I came here a couple weeks ago and had to have a receipt re-printed out and despite it being incredibly busy and plenty of other obligations, the manager, Vanessa was phenomenal and really knew what she was doing! She was supporting the other team members all throughout, and the other team members were awesome when I originally bought my items too! Can't recommend this location and store enough!! read more

I woke early to head over my local Harbor Freight store (store #447) to pick up the new Jackery 290. Upon arrival the store notified me that they were currently out of stock. Bummer right!? Not in my case. I talk with a store employee and explained my situation. She stated she could call close by locations for the product and have them hold one for me, if they had one in stock. She made a few calls and found a Jackery for me at another close by location. I'm super happy Sammi was working that day to help me out! She was amazing. I headed over to store #510 to pick up the Jackery. Just like Sammi stated, one was available. I talk with the store manager Juan and he set me up with the product. Juan was also a complete pleasure! Sammi definately gets a gold medal for all she did! And so does Juan. I couldn't have been happier with the help these two provided for me. It was a pleasure working with them!!! HF is my favorite store next to 99 Cents Only stores and WalMart. Can you imagine this single SENIOR WOMAN likes HF so much? HF is my Honey Do. The stuff is so cheap already, sometimes a single use makes the purchase worth it. Several times I got defective merchandise, such as an orbital car polisher, where when you turned it on for the first time, horrible racket and all these plastic shards came flying out. Another time I bought a hand truck/cart. 1 year later I paid a day-laborer to put assemble it and discovered that the L shaped platform and it's screw assembly holes and platform width did not match the holes and width on the poles. It was discontinued by HF and not even in their computer, but they knew they sold it and gave me credit for what I said I paid for it $19.95. Another time I bought a bistro/beach umbrella with wooden spines, which broke the first time I used it, and the wind blew it down. It was beyond the 90 days or I didn't have receipt, but they gave me credit. They do not carry those crappy items anymore. I never "got stuck" with any crappy item, because they refused to make me happy by taking it back, and I think I've been shopping at HF for at least 17 years. Recently I purchased a 50-ft no-kink garden hose from Lowes cos it was on sale, but still was $19.95. I wondered at the time, how much it would be at HF. After buying it, I found HF had a sale on their 50-ft no-kink hose, marked down from $17.99 to $13.99, plus I love it that HF lets me STILL use their 20% off coupon on a sale item, so price would have been $11.19. So I returned the Lowes hose, saving $8.76. HF workers are helpful whatever store I shop at. No bad service or experience ever stuck in my memory, and it is a LONG one! I also get the free items for a no-minimum requirement purchase using 20% off coupon for that too. Then I put the free items in a Christmas gift exchange bag. I think those 25 foot orange tape measures with the super large size numbers, headlamps, and blue multiple LED flashlights (football field shaped) make GREAT GIFTS. Asking for my phone number at the cash register lets the stores know I frequent it, and then they keep me on the mailing list for their sales and special coupons for free items that are better than those found in the junk mail ads. Guy was very unpleasant to me on the phone when I asked about a specific type of product. He was impatient and treated me like I was dumb. He didn't want to help and asked me to look an item up on their website site and call back. Instead of just doing the work himself like all the other store chains have done for me looking for this particular item. He then was rude and demeaning when I asked what their website was. Not going here or recommending this place after that phone call. My sincere suggestion: If you, as an employee, can't handle jobs in places like this, please avoid working there and leave it to patient people who like customers to do those jobs, and please don't treat anyone: men or women-- like they are dumb. Great place for cheap tools. Be careful when visiting this location. Lots of bums and crazy drugged out people floating around this area so be mindful when shopping after dark. Besides the bums, the staff is friendly and the tools quality is getting to the point where there're comparable to the big name brands. Big, ultra bright, clean, virtually brand new store adjacent to an unusually big Big Lots store on the east end of an otherwise seemingly past it's prime shopping plaze now otherwise anchored by an El Super market, and perhaps stretchable to include a Fry's just a bit down past the west end. This is biggest Harbor Freight store I've ever seen. Wide aisles. Plenty of parking. it's just a sort of neat place to poke around in now and then to see if you can find anything useful, and there's always something useful in there, a tool geek's heaven of made-in-China cheap home and shop tools, and other stuff for the do-it-yourselfer and tradesman (or "tradesperson" for the sensitive set). And to give credit, the last thing I bought for myself in there was a brand-I've-heard-of, made-in-the-USA auto battery charger that was an absolute steal. I'm not sure all the cheap off or no-brand tools, electric or hand tools are a steal in the customer's favor, but the sign says "Satisfaction Guaranteed", and at least at one of the other local HF stores where I've made a few returns (not due to any defect in the goods), the returns were hassle free. An A-OK useful place + a bonus star for this big, bright, clean store bringing a bit more life back to this location. read more

