I have been using Valley Tree Care for nearly four years, and they have proven to be reliable, knowledgeable, and consistently high-quality. They care for my mature grapefruit and full-grown pine tree, with fungicide, and both receive yearly deep root vitamins. They always show up on time and give me a courtesy call before arriving. They've earned my trust, so now they come and provide my tree services, and I don't feel the need to be home when they come. To me, this says everything about their professionalism and integrity. I also now prepay for services without hesitation because they've earned that level of trust. What truly sets them apart is their proactive approach to tree health. They have me scheduled to be called early each Spring to set up services through October, and I pay monthly for what was done that month. Their monthly sunscreen applications for my mature grapefruit tree have quite literally saved its life, especially the summer of 2023, when temperatures reached 120 degrees, hot enough that I heard from others how they lost some of their trees and bushes that year. Mine remained healthy and continues to thrive under their care. I have to speak up and say that if there is a poor review on here, remember: there are always two sides to every story. There's something more to the story the poster is not saying because this company works and communicates with you exceptionally well. Their communication goes over and above any other company I've dealt with. I just wish the healthcare system treated ME as well as this company treats my trees. I did the math, and it is significantly cheaper to pay for a service to keep your trees alive than the cost of having a company come in and chop them down. That can be up to thousands of dollars for mature trees, plus you have a barren spot and no shade there afterwards. In this Phoenix climate, sun protection is prudent for both man and animals and may no longer be optional. Now it's becoming essential for plants and trees, and Valley Tree Care is clearly ahead of the curve in offering sun spray services. I'm posting this for my mother who had Valley Tree Care come out and attempt to trim her Texas Ebony. The attached pics show the epic failure of their attempt. The workers who did the work were very pleasant but were definitely out of their comfort zone. My mother spoke with one of their arborists as was able to set a time to meet at her residence, which never happened. Instead she spoke with him on the phone. He told her he would speak with his supervisor to see what they could do to make it right. That's been over a week with no call backs. She called and left a message on the arborists phone and still no response. It's unfortunate how this played out and my mother is now left with an eyesore of a tree. UPDATE! After my review posted I received a response asking for my mom's address or name. They made a comment about making it right. This is far from the truth. Since the post my mom has attempted to get any type of response and/or accountability for their obvious hideous tree trimming. They have told her several times someone would call her and it just never happens. As early as today they told her they would have "scheduling" call her and of course she never received a call. The overall lack of professionalism is just astounding. I have posted several more photos of this disaster so all can see the expertise in their attention to detail. They also left a dead branch near the top of the tree, which you can see in the photos. My mom has called them several times to come and remove said branch and again no response. Good luck to those who decide to roll the dice with Valley Tree Care. And yes, as of this posting STILL zero resolution for destroying my mother's mature tree. read more

We had several tree stumps removed last year because someone else removed the trees and parts of the tree kept growing back up. Valley tree care told us that by grinding the stump and digging the roots out completely we would no longer have that issue. Well, we still have that issue and had them come back out today only to be told there was nothing they could do. It seems like the least they could do was dig out what was there. These people came out and messed with the dial on our irrigation system killed five of our trees and then lied through their teeth, saying that I had changed the settings on there when the zone was down to zero hours. They had promised us that if any of our plants died because of their faulty irrigation system that they would replace them and I've got pictures of all of our dead trees. It's a rainy day, our golden retriever and mini weenies had to be locked in. I told the owner where our key was so I wouldn't have to go outside with the dogs to point out trees. He looked confused standing outside, said he didn't know what trees. I cracked the door and our golden shot out. I apologized and pulled her in. He was panicked and ran away say he couldn't do the quote. That's fine, you are afraid of dogs. No worries. However, instead of placing my door key in a safe place, it was three at the house so I had to find it. Mind you, there are no dogs at the front of the house. He could have handed it to me at the front door. I see other reviews with high quotes, we didn't get that far. He was our third quote for this job, with 2 other tree company having no issues and able to hand the key back. Definitely careless. Update, after leaving the review I had a voicemail that my 5 dogs attacked him and bit him, causing him to see the doctor immediately. Yes, my 4, not 5 as one died last year, are registered with the county and fully vaccinated. They are bathed each month as well, requiring all vaccines. He forgets about video. We have cameras around our home. The dogs did not bite him. They barked at him. Screen shot of legs and feet. No blood, dirt, bites. Definitely stay away from this one. read more

