We have used Roys trees twice now. The first time was in Feb of 2025 to remove a HUGE acacia (over 30 feet tall) that would "creak" when the wind would blow and and an small sumac. In addition they trimmed an ash and removed a big bush. The most recent time they came (today) they removed a fallen ash due to a dust storm (8/25). On both occasions they arrived on time, did a FANTASTIC job and when they left it looked like no trees had ever been there. His prices are VERY reasonable. The first time I hired him, I received multiple quotes. This time no additional quotes were necessary since they did such a fantastic job the first time I hired them. I can only echo the other 5 star reviews. I had a very large dying pine tree (maybe 60 feet tall). Lots of that going on in Phoenix. Couldn't be saved. I called a few tree companies. Had to leave messages for some and never got called. Another wanted a photo and emailed me an outrageous quote. I called Roy late afternoon last week. He answered the phone, was in the area, and came over about a half hour later. Gave me a competitive price for removal and stump grinding. We set up the removal for today (12/12/2024). Roy and his two-man crew arrived promptly at 7:30 AM. His crew was finished by 11:45 AM including removal, stump grinding, and clean up with all the gravel back in place. The monsoon took out our beloved Palo Verde tree last night, so at 6AM this morning, I was tasked with finding a tree removal company to get it off of our lawn as soon as possible. I sent a request out to several companies via Yelp! and was immediately contacted by Roy's Trees with a price. I received about 3 generic/bot responses and also 2 or 3 actual responses from companies that said it would take a few days (to a week) to have someone "come out to give me an estimate". I'm not going to have a 15' tree in my front lawn for 2 weeks, so waiting around for an estimate wasn't an option. Roy's Trees pricing came in half of what the other companies wanted to do it for. HALF THE PRICE. He also said he could come in a few hours. When I mentioned that my daughter went down for her nap in about 4 hours, he asked if it was still raining where I was located. It was, but it was just sprinkling at that time and I let him know. He said he could come out in about 40 minutes to better accommodate my daughter's nap schedule. He arrived with another crew member and went straight to work. Of course, it started raining heavily at that point but they did not let that stop them for a minute. The got all of the branches cut down in about 15 minutes and it took about another 20 - 25 minutes for them to get the stump pulled out. After the tree was completely removed, they filled the hole back up and broom swept the entire sidewalk in front of my house and the street where there was debris from the tree. In the POURING RAIN. I couldn't believe it. These guys earned their fee and definitely my future business and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service/tree removal. read more

They took down another old tree and ground the stump down plenty deep so that I can plant something else there.
