Awesome nursery! Came here with my parents while they looked at stuff for their backyard and bright my son too. They have a lot to look at and choose from here, they have a little indoor area but most of the items are outside. My son especially loved the pond with the koi fish, the birds, and the chickens! I'm not super far from here so I'll have to come back next time I'm in need of anything for my own backyard! Or just if I want to hang out with some cool birds! We went to The Green Goddess in search of a replacement for our old, ugly, cracked, oversized, calcium crusted , algae infested, splashing monster of a patio fountain. We found The Green Goddess website and they're nearby. I was dreading the whole thing, thinking we wouldn't find anything that would work. And then there's the whole take-it-out and make-the-new-one-fit-the-hole issues, what about the plumbing and pump and so on. Hubby is much more level-headed, so we went. Wow, the business is so much bigger than you can see from the street! Excellent selection. We wandered around, trying to find what we liked. Such an amazing variety of working fountains on site! We saw one that was perfect, a design that would eliminate the splashing and cleaning drama, and a better size for our space. But wrong color. Along came Sara Cervantes to assist. Good grief, she knows everything to know about this stuff! She walked us all around the grounds showing us pots that would work, and they could make it into a fountain. We made the selection, she had guys come with fork lift to load it up, we made quick decisions about installation date, and BOOM we were done. Got great advice on maintenance. The installers came on the chosen day, dismantled and removed the old monster, and did a beautiful installation job. All of the employees are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and nice. Couldn't be happier! Just go, already! read more

Lovely experience with green goddess. I always buy my cucamelon seeds or Mexican gherkins here. We always speak to the same gentleman when we go and he is always so amazing and helpful. FYI- Highly recommend planting Mexican gherkins. They are the cutest they look like watermelons are the size of a grape and taste like cucumbers. read more

After many years of having a fountain installed by Green Goddess, it quit working. After they tore into the installation, the reason the fountain failed was because they put IRON pipes in the ground that was with water constantly and everything inside the ground had rotted, split in pieces and ortunately the gorgeous pot is still good, but the guts of the fountain had to be replaced including a much larger pump than what they put in. Heads up for you who may want to find out about what they use for installation. read more

I'm only here gor the rescue parrots - not. However, there is a cage of rescue macaws and another of African Greys, Cockateals and a small Green Amazon. Nurseries attract me like flowers sttract bees. I'm a sucker for a good plant. Whem I'm on tje grounds I hsve container, pot and fountain envy. I can afford compost, annual flowers and low water plants. Three years ago I bought two "Radiation" lantanas here. They looked like what's growing at Southwestern Eye. A neighbor loved yellow Home Depot lantanas. I put one un the ground to try k to appease. The Radiations have exploded like Nevada above-ground nuclear.tests. Yellow hangs tough, slowly spreading in it's place. An aloe I bought here blooms this year. It's an unusual variety. I can't wait to share it. I planted an ych-kaan in a west facing spot last July, 2022. Fatal mistake. Replacing it April, 2023. read more

Don't count on any help of them with fountain installations without paying for 2 guys and minimum charge of around $200. I did everything they said to setup my small fountain and couldn't get it stop splashing all over til their is no water left in the fountain. The guy I spoke with was very unhelpful to even have the person who sold me the fountain call me back and insisted on setting service call (for a fee) even though I told him I am a stroke victim have difficulty managing thing like this. Pretty rude in fact to deal with. Clearly not cut out for thoughtful customer service. read more

I really love this garden nursery. They carry a smaller amount of bedding plants but the quality and variety are superior. The landscape plants are wonderful and the different varieties is a welcome change from the big box businesses. The water garden is so lovely with the beautiful koi fish splashing and swimming around. How I would love to cave this green oasis in my back garden. They carry so many beautiful garden sculptures and garden art to add to your own garden. The different sculptures and water garden fountains are just wonderful. So many garden inspired gifts make it a great place to shop for your favorite gardener!! read more

