Crew arrived as promised...Yes more expensive than the local guy with a chain saw, but it costs money to move equipment give them a chance to quote. So naturally I was concerned going in to the season and Frank said not to worry, he told me that the trimmers will thin it out tastefully yet enough. Terry did not check in with me shortly thereafter to see the condition of my trees. No info. Was given regarding what to expect over a period of time, and a website was verbally shared regarding watering/feeding info. But was very vague. Seemed like terry is burnt out on his craft and wanted to move on after pruning tree with no after care assistance provided to me. I asked questions and was told, "you need to get a hobby." Very disappointed $650 later. To current, 2/13/20, leaves are dropping off my lemon tree, and it appears there is a potential fungus or disease with the tree. Had another professional tree service co. Assess. Initially I mentioned, to terry, that the lemon tree could have a potential issue due to some bark on the tree falling off. Nothing was mentioned regarding a potential fungus or a disease. I do not recommend terry's tree service. Not customer service friendly and rude as well. Very condescending.

He took a part from my house that I had bought through another landscaping company. I paid $150 for the part. Dave emailed me an extremely high quote. He was planning on exchanging the part because it was the wrong size. I explained that I didn't want to have the work done and simply wanted to pick up my plumbing part. He insisted that he would just drop it off. I have called and text him numerous times. He continues to tell me that he'll return it but never does. I have told him that I'm happy to pick it up. This has been going on for several months. All I want is my plumbing part back. Should be a very simple thing. So consequently I would be careful hiring someone who cannot follow through with something as simple as giving me back my own part that I paid for. The last attempt he said he was on his way to drop it off. I said I would meet him somewhere if he was going out of his way. He never responded and never returned the part.

This is an unprofessional and dishonest business because:…read more - Sprayed weed killer when I specifically asked him not to - Did not complete the job with weed roots and debris still in my yard and when asked about it, he said that the chemicals would clear it in a couple of days and to call him if they were still there in 2 days - 2 days later when I texted him with pictures and he didn't respond - I'm glad I only paid him $125 of his $175 fee - Did not come on the first agreed upon date and had to reschedule Contacted Jorge on 2/24 to clear out weeds in my backyard that had overgrown and we agreed to Tuesday 3/3 afternoon for him to come. On 3/3, I reached out to him and he said he forgot to schedule me and had to reschedule me for 3/5. He quoted me $175 for: Weed removal Spray weed killer Blow out the debris Haul away everything I thought it was a lot but agreed to the price and told him that I didn't want chemicals sprayed. After he said he was done, I inspected and found weed roots still in the ground and debris everywhere. I asked him about it and he said the chemicals (that he wasn't supposed to spray) would kill everything and remove the debris. I was skeptical that the chemicals would magically clear away all the debris. He said to call him in 2 days if it didn't. I still had my doubts and asked for a $50 holdback in case the debris didn't go away. He countered with $25 and I knew then that if I called him, he simply wouldn't return my call. I stuck to the $50 and he agreed. 2 days later, the debris had not magically disappeared and I texted him with pictures to come back and finish the job, but he didn't respond as expected. Now, I have to clear the remaining weed roots and debris myself.

I was so pleased with Roy's Trees that I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Their price was VERY competitive (I checked five other good companies), they accommodated the urgency of getting a tree removed so we could get to our backed up sewer lines since we had a family member's surgery to work around, and they did a fantastic job. They also came back another day to finish the job so another contractor could get started. They removed a very large tree, ground down the roots and stump and removed three oleander bushes, as well as hauling it all away. The crew was hard working and efficient. After calling a number of tree specialists in the Phx area, Roy responded quickly arriving on site the same day and was readily available by phone to discuss the project. This was a project to be coordinated with an SRP power disconnect while Roy's men cleared branches from power lines on the property. Everything went as planned and my 85 year old mother was safe and cool in the house, while the power was off for only a very short duration in the morning. The work done in late July with temperatures approaching 118 degrees, presented some challenges. This man and his team are top notch. I highly recommend him and give them an A+. read more

Roy and his crew are the best. They are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. His crew showed up on time, and his sawyer is excellent. and dropped everything right where he wanted it. That is great skill. They cleaned everything up and took down a multi stem carob tree with a 3 foot diameter stump, signed sealed and delivered in 7 hours. I had two trees fall after the last storm. I had 4 estimates and went with Roy and I'm super glad I did. His pricing was more then fair, he arrived on the day and time he said he would and he left my yards in better shape then when he arrived to remove the two trees. He even filled the hole left by the little blown over tree and raked the rock over. I would highly recommend Roy's Trees for emergency work and maintenance of your trees! read more

After being left high and dry three times and then ghosted by Tree Daddy in Arizona, I found Roy's Trees. They responded immediately, showed up and ground out 4 tree stumps and cleaned up for the same price Tree Daddy quoted. Tony new what he was doing, saved my drip line right next to the biggest stump and gave me advice on when I might be able to replant. I had Roys Trees remove 2 large mesquite trees and trim up 5 other trees. I was in no hurry so we worked around their schedule and got it all done in 4 days. Looks great and a great price. I needed two Mexican Fan Palm trees trimmed in my back yard, Found Roy's online, quick response, kept line of communication, fast acting and came the very next day. Best cost out of all other places I checked with. They spent time to pick up all of the debris and fish out some of it that fell into the pool. They care for my mature grapefruit and full-grown pine tree, with fungicide, and both receive yearly deep root vitamins. They always show up on time and give me a courtesy call before arriving. They've earned my trust, so now they come and provide my tree services, and I don't feel the need to be home when they come. To me, this says everything about their professionalism and integrity. I also now prepay for services without hesitation because they've earned that level of trust. What truly sets them apart is their proactive approach to tree health. They have me scheduled to be called early each Spring to set up services through October, and I pay monthly for what was done that month. Their monthly sunscreen applications for my mature grapefruit tree have quite literally saved its life, especially the summer of 2023, when temperatures reached 120 degrees, hot enough that I heard from others how they lost some of their trees and bushes that year. Mine remained healthy and continues to thrive under their care. I have to speak up and say that if there is a poor review on here, remember: there are always two sides to every story. There's something more to the story the poster is not saying because this company works and communicates with you exceptionally well. Their communication goes over and above any other company I've dealt with. I just wish the healthcare system treated ME as well as this company treats my trees. I did the math, and it is significantly cheaper to pay for a service to keep your trees alive than the cost of having a company come in and chop them down. That can be up to thousands of dollars for mature trees, plus you have a barren spot and no shade there afterwards. In this Phoenix climate, sun protection is prudent for both man and animals and may no longer be optional. Now it's becoming essential for plants and trees, and Valley Tree Care is clearly ahead of the curve in offering sun spray services. If you want dependable service and long-term value, they are an excellent choice.