Ok this store is part of a chain. A chain that has really been pushing itself hard for the last 5 years or more. It is right by a Big Lots. To me that is what I feel like I am getting when I walk in here. It is all Big Lots type stuff. It has a very distinct smell when you walk in. One I do not like at all. All the tools are made in China and shipped here. Sure they have lots of items but, if you are doing a constution job of working on a car,then good luck. Because, you have many tools that just break in the middle. When they first opened up I would go here with my Brother and we bought our fair share of the stuff. But, one thing after another would bread for us. So I just stopped using them. I came here this time with a friend who wanted to check them out. They are cheap, but from now on, I do not buy anything here. It is just going to break. read more

Wow! I just had one of the worst customer service experiences with the store manager Juan Perez. I was trying to return or even exchange an item that was brand new (never used) still in the box and he was unwilling to take my return. This item was a gift and didn't work when I plugged it in. He stated that the manager had to right to refuse any return. Although it does state that on the receipt, what a terrible way to handle the situation. I was willing to exchange the item for one that was in working condition, but he wouldn't even do that. I'm and regular shopper at harbor freight, but this has really changed my mind on them. Update 6/11/16 So I left a review last week about a very poor customer service experience I encountered at this store. Well, I went to the district manager Robert Rosenberger and received some enlightening information. First, Juan Perez lied and is actually only an assistant, not a store manager. Second, The DM agreed that my item was in brand new unused condition, so they accepted my exchange. Well Robert, I appreciate you listing to my concerns and making it right. I've improved my review from one star to three. read more

Endless coupons, clean store and friendly staff. This store seems to have just about any budget tool you need. That's good as long as the tools you are looking for are for single or very limited use. The quality isn't here but you aren't paying quality prices. Don't expect these tools to last and you will have problems.. if you are a guy that looses his tools and has to buy new ones ever time you start a new project this is your place! read more

Was shocked to see that this new store just opened so close to our house...and happy.bought some casters for $6 each for some work benches at our shop..they are probably the best ones I've used....glide like Ikea shopping carts nice! After working with multiple employees to get assistance for various items, we found that the employees working this shift were very incompetent and had no business working at this location without further extensive training. Unfortunately the receipt has the incorrect cashiers name, however the heavyset girl who was running the cashier was clearly not completely "there" and was acting as if she just came off break to smoke a joint or five. After attempting to locate my information in the system between five and 10 times she was unable to do so even though I had an email with proof showing that I was in the system. After she completed our transaction she noticed the flashlight I was holding which was supposed to be free with our purchase she had completely forgot to scan and had to start our order completely over and acted as if it was our fault. I'm highly recommend going to the store during the day and not the night shift, which is unfortunate because the majority of my experiences at Harbor freight have been five star experiences. It was once my favorite store and I now question that praise. read more

I have loved this place prior to trying to exchange a tarp that had torn after the first use. Cashier had said grab another one and we will exchange. After taking the tarp up to the counter I was told that the tarp wasn't a manufacturer default, it was the user's fault. I had had my other tarp for over 8 years and this one couldn't last one trip.
