Easy location with friendly informative service. Stopped in here as two of plants didn't make the transition from Chicago to Phoenix. We were instantly greeted by the owner and educated on two plants, Swiss cheese plant (Monstera) and Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) that I had interest about. Additional we did some troubleshooting on a Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomioides) that is struggling right now. This shop is so cozy, diverse in stock, and full of plant accessories. Ended up with two plants, six (6) terra cotta water drains. They also have fertilizer and soil. Will be back for more plants and supplies. If you are in the East Valley, check this place out for sure. read more

I went into The Plant Mill planning to "just look," which is the universal lie plant people tell themselves before walking out with an armful of new green friends. First of all, the value and pricing on the plants is fantastic. It's one of those rare places where you can buy several plants and not feel like you need to sit down and process your bank statement afterward. They also had a ton of great starter plants, which I loved. It's perfect for people who enjoy starting small and getting to watch their plants grow and thrive over time (or at least giving them a fighting chance in my house). The selection of plant accessories was also great--pots, tools, and all the little things you didn't know you needed until you saw them and suddenly couldn't leave without them. Overall, it's a really fun place to wander through whether you're a seasoned plant person or someone who just bought their first pothos and is hoping for the best. Great plants, great prices, and a dangerous amount of temptation for anyone who loves greenery. I will absolutely be back... probably sooner than my windowsill space would prefer read more

"The Plant Mill - Not A Dispensary" I stumbled upon this magical plant shop on the busy Mill Ave. What a treat for the senses. A variety of gorgeous green house plants decorate the space. Tucked in are all sorts of other surprises: plant pots, stickers, local art, little gift items, and framed bugs (apparently there's a market for these too). The owner has a fun eye. I was just visiting town so resisted the urge to buy a plant. But I did find a a locally drawn card and local painting of the historic Mill Ave Bridge over Tempe Town Lake, the perfect gift for my boo who was racing the last ever Ironman in Tempe. Wow, what a refreshing experience! Thank you Cassidy & Joseph for being so informative during our visit. My husband and I both have green thumbs and have been slowly growing our plant collection. The Plant Mill has a beautiful selection of plants. From snake plants, pothos, African violets, to ZZ plants - They have them all! We purchased a little baby monsterra. Cassidy repotted our plant into a pot that we brought to the store. The Plant Mill has a rewards program, where you receive $10 off after 10 purchases. They also have other fun items in the store to purchase. I also learned that they offer unique classes to book and the calendar is on their website. This is an amazingly shop. The atmosphere and selection make you want to just hang out listening to the music and enjoy looking at the beautiful plants. The shop owner is also very nice and extremely knowledgeable about different ways to care for your plants. read more

It is hard to support a local business when they don't stay open for their posted hours. This is the second time I've come by and they were closed early. Sign in front of the door, door closed, with the employees cleaning up (and actually making out) in the back. I want to support a local plant shop but the inconsistency makes it hard. read more

My girlfriend and I came here looking for a few birthday gifts for our plant-loving friends and couldn't be happier! We got a fun zodiac themed pot and a few of these fun ceramic cacti as a Christmas gift for another friend. They had lots of colors of cactus and succulents -- and not just fakes! Lots of real plants to choose from. Friendly staff to help us make our selection and everything was priced reasonably. We even filled up our reward card for our next visit. We'll be back! read more
