My name is Frank Rassam. I have been a loyal and frequent customer of your Bell & Tatum location since 2010. I shop at this store approximately three times per week, and there are months when I spend between $2,000 and $3,000. I have always considered Home Depot my primary store for my needs. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me extremely upset and deeply disappointed.On February 4th 2026, I purchased an assembled Masterbuilt smoker Order # H0464-502286 that was displayed outside the store on clearance, reduced from approximately $899 to $274.Because the smoker was very heavy, I returned the following morning with a rented truck and hired help to load and unload it. This required additional time and expense on my part.After bringing the smoker home and attempting to use it, I discovered it was defective.Within a couple of days, I returned to the store. I was informed that because it was the last unit in stock, it could not be exchanged, even though I was within the 90-day return and exchange period. I was advised to contact the manufacturer, Masterbuilt.I attempted to resolve the issue directly with Masterbuilt. They only communicated through email, requested that I send a video, then claimed the video would not open, and failed to provide a phone number despite my request. I have attached proof of my email correspondence with Masterbuilt to demonstrate that I made a serious effort to resolve this matter responsibly.I returned again to the store on 2/12/2026 around 8:30 pm and spoke with a young cashier (a bearded young man whose name I unfortunately do not remember). He was respectful and genuinely tried to assist me. He confirmed I was still within the 90-day return or exchange period and checked inventory at another location (Talking Stick, Arizona), which showed three units available. To avoid wasting more time and money, I asked him to call that location to confirm they would process the exchange before I transported the defective smoker there. After calling, he was informed that they would not assist because the smoker had not been purchased at their store.At that point, I requested to speak with the manager, Nancy.I must also note that I had a previous negative experience with Nancy about a year ago. At that time, I was attempting to get assistance, and she repeatedly ignored me while speaking with someone else, even though it was clear I needed help. I chose not to report that incident because I assumed she may have been having a bad day.During this recent interaction, I calmly explained the entire situation -- the defective smoker, the rental truck, the hired labor, my failed attempts with the manufacturer, and the time and money I had already spent. I clearly stated that Home Depot sold me the smoker, and therefore Home Depot should take responsibility in helping to find a solution.Instead of taking ownership or offering meaningful assistance, Nancy became dismissive and frustrated. She stated that she has dealt with "customers like you" many times. I found that statement inappropriate and disrespectful, especially toward a long-term loyal customer.After expressing frustration, the only action she took was handing me a phone number for the manufacturer -- which I had already been attempting to contact without success. There was no escalation of the matter, no proactive solution, and no sense of accountability from store management.I also raised a serious concern: how is it acceptable for an assembled unit to be sold if it appears not to have been tested? What if this defective smoker had caused a fire at my patio ? Instead of addressing this concern professionally, she responded sarcastically, asking whether she is expected to check everything in the store before selling it. That response was unacceptable.This entire situation wasted my time, cost me additional money for transportation and labor, and left me feeling disrespected.I also want to state respectfully that I have an accent when I speak. I do not want to make accusations without proof, but I could not ignore the difference in tone I have observed in how I am treated compared to other customers. If there is any bias involved -- cultural, racial, or otherwise -- that is deeply concerning and should be reviewed seriously.To be clear, I am not requesting compensation. I am requesting that this complaint be formally reviewed and get addressed professionally I respectfully request a professional response and confirmation that this matter is being reviewed. Home Depot's are everywhere through the valley but this Home Depot at Tatum/Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my favorites. It is does have a confusing parking lot due to it being situated on a busy corner intersection. The garden center is always immaculate and I often find different plants there that are either sold out or not at other Home Depot's. Also the plants there always seem to be in much better condition than other locations. The inside store is neater seems better stocked than most locations and I've always had good luck there when talking with staff. I do find the entrance smaller parking lot a challenge but since I'm a dedicated gardener I will continue to frequent this location. read more

