Stopped at 17th street grill. The service here was good. The inside was larger than it looks from outside. Clean and well layed out. The happy hour food was good. Will stop here again

Came again for dinner again, this time for my mother-in-law's birthday. We ordered off the menu this time. They have a lot of fantastic appetizers. Mushroom Bruschetta, Brussel Sprouts, Chicken Wings, Avocado Bruschetta. This time I ordered the House Salad ($11) which has salami, mushrooms, cheese and house dressing. It was really good. Then I got the Roasted Chicken Carbonara ($22), not so great. On paper, this is my favorite pasta - prosciutto, peas, smoked cream sauce. It was not a Carbonara, the cream sauce was watery like they didn't drain the pasta well. Luckily I had filled up on tasty appetizers and the House Salad, so I took most of the pasta home. As leftovers it was slightly better since the sauce had thickened up and I could cut up the prosciutto into bite size pieces. Great service, lovely time with the family. This is a good place if you have a large group.

Hi, Today I went to 17th Street Grill for lunch. This is pretty much a non-descript restaurant in Tustin off 17th and the 55 freeway. There were two of us for lunch. We were seated in a half booth. As my partner sat down in the chair side of the half booth the pad on the chair top fell off! As we attempted to replace the chair the manager came over. We showed him the chair and said, "There are no screws in the seat." Obviously. Then he just rolled his eyes. No apology, nothing. As for the food, We both ordered the Cobb salad. Myself the large version, my partner the small. When the salads came. My salad was in a different type of bowl, but it was very obvious that my portion was actually smaller than the small version which was $4.00 dollars less! It's sad, as the salad was actually pretty good. But it was hard to enjoy it when you know you could have gotten a larger salad for $4.00 less! Before you say they messed the up the two salads, we confirmed mine was the large with the waitress. I hate giving one star reviews! But, in this case I really felt there was no other option. Jim

My husband and I went on an impromptu visit to our friends house last night. We did a double date night with them here as they live down the street. We started with the brussel sprouts and chicken wings. Both were great! My husband and I thought they were really good wings and sauce (we have a thing for wings and critique them ;-) the only complaint we had is that it only came with 5 wings in the order. For our main meal we got the meatball pizza. I really had a hankering for pizza last night and this didn't disappoint! It was huge and we had plenty left over. Our friends got a shrimp pasta dish, they said it was good. One of the servers brought over 2 lovely, little bouquets of flowers in a mason jar and gave them to me and my friend. They had some left over from an event they had on the patio. So nice! We will definitely eat there again when we're in the area.

We started with the Classic Mezze, and I really loved the tomato dip. It was fresh, bright, and flavorful with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. It paired so well with the warm pita and was a great appetizer to share. The Santa Ana Omelette was definitely my favorite and something I'd highly recommend! The melted cheese was so gooey, and the fresh pico de gallo added the perfect pop of flavor. Every bite was creamy, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. My friend ordered the French Platter, and it looked so beautiful on the table. The pastries were buttery, flaky, and definitely on the richer side, making them perfect to enjoy with coffee. The Utopia Latte was sooo good! It had delicate floral notes, and the white chocolate sauce added just the right touch of sweetness. It was smooth, fragrant, and such a unique latte. The Strawberry Salad was light, crisp, and super refreshing, especially alongside the richer dishes. For dessert, the Pistachio Baklava was the perfect finish. Crispy, nutty, and just the right amount of sweetness. If you're looking for a beautiful spot for a brunch date, a coffee catch-up, or simply a peaceful place to unwind, this is definitely worth checking out. The food is delicious, the presentation is beautiful, and the whole vibe makes it such an enjoyable place to spend a slow afternoon.

Personally wouldn't order this again, as I prefer a light whipped butter on rich, buttery bread over sourdough. - Basque Cheesecake: A solid dessert to end on. Tasty, not overly sweet, and the cheese flavor wasn't too overpowering. Parking in the back is quite tight with only about 5-6 spaces. There is also some street parking too.

It's an absolute must-order if you're visiting for the first time. One thing I did notice was when I went to wash my hands, I saw a server enter the restroom while still wearing their apron. As someone who has worked as a server, that stood out to me because I was always taught to remove my apron before entering a restroom. It's a small detail, but I think it helps maintain a professional and sanitary image, especially when handling food. Aside from that observation, the food and overall experience were excellent.
