He communicated with me during every step of the process, including verifying tree placement location and "uprightness". The team's attention to detail in protecting my relatively new hardscaping, surrounding ground plants and outdoor furniture was wonderful to observe, without me even needing to say anything. Once the tree was planted, top finished and deeply watered, Brandon reviewed all the post-planting details again with me. We didn't get to pick out the tree but the sales person assured us they would find us the best tree the biggest tree and we'd love it. Well, we got a very small tree and it has been in the box so long that it became root bound and it's struggling to survive and has not grown. I've been really fortunate to work with some of the very best people at Moon Valley Nurseries over the years and this spring has been no exception. During spring time Moon Valley Nurseries is a bit of a second home. I love checking out what they bring in for the year, as well as stocking up on any necessary supplies to get my garden ready for the scorching summer. On a recent visit to the nursery, William helped me stock up on my mulch and fertilizer. Service was excellent and he brought everything to the car. This week I had a delivery of a few plants that I had the nursery staff pick out for me, organized by LP and Quent. The plants were above and beyond my expectations in every way. I received a desert gold peach and it looks so healthy - I can't wait until it starts fruiting. The Santa Rosa Plum looks great, but as expected a little dormant at this time of a year. The chuparosa, a desert must for attracting hummingbirds was a perfect low water choice in our climate. Last but not least.. and my most favorite of all - the tangelo. Gorgeous tree, absolutely cannot wait to see this one take off. Tim and crew came to plant within the allowed window, and again service was beyond my expectations. Tim was so professional and made sure everything was done right, my trees were staked, the crew watered and cleaned up after. I've worked with Tim before and he and his crew delivers consistent high quality service and planting. I think the only thing that could make my Moon Valley Nurseries visit better is to do some sales on fertilizers/moon juice from time to time. I know they used to do buy 2 get one free and buy 3 get one free, but I haven't seen one in ages. These sales are always greatly appreciated by my plants! read more

Needed some plants for our planter boxes in the front of our new home. I knew this was a challenge based on the summer heat but Steve was very helpful and informative. He walked us around and explained each plant he recommended and how it would look as it matures. Steve also explained that Moon Valley will come and assess our yard and offer suggestions and ideas on what would do best in our yard. We'll tackle that when it cools down a bit! 5 stars all the way for Moon Valley. Patrick McCoy helped me with 16 ficus trees at my house in Scottsdale and was great throughout the entire process. I'll be honest, I'm pretty particular and hard to please, but he was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was done right. A few trees didn't make it and they replaced them without any hassle under the warranty, which says a lot about how they stand behind their work. Kyle was also super helpful along the way. Amazing volume of flowers trees and bedding plants. The sheer amount can be overwhelming! Rows and rows of trees and shrubs. I like to browse the bedding plants, vegetables and flowers. I'm always on the lookout for some flower or vegetable that I haven't grown or seen before. Staff are somewhat helpful, if you have a very specific question about a plant that isn't that common you may not get an adequate answer. If you like to grow what you typically see planted around the valley, then Moon Valley is for you. But if you are like me and are looking for a shrub flower or tree in a rare variety or colour you may struggle to find them at Moon Valley. At the very beginning of the springlike temps, the bedding plants looked great and were all neatly displayed, but I went last week to look again and the bedding plants are a tad bit haphazard. Some flowers and vegetable plants were seated in their trays well or were dried out. read more

I purchased a few plants including an Aloe tree. I will only review the Experience of the arrival and attempt of this tree. when the tree was unboxed and ready to plant the Forman of the team told me in true concern that the tree was rotten at the roots and could not be planted. He would report it and moon would find me another. I had to chase down the manager hoping for a solution. I was passed around until I insisted on a refund. This was a very expensive tree and I should have not had to chase moon for an answer. I received a survey from moon to share my experience. I gave them the lowest score possible and was told I would get a free gallon of moon Juice liquid fertilize. Apparently they did not like my survey answers because I never got the fertilize. salesman was very helpful on the sale of the trees but he never got back to me and the rest of management couldn't care less. read more

We purchased a Bonita Ash last March at the Tatum location. I made several trips during the summer and into this year because the tree was struggling even with care guidelines given by their staff. From the looks of their signs it seems like they will plant any of the items you purchase -- this is great for older folks who might need the assistance digging with large shovels and things. I was here with a friend looking to plant some flowers but quickly realized you can't grow most of the nice fragrant flowers in full sun in this area - darn!
