Hidden in between the urban buildings is this five acre nursery jungle. We went on a Saturday around the closing time. There were not many people but the owner of the nursery welcomed us and took us on a tour around the nursery. U name it and he has those tropical plants. Ranging from banana, mango, mulberry, guava, sapote, Moringa, bay leaf, curry leaf, sugar cane so on. We wanted to buy banana but their stock this year is hit due to pandemic. They generally get their plants from Florida. The man has tons of exotic rescue birds too like parakeets, macaw, white peacock, swans, ducks, turtles. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a lush in the center of the city. Mind u it's not your regular nursery where everything is arranged well, cleaned and presented to perfection. This is rather rustic, old school and feels like Costa Rica. The man shared his history, family and was pretty jovial. We bought ourselves a grapes vine and got home thinking this is what a farm land would be where the kids would enjoy with the chicks, eat the fruit off the trees and live a content life away from the stress and noise of the city.

We stopped by to pick up a couple banana plants, this place is amazing!!! Too bad we had a dr appointment or I would have browsed the whole place!!! We met the owner, he is so funny and personable, we will definitely be back when we are back in town. We saw a bunch of rescue birds and dogs, just super good vibes all around. I didn't take many pics because I was too busy looking and taking it all in, but I did get a pic of a mama chicken and her new babies.

Spent a few hours here this morning with both owners. They were more than accommodating with information, tree options, suggestions, pricing, knowledge and experience. Anyone who posts one star has got to be from the competition down the street. These two are the real deal. The grow everything they sell on site and try it also from seed. They know what they are doing and they don't try BS gimmicks with soil up-sells. I went home with four trees. One I've never heard of and can't wait to watch them grow. I know these two will help me out if I start to see the trees stress in the coming months. THIS is the place to shop tropicals and strange varieties for Pho

I am now in AZ for the long haul and will be working on filling my life with new green babies. I looked for an independent nursery and boy oh boy did I find an amazing one! Pueblo is truly a hidden gem. A church for plant lovers where worship happens unabashedly! I think my psyche started healing upon crossing the threshold. The shop has several rooms where beauties hide and bloom. I was able to find my curly spider, which was my main goal. I also got a jade plant, which I've always wanted and never tried. My boyfriend found the coffee in the back and said it was delicious. I passed on the cacti because I don't like pokey things, but they had some lovely succulents that I will return to adopt. My boyfriend is sometimes in the area for work and I encouraged him to stop there to buy me plants anytime he is in the area versus flowers or candy. Yes, it's just that good! To say the neighborhood is sketchy is an understatement. Keep your wallet close and make sure you lock your doors. Don't let this warning discourage you. It is absolutely worth the trip. The quality you get is leaps and bounds above anything you'd get at a big box store.

They have a great selection of all kinds of trees as well as fruit trees. I wanted one lemon tree, one orange tree, one peach tree and one plum tree. I also spoke with Barb about the care of all the trees, she took the time to give me detailed care explanations on each tree. That really help and she really knows a lot about plants and trees. I shouldn't need to walk all the way back up front to ask -- and I've been giving the wrong information before anyhow. Its important to know what kind of plant you're buying for multiple reasons. The other Whitfill location (off Guadalupe and Cooper) doesn't have this issue. Overall I think the plants are pretty healthy but after having an issue with lack of labeling (on both the kind of plant and pricing), having been given the wrong plant info on a plant, and after having asked if they had Pink Fairy Duster and being sent off in a direction to wander and never find it on my own, I'm really over this location.

I told myself I wasn't going to get anything unless something truly called out to me... and, well, it happened. A Nanouk caught my eye (and heart), and now it's settling in at home with me. Their outdoor plant selection is broad and vibrant, though I'm not the best at keeping outdoor plants happy, so I admired from afar. Inside, the houseplant section had a good mix of some plants you see often, but also a few rare and interesting ones I don't usually come across, including some unique philodendrons and a couple pothos. The indoor area is on the smaller side, so when it gets a little crowded, it can feel a bit tight... that's probably my only minor critique. That said, the overall vibe was welcoming. I appreciated being greeted when I came in and then left alone to browse when I mentioned I didn't need help. That balance matters. The prices were fair as far as my knowledge in cruising through plant aisles and sections. Nothing unreasonable from my perspective. I'm glad I stopped in, and I'd definitely come back once I and my new Nanouk get to know each other a bit more. All in all, a peaceful and worthwhile plant stop.