While I find myself at other home improvement stores more often, this is the location of the Home Depot that I probably stop by the most. I have purchased random items in this store both in the moment as well as ordering ahead, and I also have used their customer service in the store to return or exchange an item before. While the employees are helpful, I have gotten mixed messages from their customer service at this location in the past and also found information shared was not always accurate. I also do not have the best impression of their return/exchange policies. Most recently, I had purchased a water heater from this location less than two years ago with a twelve year warranty. The company agreed that they messed up and were responsible for the water heater's malfunction, and so they were arranging to take care of all costs from the replacement to the labor. Home Depot would only replace it on a pro-rated basis, which while I understand is Home Depot policy, Home Depot is still getting a 100% refund by the company itself. I was just over $80 out of luck, though I guess I am fortunate that it wasn't a year or two later in the warranty. No one was happy with Home Depot, but this is normal for them. I also had different answers from different managers and associates for everything from placing an item aside for pickup (which you can only do after you purchase it but that wasn't what I was told initially) to how price matches work and how they apply to an exchange. The store itself is well organized. The store hours are daily from 5 AM to 10 PM except for Sunday from 7 AM to 8 PM. Curbside is open from 9 AM to 6 PM daily. Store features include home services (certified, local experts to assist you), rental center (rent top quality tools and trucks for any size project), garden center (plants, garden tools and more), and pro desk (pro savings, place custom orders, save time and money). Other store features include Buy Online Deliver from Store, Buy Online Pick Up in Store, Expanded Flooring Showroom, Key Cutting, Kitchen Showroom, Large Equipment Rental, Home Depot Truck Rental, Propane Exchange, Tool Rental, and Free WiFi. Ordered a Bosch dishwasher, after the hassle of getting them to deliver later in the day bc I work, the installers seemed rushed, after about 5 mins they said the valves weren't good, the house is 2 years old, Home Depot asked me to pay to hire a plumber, he came out and said nothing was wrong it's a 2 story house and takes a little longer to drain water. The installer, from Temco, was quick to encourage me to cancel and refuse the order and get a refund. Wondered if he was just incompetent or in a rush? Home Depot needs to vet their installers better. So does Temco. What a time consuming experience with HomeDepot delivery. read more

So we recently got a dog for my son and are getting him trained to be a service dog. Our trainer has used this location for a long time and has never had issues. This week alone she told us she's had at least 3 different experiences where employees have given her and her clients a hard time. Today it was our turn apparently... Our dog is a little over a year old. He is a miniature American shepherd corgi mix. Every time except our first visit and this visit I have brought paper towels AND a bag in case he's had an accident. Today I remember the paper towels and not the bag. It was sitting in my car... And... Of course... He had an accident... Right in front of an employee. I quickly pulled out my paper towels and began cleaning up the mess. She found out I didn't have a bag and said she'd go get one for us. I thought it was very kind... Then as she took our soiled paper towels and the bag, she instructed me to wash my hands right away and not touch anything! (I had adjusted my shirt with my non soiled clean up hand) In the bathroom I again thanked her for her help and thought everything was good.. but then she came out of the bathroom and threatened that if we didn't walk immediately to aisle 3 and buy bags, she'd call a manager and report us. According to my son, she then made a "I'm watching you" gesture. I missed it. We chose to leave. I called the manager on my way to the car and explained the situation. She was shocked at how we had been treated and said we should never have been treated that way.. that they have bags for that reason and dogs have accidents in the store all the time. I don't think we will be back. I was actually going to buy a drill battery after our session today but after being threatened by the employee.. with my son and his service dog... I decided they didn't deserve my business. So beware... Not only does this location seem to lack the ability to adhere to home depots policy on allowing any dogs in, they seem particularly unkind to service dogs in training and their owners. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the manager I spoke to did apologize and said it should never have happened. I have attached a photo to show our dog at a grocery store where service dogs are the only dogs allowed in..we got a better response from the employees here than at this home depot where supposedly all dogs are welcome. read more

We ordered an LG washer and dryer with pedestals in May and it's July and we still do not have an undented dryer. They delivered a dented dryer three times. They even scratched the pedestal when they used a dolly to bring in the new dryer. We were going to have a fourth one delivered but we have had enough and canceled it all. We are sending everything back and going to Costco to get the actual machine I wanted for less money. Hopefully the delivery experience will be much better. They admitted to us that this has been happening a lot lately. Don't buy big appliances at Home Depot! read more

We were in the neighborhood and stopped here to see what type of pots they carried. My hubby remembered some time ago, they carried a huge selection of the type he wanted. It seems they had everything except the type he was looking for. We gave it the old college try. At least he felt accomplished in knowing that he tried. If I could give less stars I would. It's not this store alone it's the delivery. I ordered 2 vanities to be delivered. Said would be here by 10/7 then changed to 10/8 then to 10/9 then 10/10. Well still not here. No answers from anyone. Can't get ahold of the delivery team because they used Estes and then they turned around used another delivery company that somehow nobody can get ahold of. Now it's Saturday 10/11 and I have been working with virtual assistance and of course they are useless. Nobody can do anything to help or they just don't want to. I will NEVER purchase anything from Home Depot again that needs to be delivered because this is a nightmare read more

