I love this location! The plants here always look healthy and there's more variety than at the one at Southern, and everything is always well-labeled. I usually can find something here I haven't seen at the other nurseries that week. This week I snagged some guara, hummingbird bush, and a gorgeous pink trumpet vine that's actually not toxic to pets (as most trumpet vines are). The staff all seem very knowledgeable and are really helpful. There are two older gentlemen that walk around and are always especially kind and helpful. There are some chickens clucking about and if you go in the indoor plant area you can meet parrots Jack and Diane who are happy to have a chat with you. A beautiful nursery!! I didn't realize how big this nursery was from the parking lot. Once we walked in, there's plants everywhere you look. There's also an amazing greenhouse where you can find all the indoor plants. All the plants here are well taken care of and there's such a wide selection of plants, everyone is bound to find the right one to take home. We left with a Chinese Money Plant and a Zebra Plant, and we got both for under $20. Amazing deal! I highly recommend stopping at the nursery first if you're looking for a new plant baby to bring home. Recently visited Whitfull Nursery to get an idea on cost of some citrus trees and a few desert plans for some landscaping we wanted to do. We were not really sure what to expect. The place is massive and they have a HUGE selection. Though the Agave, cacti and various other plants they had were beautiful and larger than what you could get at your basic hardware store, the price definitely reflects it. That being said, we did find their more developed tree's to be a potential option. Much more developed and many of the fruit trees already producing. They even plant them and provide a few month warranty as well as offer additional add on services. The team onsite was great, super friendly and helpful with questions we may have. We were more just getting an idea of what we may want. They also offer various mix and match promotions on three or more tree's which comes out to about 10% off. The tree's range in cost depending on age and type of course. Overall, solid option and will definitely circle back as we start on that project. The restroom was definitely a bit rest, more of a working restroom, but they do have one! read more

We have had wonderful luck with our plants that we have purchased from Whitfill Nursery! Our backyard is filled with hopseed and star jasmine and all of it is weathering very well! The service here is incredible! We have had the same gentleman help us probably 4 times - but he is very knowledgable and explains everything in good detail so we know how to take care of the plants once they are off the lot. Because of his help we have had all of our plants survive the transplant once they were planted at home. The prices seem fair and they have a HUGE variety of plants, indoors/outdoors/desert/tropical/trees/shrubs/flowers and other garden items, soil, pots, and fun garden accessories. Arrived at 8:06 this morning and front gate was still shut. Ladies inside oblivious to us being there even when I went up to the window to ask if they were open. Husband went up to a younger guy who was bent over something near the front desk. When asked if they were open he just said, 'yeah' but never turned around. Walked around the lot looking for someone to help us but nobody about. As we were leaving my husband saw the young man again and said, "Thanks for the help" only to have the kid laugh at us. We were there to buy 2 large trees to be planted and drove all the way from far east Mesa because when we lived in Gilbert we always had amazing service and quality product from here. We love going to nursery specially when u are prepping up for your summer planting season. Have heard so much about this nursery and finally visited on a Saturday. Wowza!! They have everything, I was so impressed. They are pretty strict on the mask mandate and we loved that. They have a huge selection of pottery, their garden accessories is amazing like the stone Buddha, Chinese lantern, frogs, birds etc. They have a great indoor plant selection too, very well organized. The turkey and chickens are part of the nursery and great attraction with the kids. Overall pretty great collection of plants. We bought a banana and the price was reasonable. After going to three other nurseries on the same Saturday, I finally stopped off at Whitfills and wow am I impressed! They have it all! Gorgeous pottery, a huge variety of any plant you would want, fun gardening knick knacks, indoor/outdoor plants, lots of helpful and friendly staff, and even free-roaming turkeys and chickens! One even gave me a startle when it gobble-gobble'd at me! And with three locations valley-wide, there's no reason for you to not stop at Whitfill's. They're family-owned and operated since 1946! We love a local place with 70-years of history in Arizona! The greenhouse is gorgeous and Whitfill's is my new go-to place for all my gardening goods. This is truly the Wonderland of all nurseries! My hubby took me here on a whim! All I can say is what took you so long! I can spend all day here and probably will do that the next time I come back on my own. They have everything here! Right down to variegated lemon trees which I've never seen before. So much to see and so much to enjoy. Great collections of in and out door plants. The turkeys that were roaming the place reminded me of being at a farm. Prices are moderate and plenty of staff members to assist you with any questions. Went to look at trees this morning, and the man that helped me stepped in and put his arm around me as he was talking about trees to me. he didn't even listen to what I was looking for, and started telling me about trees that clearly did not fit my needs. Very creepy and I was so shocked. I let him show me around, but I left and I'm now on my way to another nursery where I will buy the exact same tree, even if it cost more. I love this place so much! Beautiful location, friendly employees, good quality plants, and the kids love the dinosaur sculptures. But, my FAVORITE part about Whitfill is their Christmas tree farm set up! Popcorn and a bonfire in the "forest"? Yes please! Although as a beginner gardener/plant parent I felt pretty frustrated a lot of plants weren't labeled at all, so I have no idea what half the stuff was. I like to walk around at my own pace, spot something that looks nice, see what it's called and research it myself. Then maybe ask questions if I'm unclear about something. I don't want to be hunting someone down every 30 seconds to ask what something is if I'm just curious. read more

I paid $150.00 for delivery of two ocotillos and one is missing 1/2 the dirt. I called the office and the girl did not care and was not interested in hearing about my concerns, or offering any hints/tips for ensuring the plant will survive. She said "ocotillo can survive almost anything and are sold barefoot sometimes". This is so very disappointing to be treated this way after spending over $300 on two plants and delivery. I liked the healthiness of your plants at the nursery and wanted them professionally delivered, but that was not what happened. I will never use your nursery and completely regret using your delivery service. I will make sure everyone I know hears about this experience and I will post this on YELP and Google so that other prospective customers realize they cannot trust the quality of your delivery service and there is no customer care after the sale. read more
