Had to get some tools for a quick fix on an investment property in Scottsdale and these guys laid out the red carpet for me! I was a random out-of-towner, still in my suit from my meetings and needed some basic help. These guys bent over backwards to tend to my needs. Harbor Freight needs to recognize this behavior and reward it. But, I love the brand and the huge assortment of tools for better prices than the others. My husband loves this store so I frequently tag along. He finds great deals on tools. Not always a name brand, but sometimes you need something you will only use twice n your life and this is the place to buy it. Somehow, I always manage to find something I didn't know I needed and it is a great place for little gifts or stocking stuffers for guys that aren't more sox. A telescoping magnet, a headlight hat band, etc. are all things that are nice to have. Staff is friendly and very helpful (even when I don't know what I'm really looking for) and their sales are great. There are often freebies which can be a great prize for grandchildren. They do have a good selection of products at reasonable prices, however beware of their return policies. I was a few days late returning some ratcheting straps that were still in the sealed packaging. They refused to accept the return or even give me a store credit toward a different item a needed. So, all of the money I saved on their cheap tools in the past, I ended up losing with this transaction. read more

Never had a priblem it didnt matter wether it was a 2 dollar scr3w driver or a 500 dollar welder if there was a problem with it I take it back and walk out with a replacement customer service in store has always been great. read more

I would give them no stars. They would allow a manager's that is clearly in over her head. Her customer skills are nonexistent. Her total disregard of protocols is amazing. I can only hope she is good at paperwork because having in front is an embarrassment to the company. read more

Harbor Freight This is a guys candy store of tools, priced very reasonable. Not top brand names, but some items they sell here don't need to be. Look at the ads that they have where they often list items for free. Don't know if I would buy their high dollar items where I would stay with bigger name brands for longevity, but items like replacement wheels for hand carts or shop rags you can't beat the price. read more

Just called to check availability of an item and was transfered to the back. The guy picked up and said he would check and put the phone down. I then heard over the 30 minutes of cussing vulgar conversations making fun of customers and doing drugs. Also a woman came and asked the guy who answered if he was looking for something and he replied "no not looking for anything just put a guy on hold going to leave it until he hangs up" I recorded 20 minutes of clear audio on my other phone of the f bombs, ridiculing customers and taking drugs by at least 3 individuals. Then I hear the guy come back to the phone and say I bet this guy hung up and hung it up himself. I immediatly called back to the only supervisor there Heidi told me im sorry this happened ill have a talk with them. Didnt ask for my information or anything after saying I've been shopping there for years and spent thousands of dollars both me and my family. Pretty depressing that a business can get this bad especially during this time where every customer should be appreciated and cared for with professionalism and gratitude. Will never shop at this location again and may post the audio just have to bleep about 500 f bombs and crude language no one should have to hear. read more

+1 star for prices +1 star for friendly staff -1 because it's not uncommon to wait 10 minutes in line -1 because their products are extremely inferior to any other place. Screwdrivers, drills, etc will have MINIMUM LIFE. -1 because I bought a motorcycle stand and within a week of using it the rubber top ripped to shreds. They wouldn't honor my exchange because I don't have a receipt and my gf bought it for me and she didn't use my number to save in their system. Clearly theirs with stickers still on. It's hard to review this place because well, Harbor Freight seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it type of place. Some people just can't stand the tightly packed stuff or the general feel of the place, but bargain hunters immediately see the huge variety of low-cost goods they have here. This location, in particular, was cleaner and more organized than most. Some locations are really run down and less cared for. While you can find some real junk here, there are a lot of gems to be found also. Their air tools, for example, have never let me down. They sell for 1/2 or less of the major brands, and have always worked just as well for me. I would NOT recommend things that are supposed to be sharp, such as drill bits, saw blades, and the like. They are almost always junk. Their hand tools have a lifetime warranty, and while I only have a couple of them, they have worked just fine. This is THE place to buy the little stuff like gloves, brushes, cleaning supplies, and similar items that you just can't screw up. The price on nitrile work gloves is about 1/4 of any other place. If I could give zero stars I would I traveled to this store last night from Prescott Arizona over a 100 mile drive the Internet said the store was open till eight I arrived approximately 730 they were closed and they wouldn't open the doors even though there was five or so people inside working I called and the phone rang and rang and rang and rang someone answered and said Harbor freight were closed I said I understand that I drove from Prescott over 100 miles and Adam is holding something for me, the person on the other end said there's nothing I can do the registers are closed it will be here in the morning well I just drove over 100 miles and I won't be there in the morning and I won't ever be there again because this store sucks!!!!!! This is my favorite store to shop for tools. I recently purchased a 26"x22" Single Bank Extra Deep Roller Cabinet. I was having a problem selecting between two styles. Fred was great about listening to what I needed and helped me make an informed decision. I will probably soon be purchasing the Single Bank Top Chest that fits on top of the cabinet I bought. These tool cabinets are great for organizing my tools and the quality is better than the expensive brands. Take a look at the reviews on YouTube. I purchased a "solar security light 3/14/2016.. The light stopped working in Jan, 2017. I returned to the store to see about an exchange or something maybe a credit but instead was very rudley advised that I did not purchase an extended there was nothing he could do. The light was obviously a piece of junk. I mean really come on, you mean to say this solar light should only be expected to last 10 months ??. The brand is Bunker Hill.
