My first visit was today, this small store had the basics I needed, nice staff, and woman-friendly* customer service. (*By which I mean no leering nor hovering. :) ) Will visit again when I need hardware in the neighborhood. read more

Alex working the front registeris extremely rude and would not help me look up my ace rewards number when I know for certain I have a reward account. Rest of staff was helpful finding what I needed but if it was just Alex I would give zero stars. She needs some training on customer service. read more

Came in right before closing and Freddy was awesome. Even though they didn't have what I needed, he took the time to check other locations and helped me find it just minutes before closing. Super nice and really appreciated the help! read more

Great store with plenty of staff on hand at all times that are helpful. I had to dock a point for the dog pool I got this season. I purchased a dog pool here with paw print art and it's been great and lasted 2 summers. This season I decided to replace with a new one. However the one I purchased this season has fish as the art. It's a thinner plastic and doesn't work well for small dogs. The art is peeling off in a weird way and making goopy mess. The sides just bend and folds the plastic making it tear easily. I will be on the lookout to see if they get any paw printed pools and I will change my star to five if they do. Dog paw pools and fish contractor pools are way different. read more

I went to 2 other hardware stores, and either they had no idea what they were doing or rude. Robert really took the time to help me and explained it well. He was very patient and really went out of his to help me. Storrs need people like Robert. He provided amazing customer service, and he's very knowledgeable. Thank you, Robert. read more

I can in here for a couple basic items to help remove paint. I found what I needed but kinda a specialty item wasn't there. I don't blame them it's a smaller store. But what I was pleasantly surprised by is how everyone working was in a good mood. I was immediately greeted and multiple employees chimed in to help direct me. read more

Rude employees. Small selection. I've been here before and have had very rude service. Tried again years later and nothing has changed. Zero stars if possible . read more

As usual, my trip to Ace Hardware went well. Julian was very polite & helpful. I've never had any complaints shopping at this local store. I'll always go back there over the big box stores where you can't find help if you need it. Shop Ace and you won't be disappointed!! read more

Last week I was in town working at my father's house. I had to rekey several locks for it. As it turns out I had apparently handed them the original key rather than the new replacement key. It wasn't until I had the locks installed that I realized what I had done, so I took them off and returned to the store to have them done all over again. When I told them that I made a mistake, the good people of Ace Hardware happily did the job again, saying don't worry we need the practice. I was hoping they might give me a bit of a discount because of my error, but instead, they told me no charge because we all make mistakes sometimes. I was so thankful for their awesome, quick, and friendly service. I don't live in the area but if I have to go back I'd definitely visit them again. read more

Very unwelcoming. I asked a question and the manager treated me like I was an idiot for asking. If I'm asking a question, i'm trying to get an understanding for something that I don't know. This place has always given me bad vibes though. Avoid this one and go to Howards Ace Hardware on Indian School and 32nd street. read more

The BEST services and the MOST FRIENDLY people work here!!!! I travel the extra mile to buy there! As soon as you walk in, someone is asking you if they can be of assistance. AND THEY MEAN IT!!!! Unlike Howard's on Indian School Road. You will never shop any other Ace!! read more

This is a good ACE Hardware because it's separate from a shopping mall strip, so the crowd is minimal and the parking easy to find. I would go back to this location. read more

Ace Hardware - ACE Hardware on 24th St. & Oak - Hardware Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

See all

Every time I enter the store it feels like you're being stalked. They are afraid your going to steal something. Second, their Ace masking tape and blue tape does not stay on the surface you put it on. I've had to go over putting pressure on the tape 3 times and it starts to peel back in minutes. Some things only Home Depot can provide they will do the job. read more

We frequent this place pretty often as new homeowners in the area. It's the most convenient place for us to run in to pick up basic tools, hardware, and supplies we find ourselves needing. However, their selection is definitely limited, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is friendly enough, but it's hard to find someone working there who can thoroughly answer questions and give trustworthy advice about what you need. If you already know what you're doing and what you need, you should be just fine here. But if you need any kind of guidance or recommendations, I hate to say that you're probably better off at a "big box" store instead. read more

Helpful as always, clean and never to busy. In and out. Like to support the local ace

Worst customer service ever.. Jessie .G who supposed to be a manager did not want to hear my side of what their associates sold me and continue to shut me out.. horrible service and gonna tell my friends never to go to this store Ever.. piss poor service.. read more

Worst customer service EVER. Wanted to return items with my receipt but they were purchased from a different store. The store manager simply refused to do it even though they were new items and they sell them. He blamed it on the area and then eventually blamed it on them being locally owned. He then proceeded to talk about a return policy and when i asked where it was posted he pointed to Christmas return policy sign from 12-31-14. I was going to purchase additional supplies and materials to take care of my new apartment totaling well over the $32 I was trying to return. Convienence was what ACE had. I will now drive out of my way to support a store who values service. Customer Service is because you want to not because you have to. As a small business.....you should value your customers, or else the big boxes will win! read more

Not my closest ACE, but always get great service here at my "plan B" Nice folks!