Horrible nursery! Overpriced and poor customer service and plant warranty. They are 40 to 50% higher than Summer Winds Nursery and Home Depot. They dont guarantee there products. You buy it you're SOL. I bought a $31 plant two months ago when I bought a $290 ceramic pot( which I over payed for) and half of the plant died and half thrived I brought it back because I wanted to exchange it or get my money back and they said "no, it's not our fault that you didn't know how to water it!" I used a water meter and followed it. The owner Andre Lugo has a policy listed in the office "no returns". He has his people brainwashed to believe that's the right attitude to have towards customers! Home Depot takes plants back up to 6 months. Summer winds up to a year or more! There is zero reason to shop at The green goddess if they can't even survive in business if they have a return policy that they'll take purchases back within three months they shouldn't be in business. Perhaps if they made their products more reasonably priced and had better customer service policies maybe they wouldn't feel the need to overcharge. I really am in disbelief and sad that I had this experience. I spend a fortune on plants and pots. read more

A few weeks after purchasing a $1,000 house plant it appeared to be diseased. Green Goddess refused to do anything after several emails and phone calls. The manager was dismissive and could care less. One month later the plant is completely dead. We later saw the same plant at Costco for $150. If you love throwing your money away and being disrespected by the manager then this is the place for you. read more

Happened upon here on a drive. Cool spot. Quite large with an extensive selection. I thought the plants all looked really healthy and the decor choices are fun and tasteful. Quite a few of the price tags gave me sticker shock. They do care for a number of awesome rescued birds, including what looked to be 20 or so maccaws. I'm sure that has a cost so I feel good supporting that and the birds themselves are a beautiful day brightener! I opted for a cool cement turtle that I thought was priced reasonably. They carried it to my vehicle without being asked which I really appreciated. Worth a stop! read more

I was extremely disappointed in this nursery! Very small selection of plants and trees. After walking around for quite awhile, we were never asked if we needed any help, in fact, I didn't even see an employee. They also have a large cage where they are holding some parrots hostage, in dirty stinky cages, my heart went out to these exotic birds! My medium-sized fountain stopped working, and I called The Green Goddess Nursery, which had sold it to me 7 years ago. The next day I had a team of their men troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing it; it had an internal break in its tubing and sealant and motor needed replacing. The technician suggested adding a valve enabling me to control the splash as desired. Every aspect of working with this business was professional with clearly knowledgeable personnel in the office and in the field. If possible, I would add more stars to this rating. read more

Slipped in a $250 charge to upgrade the pump without discussing with me. Charged over $400 to install a fountain. Didn't adjust it properly resulting in water being splashed out in a circle almost 4 feet around the fountain. Refused to send the installers out to correct what they were paid to do and so obviously did incorrectly. Literally told me that I should correct the problem myself - "but be careful not to turn it down too much as that would damage the pump and void the warranty" Huh? When I spoke to the manager he agreed with the sales persons' statements and told me that "fountains splash". He said they would send someone out in a couple of weeks if I couldn't fix the problem myself. Be careful with these guys - they obviously only care about collecting the money - once they have it they just don't care if you're happy or not. read more

For the past several weeks I searched local home centers for a replacement water pump for a several decade old multi-tier water fountain that came with my house without success. The local Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware and even a garden center in Flagstaff offered no alternatives even when presented with digital photos of the fountain and the old "Mighty Midget Pump" made in Ontario, CA back in the ice age. The issue was I needed, or at least thought I needed, a pump with the intake 90 degrees to the current crop of water pumps because the pump had to fit in a very confined area within a four tier fountain. I had no success in goggling "Mighty Midget Pump" for the manufacturer (not oil pumps, please) so called several of the 800 numbers for fountains and water pumps. No one had heard of Mighty Midget but one was willing to sell me a pump and if it didn't work send it back for a refund minus a 25% restocking fee. As a last resort one person suggested looking for a fountain manufacturer. I noticed some markings for "Al''s Garden Art" so googled it. Not knowing much about fountains to my surprise Al's Garden Art existed with a web site. I added my zip and found 5 garden shops within 10 miles. I called The Green Goddess on Bell Rd and was told to bring the pump in and they would fix me up. I showed the "experts" at Green Goddess the pump and photos of the fountain and before I knew it had a new pump plus extra hoses of varying diameter to weave up to the top of fountain, an elbow and a restrictor to control the flow. The help including the manager Rigo were extremely helpful plus while they were setting me up I was entertained by the various "rescued" cockatoos and grey parrots around the shop. In asking about the birds the owner takes in and cares for exotic parrots given up by their caretakers. On the outside there were at least ten green, red and blue macaws in the garden area. I took some very good photos of very impressive birds that are great to look at but I wouldn't want to care for the 50 plus years they usually live. I also walked around the outdoor area and saw many types of small and large fountains plus outdoor sculptures including a very realistic Galapagos tortoise that does not need to be fed. I highly recommend The Green Goddess for its service and can see why they call themselves "The Ultimate Garden Experience". In the end I did not need the elbow but had all the parts necessary to avoid a repeat trip and waste more gas. I now have a working fountain that I moved to an interior patio and can finally listen to the soothing sound of a water fountain just outside my bedroom window. read more

