I asked a young employee for help but he seemed to be new so he walked up the isle to Robert to ask for help. Robert yells "what do you want?!" The kid says something & Robert says "go help her, I'm busy" as he's NOT helping anyone. Then he tells the kid "go get someone else to help her. What does she want?!" ALL this as I'm standing at the end of the isle where I could clearly hear him & his LOUD refusal to help the kid help me. He FINALLY walks over & I tell him to not speak to the kid like that in front of customers & that the way he was talking to him & about me was rude and not good customer service. I never leave bad reviews about any store because I never care enough. But the interaction I had today was actually crazy. I thought I might've been on a prank show. There was nothing wrong with my return -- I wasn't upset, I wasn't being difficult, and I had no problem with Harbor Freight's policy. I just asked a simple question about why the process seemed different than usual. In response, Elizabeth became visibly agitated, spoke over me, and said, "Since you're in the military, you need to learn some patience," referencing the uniform I had on. That comment really threw me off. I don't think wearing a uniform makes me better than anyone else, but it definitely doesn't make me the person you pick a fight with -- especially when nothing is wrong. I wasn't being rude or sarcastic, but she treated me like I was. The part that confused me the most is that she seemed to create a scenario in her head and then react to it. It felt like she was projecting some kind of frustration onto me, even though I was calm and just asking a question. The manager eventually stepped in to explain the return system, and I had to clarify multiple times that I wasn't upset with the policy at all -- I had no issue with the return process. My issue was her attitude and behavior, which turned a normal interaction into something extremely uncomfortable for no reason. She was escalating a situation that never existed. I left that store upset and confused. I've spent thousands of dollars at Harbor Freight and have always had good experiences -- until now. I hope this gets addressed, because that kind of customer interaction is unacceptable.

Located in the heart of Peoria. Plenty of ample parking. Super easy to spot. Parking lot and entry way are clean. I was greeted the moment I entered the store. Aisle was clearly marked. Found what I wanted in seconds. Checked out and paid for it immediately. The whole thing took a couple of minutes at best. It's unlikely I'll need to come here very often, but I was pleased with the experience I had yesterday!
