Why did the rose stop in the middle of the road? Because it lost its petals! A&P to the rescue again! I've been coming here for years and, this time, needed some praying mantis to help with an aphid infestation all over my roses. Immediately got helped by a few guys at the counter and the younger man was very helpful is sharing some tips with when the praying mantis would best hatch. Very helpful! A massive shout-out to Jason at the Queen Creek location of A & P Nursery for his help purchasing a Hong Kong Orchid tree. Jason's extensive knowledge of plants, soil, fertilizers, and planting instructions is impressive! The tree we bought was 75%, yes, 75% cheaper than two other larger nurseries we visited! His tree had many more green leaves and looked much healthier than the other locations. We planted the tree one week ago, and it is doing well! A & P was the nursery we chose for all of the plants we put into the yard of our new home. We had our landscapers perform the planting. Everything has thrived. Not one plant lost. Who delivers $500 trees with no staking, no mulch for back fill, no nutrient and have an installer who has none of these things available but says you can buy them and he will put them in?? Send your people prepared to to the job!! They didn't even double the drip system and get it setup. They nickel and dime for everything! Not pleased at all. Not considering we paid over $125 per tree for install and it didn't even include staking or setting up the drip correctly! read more

I purchased two very large trellises for my cucumbers and get out to my car and they don't fit ARGH!! What to do? Zack was kind enough to deliver them to my house after his shift. Talk about Top notch customer Service - Many Thanks Zack. Now Jason I purchased a lemon tree from A & P and paid for the planting service. When Jason and his crew came to plant the tree, I asked Jason if he knew anyone that could dig a root ball out because the company that "cut down the tree" did not get the root ball. Just cut down the tree. Jason went right to work and got the root ball out for me. Again, talk about amazing customer service. Thank you Jason. I am not a shopper by any means, do not like grocery shopping, clothes shopping, etc. BUT.... get me in A & P nursery and I am in heaven!! I'm truly surprised to see some of the previous reviews. This has been our go-to nursery for approximately 6 years. We are loyal for two reasons: consistently fantastic customer service and great stock. The employees here are knowledgeable and friendly. They kindly dole out advice and information when I'm questioning something.Additionally, they always load everything in my car without being asked. The stock here is excellent. In 6 years of countless plantings I've only lost one item. We will continue to patronize A&P Nursery and highly recommend it to anyone. read more

The sales staff are very helpful, helped me pick out trees and plants and the price seems to be better than Moon Valley from what I can tell. My landscape company purchased all the plants at A&P, for my yard. I had shopped around a number of nurseries getting familiar with plants for the AZ climate. A&P had friendly staff asked if I needed help, left me alone when I explained I was just 'looking'. The plants delivered where fully grown for there pot size, that is the 5 gallon plants were grown to the edges of the pot and beautiful- no gouged or shaggy spots. Very happy. read more

Reviews for this place seem to be all over the place. I am a contractor and just purchased a tree here for a client. I usually go to Treeland, but A&P had the specific variety of tree I was looking for. The tree we bought was a fantastic specimen and seemed to have strong vigor. It was a field grown lemon tree and was large compared to competitors stock. I noticed their price reflected the larger size though so it wasn't really a special deal or anything. They did seem knowledgable and helpful while working with me and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The lot is not very big though, so be sure to call in to check they have what you want/need. read more

Terrible customer service. Came here and spent $1500 and the guys would not help load the trailer. Said we can load our "shit ourselves" which I called them out on that uncalled for attitude. Their attitude changed after we spent the money. I would rather take my money and spend it elsewhere. No one should be treated this way and I will file a complaint with the better business bureau. We can't say enough about Nick at the Brown Road location. We arranged a home consultation with her as we were looking to add plants to our existing landscape and we wanted advice on what plants would thrive in the various locations. She arrived at the promised time and was friendly and personable. She gave us great advice and also pointed out an insect problem on some of our existing plants that we were unaware that we had. The following day we visited her at the nursery and she spent considerable time showing us the plants she recommended as well as a chemical to deal with our bug infestation. I called AP Nursery this morning wanting to spring plant. I am 71 and my daughter has insisted that my husband and I "shelter in place" because of the corona virus. Steve and Chris were very supportive and not only identified the flowers I was looking for but also picked out a beautiful Indian Laurel tree and 5 hopseed bushes for me.
