A while back, we replaced an old Palo Verde that came down, and LP was such an important part of getting it done. I truly cannot thank him enough for his years of support, and I was so sad to see him leave his local role with the nursery. Honestly I haven't found a "new LP" since he left. His dedication, customer service, and willingness to go above and beyond set the bar incredibly high. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill. So, consider this my official posting: I'm taking applications for a "new LP". When we replaced our old Palo Verde, we went with a Desert Willow - which has been extremely happy in its new home. We ended up getting the warranty on this new tree and recently they changed their plans. I still don't know all the ins and outs of it, but I do know they make several visits to ensure your tree is set up for success. The staff are great and can do the work even if you're not home. They'll leave you a "report card" so you know how your tree is doing. Overall the warranty was good, but I'd definitely favor it for plants that have a harder time adapting to the desert. Oh how useful this plan would have been for some of my problematic trees in the past. I do think they should have a "lite" warranty for desert plants as I feel most of them tend to be pretty fool proof on their own and don't necessary NEED check ups. I stop by often to check out what's new in the nursery and love when they run promotions for free fertilizer products with a $49 purchase. read more

He walked us around and explained each plant he recommended and how it would look as it matures. Steve also explained that Moon Valley will come and assess our yard and offer suggestions and ideas on what would do best in our yard. We'll tackle that when it cools down a bit! 5 stars all the way for Moon Valley. Patrick McCoy helped me with 16 ficus trees at my house in Scottsdale and was great throughout the entire process. I'll be honest, I'm pretty particular and hard to please, but he was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was done right. A few trees didn't make it and they replaced them without any hassle under the warranty, which says a lot about how they stand behind their work. Kyle was also super helpful along the way. He communicated with me during every step of the process, including verifying tree placement location and "uprightness". Amazing volume of flowers trees and bedding plants. The sheer amount can be overwhelming! Rows and rows of trees and shrubs. I like to browse the bedding plants, vegetables and flowers. I'm always on the lookout for some flower or vegetable that I haven't grown or seen before. Staff are somewhat helpful, if you have a very specific question about a plant that isn't that common you may not get an adequate answer. If you like to grow what you typically see planted around the valley, then Moon Valley is for you. But if you are like me and are looking for a shrub flower or tree in a rare variety or colour you may struggle to find them at Moon Valley. At the very beginning of the springlike temps, the bedding plants looked great and were all neatly displayed, but I went last week to look again and the bedding plants are a tad bit haphazard. Some flowers and vegetable plants were seated in their trays well or were dried out. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! I would give 10+ stars. We met with Andy Klein and couldn't be happier with his expertise, professionalism and non-pressure advice. He helped us pick out an amazing Ficus tree and also gave me additional advice on pruning my other trees and roses while we were there. The guys who came to remove the stump from our old tree in our backyard were great and Brandon Vasquez Jimenez went above and beyond explaining every step he and his crew went through when planting our Ficus. He took time to answer all of my questions and explained after care slowly so I could write down the details. Additionally, Andy gave me his cell phone so I could ask any additional questions anytime. I purchased a few plants including an Aloe tree. I will only review the Experience of the arrival and attempt of this tree. when the tree was unboxed and ready to plant the Forman of the team told me in true concern that the tree was rotten at the roots and could not be planted. He would report it and moon would find me another. I had to chase down the manager hoping for a solution. I was passed around until I insisted on a refund. This was a very expensive tree and I should have not had to chase moon for an answer. I received a survey from moon to share my experience. I gave them the lowest score possible and was told I would get a free gallon of moon Juice liquid fertilize. Apparently they did not like my survey answers because I never got the fertilize. salesman was very helpful on the sale of the trees but he never got back to me and the rest of management couldn't care less. read more

Pretty big job, with 5,trees and 2 potted cacti. Leon was knowledgeable, personable, and courteous.
