I had 3 trees trimmed and 1 removed. Sam and his crew were punctual and got right to work. Each person knew what to do and they functioned like a well oiled machine. When each tree was finished, Sam would go over each one with me and make any adjustments until I was 100% satisfied. The end result was that the entire process from start to finish was a great experience and I highly recommend Sam the Tree Guy. read more

We had a large bunch of dead brush-tree that was a fire hazard and they were doing some work for our neighbor and we asked if they could take care of it and what it would cost - since they were there and had the chipper and everything. They did a GREAT job and we have some of our old mountain view back!! Thank you Sam and your wonderful team! read more

Sam and his team did a great job trimming 5 trees for us, great price, awesome crew and a very nice clean up! I would highly recommend Sam the tree guy! read more

A neighbor used them to remove some limbs of a very large tree that partially overhung our back yard. Sam the Tree guy crew entered our yard without permission or notifying us. We did find video of them ringing our door bell but we were not home. While in our back yard they pulled some decorative spinners out of the ground I can only assume to avoid damaging them from falling limbs/branches. When done they put the spinners in completely different locations leaning at strange angles and not anchored. My wife noticed immediately when she returned and took the attached picture of their trailer but did not confront them. After I returned, I contacted them multiple ways, asking them to reinstall them properly but was ignored. read more

I've been using Sam as my tree guys for several years now. Always great work, reasonable prices, and very responsive and quick. Sam also has a good eye for aesthetics so the end result is an eye catcher, not an eye sore. Definitely recommend! read more

I saw good comments on Nextdoor and I also checked on yelp before calling Sam the Tree Guy. Sam answered his phone right the way on labor day afternoon. Called yesterday afternoon to cut down few fruit trees, Sam picked up his phone and was able to come by the same day for an estimate. Sam plus 3 crew members came this morning as scheduled. They did a great job cutting down my fruit trees and trim a very large tree. It took approximately 4 hours for the job. They left my front yard and backyard nice and clean. Sam and his team are efficient, fast and clean up well. They trimmed ten trees at my daughters house and removed two. It looks like a brand new yard AND the eucalyptus tree branches are no longer a danger. Even the stump grinding and clean up was outstanding! read more

We reached out to Sam the Tree Guy to quote taking down our large Palo Verde tree from our front yard. I have hated that thing since we moved in from the soft branches that snap with just a mild breeze to those annoying yellow flowers that stick to everything! Sam was easily reachable, super responsive via text, came out same day, was very reasonable (don't forget, you get what you pay for!), and efficient. He took down the tree and ground out the stump, which is needed for replacing. His cleanup was superb! I can't recommend Sam the Tree Guy enough! You won't be disappointed. read more

Sam the Tree Guy was highly recommended to me by a neighbor who's used him many times for tree trimming. I needed to have a huge amount of tree trimmings removed. Within 2 days of contacting him, he was out with his equipment and got the job done. Not only was he reasonable, but he was a pleasure to work with and left our property spotless. A year ago, I had tree trimming with another company. It was expensive and the job was so so. Sam did a great job and the price was reasonable. I will definitely use him next time I need trimming. read more

Sam just finished cutting down a HUUUGE Eucalyptus tree that was almost completely dead on my property. His price was fair and although it took him another few hours due to the wood being more voluminous and cleanup more detailed, he kept to his price and did an amazing job! I want to echo and add to what others have previously said about Sam the Tree Guy. This guy is a total professional. Unlike others, he takes his job seriously and treats his customers with utmost respect. Specifically, he answers his phone immediately and returns all calls. If he makes a commitment to perform a job you can count on excellent service throughout the process. When completed the yard was clean and free of all residual and debris. He provided me and my wife with sound advice regarding how to proceed with our tree trimming/removal decision. As you can see by the pictures of our yard, our tree had grown to an unmanageable condition. While we had initially planned on trimming the tree, we concluded that the cost would be repeated as well as continue to increase annually. We were able to save money over time while making the best use of our property. We enthusiastically and wholeheartedly endorse Sam the Tree Guy for your trimming and tree removal needs. read more

We have a large lot with many trees. We received several quotes and Sam's was very competitive. He was very fair and the service was great. He and his crew were great to work with during the job. His communication was very good. They completed the work on time and exactly as we agreed. Our trees look great and they left our place very clean. We hired him based on the reviews and they were spot on! Highly recommend! read more

I would NOT recommend Sam The Tree Guy! He made a great effort to win the bid for my boyfriends job. They agreed to a price and what would be done. He said he would have everything down and cleaned up by the end of that day and they would do a walk through and it would look like they had not even been there. Four days later, not complete or picked up and the yard is a mess, cut up trees and debris everywhere! We even had to pick up the crews empty water bottles as they had thrown them in the pile of branches on the sidewalk and street. The crew left early one day and didn't show up another day. While leaving the sidewalk impassable and a huge pile of branches in the street! Sam complained about underbidding the job the entire time. My BF actually helped out when his workers left. Sam then finished off, four days later by pulling up to pick up his equipment, stated he was not finishing the job because he had under bid it then dumped a trash can of cactus and debris on the one wood pile I had stacked and organized. Very disappointed in the outcome and the mean spirited attitude. Sad reflection on other vendors. read more