I took a day off work to meet their arborist and they didn't even have me on the schedule. Then they tried to reschedule for another day I'd have to miss work for, so I lost that time for nothing. I could've hired someone else. They also keep you on hold forever or play phone tag with call-backs you can't answer. They don't keep their word. Ben came out to look at my tree and was able to explain to me why the whole tree needed to be cut down instead of part of it (which other removers told me it was fine to leave half the tree). If I could rate lower I would. Start with the positive Todd W is a good guy but that is where it ends. I hired them to help with 2 very large Ficus Trees they were treating the trees and ground for me. I was given a time frame of 1-4 pm. So I head home about 12 I get a VM at 12:05 from Anthony say he will be there in 5 ish minutes. My issue my trees are in my backyard and I called the number back Irias answered and I told her I was about 35 min away and I said tell your guy to start but to wait and I had a few questions. I get home about 12:45 Anthony had left so this $800 dollar job was completed in and quoting Todd 10 min. $800 for 10 min of work that I can't even see if it was a done. So they send me the 2 pictures saying this shows the work was done. I call Todd and yes at this point I'm a bit hot over this. Todd offers free treatment in the fall seriously why would I ever let this company back on my property and Todd ended the call which I understand because we were getting nowhere. read more

I feel ripped off. Now, don't get me wrong -- the team at Valley Tree Care is knowledgeable, kind, and easy to work with. But kindness does not justify predatory pricing. They quoted and tried to charge me $700 to fertilize my trees -- a job that ended up taking 12 minutes (verified on my Ring cameras). At that price, it's reasonable to expect specialized equipment, a detailed soil analysis, or a proprietary treatment process. Instead, what I received was two off-the-shelf ingredients (a pH reducer and mycorrhizae) mixed in a bucket of water, then dumped on my trees. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you don't care about your money - don't fall for their charm! read more

But the team was awesome and had no trouble at all getting the tree down with no problem at all. And it look less than 30 minutes...tree cut down, used the chipper and completely cleaned the area. I hired Valley Tree Care for some services and one of them included the removal of shrubs that I had. During the discussion I was told "the team would remove roots to prevent them from growing back" as "these kinds of shrubs will come back if you don't remove all the roots". I thought great! Unfortunately, the team came by and did remove the shrubs however they didn't remove any of the underlining roots. When I asked the guys on site about it I was told "we aren't really equipped to do this" which is interesting, because they were so quick to sell me on that! I called Valley Tree Care who told me "just spray the roots" which will likely take care of it. Ironic as I paid them to remove the roots and make sure it wouldn't be an issue moving forward. Fast forward a few weeks and now I am having roots and sprouts pop back through where they removed the shrubs. read more

After my Yelp review reflecting on my Nov 22 experience, they called and offered to have Ben the field manager came by within the next couple of days. We hired Valley Tree Care to trim multiple overgrown, top heavy large trees. They carefully and efficiently trimmed dead limbs, ensured wind could flow easily through the branches, and made them very attractive. Frankly, our home couldn't be seen from the street for a while! They were efficient, branches brought to the chipper and disposed of quickly, cleaned up stray small branches and leaves, and blew out the areas where they worked. Good tree trimming isn't inexpensive, but for this quality, they were worth every cent. We strongly recommend Valley Tree Care for professional tree care. read more

I called Valley Tree Care as they advertise they give 100% free estimates and inspections for irrigation repairs. I explained my needs and that it is a small job and the three things I needed done adding more lines to my drip system and flow restricters placed on a few of my drips that were as water was pooling around some plants and it was causing mosquito's. This is happening when the system is off. I also have a leaky spigot. I was told no problem and I was scheduled the job for Friday June 26 at 3:00. I received a call on the 25th reminding me of my appoint and that someone would call and let me know they were on their way. On Friday, I received a call around 12:45 letting me know I had to be home in a three hour window. News to me because I was told 3:00. I receive a call from a gentleman, a short time later, that said he was with Valley Tree Care. He stated he thinks they made a scheduling error. He is an aborist and he sees I need a quote for an irrigation issue. I said yes, He said he would call dispatch and get back to me. He called back and said they were sending him out to look at my irrigation but if I wanted to pay a fee of I think around $75, I could get the expert for irrigation and he would spend 2 to 3 hours figuring out my system needs otherwise he was free. They would apply the fee to repairs should I go with them. I said, no! I have have been lied to as I was told it was a free quote and I don't want them sending out someone that knows nothing about drip systems. I said cancel the call. My yard is small. There is no way a guy would need 2 to 3 hours to assess my drip sytem. I then received a call later from a lady at Valley Tree Center who was calling to remind me of my appointment on Monday. I couldn't believe it! I explained that no appoint was schedule for Monday, about the call from the arborist and them not living up to their promise of a free quote. She asked if she could put me on hold to see if there is something they could do for me. I let her know I would not being doing any business with them and that I would be Yelping them. So please be aware this is not an honest company and do not take your irrigation needs to them. Who knows what a mess this would have turned into. read more
