This nursery is normally excellent and has earned my loyalty as a patron, but this was one of the most lackluster visits to date.

Not only do we go to them during the holidays but rely on them throughout the year when we need additional plants and trees for our backyard. We first started using Whitfill back in the early 2000's when they were on 40th street south of Roeser. We literally lived across the street from their nursery and when they moved to their current spot on Southern we followed! We have decades of photos with our boys standing next to the tree they choose for Christmas and the tradition continues now with our Sphynx cats! They used to have a peacock walking around but unfortunately he is no longer there. They are pet friendly and we are comfortable taking our cats there in the stroller. Not only are their prices and tree selections the best in town but their customer service and knowledge of anything tree related is vast! They know what they are doing and don't try to upsell or get you to buy unnecessary items. They are the real deal!

My feedback there would just be that sometimes there are products missing tags that for someone like me just means I just won't pick up that plant. My wife and I were trying to top off some gravel (12 tons) in our front and back yards, but the old supplier closed up his quarry 5 yrs ago. Eric stopped by our house and got a sample of our gravel, looked around town and then brought by several samples he found! What??? I have never had a rock company offer to do that. Then, he even let us view the delivery before unloading and even swapped out 1/2 inch for 3/4 inch after he had already loaded his truck. Suuuuch a nice team over there!