I'm so thankful for this Ace! Everyone who works there is amazing and knowledgeable. I'm continually blown away!

The staff were super helpful throughout the whole shopping experience. Rich, the worker, was so very helpful and I would definitely recommend his service. Got exactly what I needed for a school project. read more

So I came in to buy a pressure washer hose and garden hose this week. I called in advance and was told they have it and to come on down. I came in with the hose and went up to the counter for help locating the item I was looking for. They just pointed to an isle and said it "should" be there. I picked up the wrong hose (my bad) and was off to pay. They didn't seem to like taking a company check but no worries here the women ringing me up said "this is the ghetto" when I asked why the hesitation about the check. When I came to rerun the hose instead of helping me find the correct one the man "Jon" (wearing a black polo with no name tag) began to complain about how they couldn't re sell the item because it wasn't in the package. (The items were both bound with zip ties that I brought back and I did bring the labels back, would have only taken a moment to re package like new) and I disputed that saying the packaging is here and he interrupted me saying "you have to be in the business to understand" with a slight attitude and it was very clear they didn't want to return the item and took it out on me. They returned it and gave me my money back but listen, I don't want to hear about your problems re selling the item or be told the item is going to be scrapped because of me. Just do the job. And you could have sold me the correct hose and it would have been a $40 up sale but you missed that opportunity and I honestly forgot to ask for the correct hose since you attitude put me in the mood to just get out. I drove to Home Depot and found the hose anyway. They got $120 of my business because of your attitude. Will not return here again. And it's a shame I live so close (coronado) and can't shop at the local hardware store. read more

Good service and location, more expensive then Home Depot but time is valuable , so they fill a need.

BAD. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. These guys are idiots and have poor customer service ethic. Call to speak with mgmt and got hung up on. read more

I went to ACE and they were already talking about getting us out about 10 minutes before closing which I know it was bad but the man clearly opened the door for us and had the nerve to roll his eyes. They sent the lady to tell us to go but we were already planning on leaving. Other than that we got help by a very nice lady. read more

I bought a bug zapper from a location in Scottsdale last week and it quit after 3 days. I live in central Phoenix. So with my reciept, they said I would have to drive all the way back to the original store. Due to the fact they are all francised. I told them I wouldnt be back that way for who knows how long. Then the cashier says yeah we dont even have that here. Lie number 1. Next I ask the manager to show me where it says this is the policy. She goes in the back with the original trouble maker. He comes back with a new story and asks if I have tbe original box, probably knowing no one usually does that. So I tell him I dont and tben he says well we cant help you then. Lie number 2. I see the same zapper on the shelf and tell him Ill let him keep the box. Oh no, we cant do that. Ill be avoiding this location and going to the one on 32nd st and Indian school. Zero customer service. BOO!!! read more

Ace Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Great service. John was very helpful with a minor lighting fixture problem I needed help with when none of the other Ace hardware locations in the vicinity that I called were willing to assist me. The lamp works great, John! Thanks. read more

Friendly staff and lots of stuff in a small place.

I love this Ace Hardware at 2242 E. Oak St. in Phoenix. Everyone has always been very helpful and I sometimes just call and ask a question. When I need something, I prefer it to the big box store. I like being able to buy nuts and bolts from the little bins rather than packages. (I rarely need 6-12.) It's small but has always had most of what I need. I live in a historic home that is almost 100 years old and there is almost always something to fix. read more

I moved in the area in March of 2013. 1 to 2 times a week I'm in there just wandering each isle. They have the Nicest Staff along with amazing knowledge of all their products. They've even spent the time to draw out and talk over ideas I've had about my home. Thanks guys read more

Went for a paint brush and some stain. The employee was very helpful he approached me to make sure I was taken care of. Excellent service!

As they say ace is the place well it's an all right place. I couldn't find a local Home Depot so I decided to go ahead and check out Ace. For the most part the people in the store were pretty helpful. They were able to guide me to the correct the hours that I needed which was cool. One of the guys they thought that he was mr. Know-it-all expert Hardware men and well didn't really care much for that. I'm that the prices I think we're a little bit more expensive than Home Depot and way more expensive than Lowe's if I had to do it again I probably would not go back. I would probably go to Lowe's instead but overall that wasn't a bad experience. read more
