I was in a quick need of a tree to replace a dead one in my yard. I don't know anything about trees, but needed one that would be low maintenance and survive in the AZ heat. I came across Moon Valley Nursey and their salesman Bart Fleming. Bart knew the exact tree to recommend, showed me the actual tree, scheduled my old tree removal and new tree planting. The whole process took about 30 minutes. I highly recommend Moon Valley and Bart Fleming read more

My experience is not good. They plant and say the plants will grow or we will replace. We also had a wellness check that I don't believe ever happened. After spending $2000. I have 2 dead palms 2 dead bird of paradise and a red tree All who read this save your money. No follow up or contact after the sale. You are dead to them after they get your money. A few weeks ago I had a remarkable team of men come and plant two very large avocado trees in my yard. Because I have a lot of clay problems they were very careful to follow the specific instructions on the work order to help with the trees successful life. They were all polite and got right to work and cleaned up so that it wasn't obvious that they had just been planted. I sure hope you get this amazing team: Clainer Vazquez, Supervisor, with: Esteban Martinez; Jose Castro; Ondair Lucao; and Agustin Perez Sevilla read more

Wow... went there today to inquire about a grapefruit tree, and was pressured into buying one 2 minutes after looking at one! I mean, he asked if I wanted to buy the one he suggested, and I said not today, and he said why not!?!? (in a surprising voice), It's on sale!! Geez, the guy must have sold used cars in the past and wasn't good at the either....I'll go elsewhere read more

very professional and knowledgeable team came to plant palms. Also discussed passion plants to enhance the area. thank you John R

Great visit today from Scott Miniear to review the trees we had planted about 10 months ago. He went over care points for the trees to help their growth as well as new watering schedules. He also did a load of maintenance on them while he was here on all 4 trees. Thank you Scott for helping us save these trees! read more

I'm so irritated with this nursery. Overpriced, racked up our bill as much as possible and didn't discuss financing with us so had to cancel the order and come back to it a few months later. Now the plants are in and they're all dying. I've called, texted and the only thing they tell me is to buy "moon juice" and fertilize, which I did ($50 later). They're still dying in the heat. It would have been better to suggest planting in a different spot or wait until later in the year so they don't suffer so much. Or give me ideas on how to protect them. I've asked for help multiple times and not received it. Seriously, go somewhere else. Choose a smaller nursery with people who actually care and are detail oriented enough to know where to plant things so they're happy and healthy! read more

Bought two trees from them and purchased warranty. Both died. They replaced one (2/3 of it died too) but told me I had to give this crape myrtle time to take before they would consider replacing. Then they stopped responding. Now they refuse to replace. Terrible deceptive practices. Will never use again or recommend. read more

Terrible customer service - Mesa location. I had to drive to nursery with dead plants & pictures before I could get their attention. Never received call backs - Michael who I believe is the mgr is very rude. The plants all died after they were originally put in. Ammon who finally helped me ended up leaving the company before plants were installed. Finally, after many, many calls the job was done. WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE!!!! read more

The Moon Valley guys, Cesar and his crew. Did a wonderful job planting my new Red Push Pistache tree today. They were very quick digging out a pretty rocky hole for this tree, but did it with ease. These guys made sure I had all the information I needed to keep it well fed and watered throughout the year. This was a larger tree that will do well and I think having them plant it and and provide instructions will help it thrive. I did purchase the protection plan that "if" by chance this does not make it, they will replace it at no cost. That sure makes you feel like you are protected with your tree investment. This location also has so many other plants to choose from besides just trees. Go visit them and see what will make your yard blossom. Thanks MVN. read more

A big thank you to Nicolas, my landscape designer. He was knowledgeable, patient, and great to work with. When I called my HOA to confirm which trees were allowed, Nicolas walked me around the lot and showed me each option-he knew exactly where every tree was, which made my decision easy. Shout out to Nester, George, and the crew for removing a tough stump. They were professional, efficient, and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. Also, thanks to Esi and his crew for planting my 6-foot Chinese Elm early this morning. They handled everything quickly and flawlessly-digging, planting, staking, and cleanup-all before I finished my first cup of coffee. The tree looks fantastic. Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend! read more

Overall these trees the last of 6 have brought very much needed shade and beauty to my desert oasis. The house stays cool, reducing my s.r.p bill and providing a place to sit in the same and watch the amazing sunset . I want to thank Phil .who walked me through the nursery to show me the huge selections of trees. Most of which don't grow around the ( Chicago aera) place i came from. Also I'd like to express my gratitude to Dan Molina for his prompt response to my concerns. Thank you Moon Valley Nurseries read more

Customer service was responsive before purchase, but communication stopped after payment. I have contacted the company multiple times--December, January, and February--regarding a warranty on a tree that is not doing well and have received no response. Given the cost of their products and the warranty purchased, I expected better follow-through and accountability. I hope they address this promptly. read more

Cesar Jimenez and his crew arrived at our home within 15 minutes of them letting us know they were on their way. Very nice, courteous and professional. In less than 45 minutes they had 9 Ficus planted and had our backyard transformed. Left us with detailed instructions on how to care for our new additions. He went beyond our expectation to make sure we understand how to keep them alive in the upcoming Arizona summer. Also gave my husband tips on what to do for the other trees in our yard that appeared to be struggling. Great experience. Thank you Moon Valley read more

Don't ever buy from this sleazebag company. They take your money and string you along for months. Delay after delay and no calls or updates. When I call them, they just tell one lie after another. I paid for a tree over two months ago, they blew me off for installation twice. Never an update, I guess all they care about is getting your money and never delivering. read more

For years we've heard that Moon Valley is the place to go for a large tree. We've also heard they are the most expensive. Both are true, but they also are among the only nurseries around that offers really large trees. Their selection is solid and they focus on providing trees that can thrive in our climate. Their prices are high, but they are negotiable and they have a good warranty on the trees. Some nurseries don't warranty at all, so this is something to keep in mind. We worked with Richie and he stayed in contact with my husband throughout the process, going as far as texting him updates with photos of trees we might like and even found "the one" for us in Phoenix. Additionally, he made a site visit to our home to make sure the spot we chose for our tree would work. So far, it's been a very positive experience and we can't wait to get our ironwood planted! read more

Eddie and his team were awesome! They showed up bright and early in the morning as promised and had all 28 trees and 7 bushes planted within just a few hours. A great selection of plants and trees, but they're a bit pricy on the cost of everything, products, installation etc. There warranty on plants in s pretty short unless you pay them to plant your plants and pay for their care program. Again, pricey! I've used their moon juice and fertilizer concoctions and every time I've used it, it's killed my plants, palm or trees. I would stay away from all their fertilizer juice! Other than that, they do have a good selection of stuff, if you need something that's hard to find elsewhere, they probably have it. I would recommend them as a last resort if you can't find something at a different nursery. read more

Moon Valley is the place to go if you want great sales and service. I just took delivery of an AZ Ash tree. Not only did Caesar and his crew plant and stake the tree. I do not get the impression their office have much knowledge about plants. I asked questions about an Agave with a tall stem growing and the salesperson says that plant is not dying and it will do that every two years. Josh P came for our 1st maintenance review and did a great review of checking what was needed, and added fresh coverage of mulch which keep the moisture moist due to the AZ heat.