Came here for the first time and left with a sick feeling. They have two cages with beautiful birds that are in just terrible condition. Most are missing their feathers, which is obviously a sign of poor health and stress. I also did not see any water available for them. The staff was very dismissive about the state of these birds. If you can't take care of these living creatures, I want nothing to do with your business. Reading the other reviews and seeing the pictures, I am shocked that this has been going on for years. It is not okay. (And yes, they look worse now.) I will never be coming back here for any kind of plants or services. If you live in the Phoenix neighborhood-- do NOT support this DIRTY business. read more

I love this nursery! It's like walking around a park... filled with beautiful trees, plants, and cactus. I have purchased many plants from here over the years and have never had a problem with the quality or service they've provided. One reviewer brought up the 'poor' condition of the birds, but if you read the signs, it says that these birds have been RESCUED from bad environments which is why they look bad, not because Green Goddess doesn't take care of them. People need to learn to read and not jump to conclusions. read more

We have long done business with Green Goddess. We special ordered plantar bases, waited 4 weeks for them to arrive. Drove 30 miles round trip and when we got their, they sold one. Javier the manager was unapologetic and told us they likely wouldn't match if he made another one and he would not deliver them if we reordered and waited for the bases again. If you're looking for a fountain this may be your place. There is a large inventory, most are hooked up and working and they are all priced on the fountain. This practice makes it easy to spend time shopping especially if you don't know exactly what you want and how much you will spend. If you are looking for bargain pots you may want to look elsewhere. We ended up shopping at a couple other pot places since their solid color inventory is plentiful but we were looking for multi color pots and they had a paucity of those. Folks at Green Goddess were friendly but maskless. I get the outdoor nature of their business but not a single individual, indoor or outdoor, wore masks. All of the patrons were adhering to their stated policy that masks are required. On another point, they are proud of their politics as demonstrated by the employee parking lot which is open to patrons. This gives some shoppers a "we don't care about your comfort level so we don't care about your business" attitude. This is contrary to normal business practices. Stopped by this place while running errands and it was truly what they call it.. green goddess! Clean, fresh, organized, and friendly employees! They offer EVERYTHING here! Every pot, tree, flower, tree, bbq, grill, water features, garden figures, you name it they have it! I walked in to buy a water pump for a fountain we have and ended up wondering around to enjoy the scenes. They have live parrots, birds, and roosters that talk to you which is super cute. Everything was very organized which I felt is important since nursery's can be very overwhelming. The staff was very friendly and helpful since I wasn't sure about what size pump I needed so I really appreciated that. My mom has been coming here for years so I know I'll definitely be going back for any outdoor or garden needs! read more

THE OWNERS OF THIS BUSINESS DO. IT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR MONEY!! I bought $2000.00 WIRTH OF INDOOR EXOTIC PLANTS AND TWO IF THEM WERE INFESTED WITH DISEASE. Yes you can wipe them down and clean them up but it does not solve the problem. After months and months of doing what these idiots told me to do to fix the problem and after they SOLD me chemicals to fight the problem I wanted to replace two of the four plants I bought. I would have even paid something but they said we have you a 20 percent discount when you bought them. Very sad story . They won't do anything for me a customer that doesn't 2000.00 on indoor plants!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Let them know that yelp is for comments both good and bad and THIS ONE IS A BAD ONE! Buyer beware ! I bought a 16 dollar Lantana Plant . And it died within 3 weeks of planting . Went back to see if it could be replaced and was told there is nothing they could do . I am sure that my tiny purchase didn't seem like much but it was going to be the start of my landscaping design for my small garden. Went to Home Depot and bought 3 one gallon pots of same plant they are flourishing, And I was assured if it died they would replace it . Sometimes going fancy isn't always better! read more
