uneven. One was filled up to the top, one 1/2 way, one 2/3. Give the guy a pour spout so they are even every time. This will help with controlling your inventory and the customer won't feel screwed by "weak" pours. That is our 2 cents for now. We hope you'll take it as feedback to make some positive changes to the experience for your customers!
