I had Valley Tree Care come over to remove an Autralian Bottle tree in my backyard. It was leaning and moved when pushed and saving it was very expensive and there were no guarantees that it would work. Valley Tree Care came out and cut it down and ground the stump and it almost looks like there was never a tree there. I called Valley Tree Care as they advertise they give 100% free estimates and inspections for irrigation repairs. I explained my needs and that it is a small job and the three things I needed done adding more lines to my drip system and flow restricters placed on a few of my drips that were as water was pooling around some plants and it was causing mosquito's. This is happening when the system is off. I also have a leaky spigot. I was told no problem and I was scheduled the job for Friday June 26 at 3:00. I received a call on the 25th reminding me of my appoint and that someone would call and let me know they were on their way. On Friday, I received a call around 12:45 letting me know I had to be home in a three hour window. News to me because I was told 3:00. I receive a call from a gentleman, a short time later, that said he was with Valley Tree Care. He stated he thinks they made a scheduling error. He is an aborist and he sees I need a quote for an irrigation issue. I said yes, He said he would call dispatch and get back to me. He called back and said they were sending him out to look at my irrigation but if I wanted to pay a fee of I think around $75, I could get the expert for irrigation and he would spend 2 to 3 hours figuring out my system needs otherwise he was free. They would apply the fee to repairs should I go with them. I said, no! I have have been lied to as I was told it was a free quote and I don't want them sending out someone that knows nothing about drip systems. I said cancel the call. My yard is small. There is no way a guy would need 2 to 3 hours to assess my drip sytem. I then received a call later from a lady at Valley Tree Center who was calling to remind me of my appointment on Monday. I couldn't believe it! I explained that no appoint was schedule for Monday, about the call from the arborist and them not living up to their promise of a free quote. She asked if she could put me on hold to see if there is something they could do for me. I let her know I would not being doing any business with them and that I would be Yelping them. So please be aware this is not an honest company and do not take your irrigation needs to them. Who knows what a mess this would have turned into. read more

spent $450 to bring back a mature declining tree. expected treatment of the soil and for fungus they claimed was there. a nice young man showed up and spent 20 minutes pouring something on top of the gravel and sprayed the trunk. then they wanted $1400 to put in extra water and a new controller. no way. my regular irrigation guy did it for $90 and said my controller was fine after resetting what the tree care guy had punched in without asking me. Bait and switch. Said there would be an arborist on site during the job, there wasn't. Charged me 1500$ to trim a pall verde tree, then after their 3 month "check in" said oh actually this tree has to be removed for thousands of dollars. They also have very limited experience in how to trim a tree, they left countless crossing branches, suckers, and water spouts which any arborist could tell you is incorrect. Told them about these things and was met with we can do these things for even more money. Before using them, demand an actual arborist is on site during the trimming, otherwise just use any landscaper that will do it for FAR cheaper. Also make absolutely sure the trees they are trimming aren't diseased and you get told later they need to be removed. Look up water spouts, crossing branches, and suckers so you can educate yourself and check their work. read more

Total Rip Off, Aggressive sales tactics, they charged $625 to trim 5 dead Queen Palm branches, when they indicated the Crown growth was to be removed. After coming out and charging $625, the trimmers said the Crowns did not need any removal. They also quoted and charged $100 for " irrigation system seasonal adjustment " - after charging the fee, they did not adjust our watering system and instead provided a proposal for $15k to replace our system. When trying to communicate with these folks, they talk in circles, and the original estimator that ripped us off wont show up at our home. They aggressively marketed us unsolicited, then overcharged for doing little work and will not remedy . read more

I had Valley tree care come out on September 25th and fertilize my palm trees. I paid over $1,200 for 6 palm trees. Today is Feb 1st and the palm trees look worse than when it all started. They came out again after my disappointment email, palm trees still look bad and actually way worse which proves service does not work. I would not recommend them. I am now buying stuff from Amazon to fertilize these myself which is going to cost me one fraction of the price and I would have saved over $1,000 dollars. Stay away read more