Doing a refresh in our kitchen and some plumbing pipe reconfiguration was needed. My wife called late afternoon last week and spoke to Jeff. He could not have been more genuine, informative and helpful. She told him we would come in after dinner to purchase what he suggested as he was also so attuned to the issue and smart about what we would need. Also told her that this black piping is very dirty and they would wipe it down for us as my wife has a medical condition where this would be so, so, appreciated. We showed up and Jeff was there and we connected and he then took the time to explain why he recommended these parts and fittings and even demonstrated a little. There was a gentleman named Rick, who was also there who offered to do whatever we needed. We were just blown away as this is the type of treatment you get at high-end stores and hotels like the Ritz Carlton. I just called customer service for my moms lost phone. We tracked it and it was left in the parking lot. I asked if someone can go out to look but the lady I was talking to said that it was not a priority or obligation of home depot to go look because nothing has been turned in. To me, this is a big deal, meaning, the phone could be driven over at any moment. Home depot might not be obligated to go look for it while we were on our way, but they could have the decency to go look out of kindness and courtesy. She has a passive aggressive tone and little patience, she was is not suit for answering customer service calls. Just a disappointing experience. read more

Or if you need to plant or maintain something it is here along with generally very knowledgeable people to give good decisions on. I think I go here about 2 to 3 times a week and can just walk around seeing what will make my life easier. Love this place read more

I had booked a moving van for this past Saturday. About 3 hours before my scheduled time, I got a cancellation email. I was pretty annoyed that they could just cancel like that... but when I called... I realized that it was a very stressful day for Home Depot. All their electronic systems had gone down. And the truck was never returned by the prior renter. This review is really just to say how great and nice the Home Depot employee was despite how much stress he was under. I wish I knew his name but it was the evening of 10/22. He did the best he could with what he was dealt with. He had to print out every contract and do it by hand since the systems were down. I am here far too often . It's the Adult toy store, I come in for a couple items & leave with a small mortgage payment! I like the store because 99%of the employees are helpful with a smile, the ONE person in the paint department, Brayton is the ONLY person in home depot that has terrible customer service skills & an bad attitude towards work. DO NOT ASK HIM FOR HELP, you will be a bother. We have had the unfortunate experience to interact with him too often 5 times, since we are painting (testing different colors). Brayton's body language & comments scream "you're bothering me". Everyone else is awesome. The bathroom is in the back through the flooring section. I witnessed multiple unsafe acts on powered industrial trucks endangering customers and staff alike and was then almost hit by an operator reversing from an isle while looking the opposite direction. No control measures were in place and the flag person was not paying attention. To top the experience off the payment system went down. Big management failures at this location. read more

This is a home depot my family come into all the time, until we dealt with the paint department with an individual named Barbara. She is unprofessional, rude to the employees she works with and not nice to anyone she interacts with. I know several contractors who have come into this store, and have told me the same stories, and my husband had a similar experience with Barbara last week. You request for assistant with paint- You are made to feel like you don't know what you are doing. I was trying to get paint for our property, and she then blamed the computer system for not working correctly due to the election and what that is causing, and then was talking to the male working next to her like he was a piece of garbage. I would encourage management to speak with Barbara about the way she interacts with her co workers, management and customers. No one, especially her co workers, deserves to be talked to like that. read more

Then went into the store and no one was at the door section area. Someone called for a service person and never arrived. No one really seemed to care. Worst service. 12/1/23: Been going here for 25-yrs. Has been going down hill since Covid. Now they've gone off a cliff! Tried to get help in lumber several times over 1/2 hour. Clerks kept paging help. Nobody showed. Manager said he was busy. Second time he just hung up on me. Told front desk "Guess I'm going to Lowe's". He just smiled and said "OK". Went to Lowe's in N Scottsdale. Waited over 30 minutes for an employee to bring down a small water heater for us. When he closed the isle to bring the forklift in to get it down went ahead and let a couple in and proceeded to help them for another ten minutes watching me stand right there knowing I had already waited 30 minutes. Then my wife comes back because the front store supervisor followed her for a while then sent another employee to watch her as if she was shoplifting but clearly we had to window shop because we had to wait so damn long. Everyone here was super friendly and so sweet! We brought our pup in and everyone was so nice to him! The older lady at self checkout with the pink hair was super rude and was insinuating that my boyfriend was stealing. She was watching us the whole time and saw us scan each item and place it in the bag. I worked in retail all my life so I know exactly what she was doing and didn't appreciate it. Lots of people in the store but hard to find someone that is willing to help. I called to see about a particular bolt size and if it was in stock. They said they have a limited quality but should have it. When upon asking if someone would be willing to help me find one when I get there, the operator's response is, "haha just go to aisle 20 and you'll find it!" Mind you there's many hundreds of types of bolts, screws and misc fasteners..... when I got there this morning, I had no idea what I was looking at. I came back in the evening when I had more time. I went back to the aisle and there was a gentleman working, I politely asked if he could help me find this particular bolt.... I got an instant eye roll! I'm sorry to be a burden but not everyone is super hardware savvy. When you work service, your day goes so much smoother by being proactive and willing to help. Don't be Walmart workers! read more
