He single handedly took care of 4 separate customers very efficiently and remained positive and motivated through out it all, making every one feel important and a priority. When the printer had technical issues he went through a multitude of troubleshooting efforts until he fixed it. She verified that the bins were supposed to come with lids, then swiftly collaborated with management to figure out the best course of action. Called to let them know something was wrong with washer same day it was delivered so in the time frame They said would send a replacement. We ordered a stove and refrigerator to be delivered to our home 3 days after purchase. We put our stove out for bulk pick up the morning of the second delivery date. They changed the delivery date a third time that afternoon. We didn't have a stove for 5 days. We waited for a delivery time on the 3rd date. We didn't receive one. We called to see what time and they said they tried to call us to tell us they couldn't find the refrigerator in the warehouse so it wouldn't be delivered. They claimed the voicemail box was full. It wasn't. We're cancelling our order and going to Lowe's or Spencer's. The worst experience we've ever had. You would think Home Depot could do better. read more

I have been going to this HD for about 14yrs now and in that time ONLY 2 associates have saked if I needed help. When looking for help there NOONE there to help you. All the associates walk around and seem to be looking for a place to hide from customers. By far the worst HD I have ever walked into. Now to make matters worse I ordered online and HD sent the wrong merchandise. After calling it in to customers service, I was told that the item was out of stock. Very rude management I wish I would gotten his name, I was in on 9-25-25 about 6:30pm I needed new locks and doorknobs for my new doors the person that rekeys was on an hour lunch and no manger in the store knew how to rekey that's very unacceptable I was told by that manager that rekeying was a courtesy so I took that as we really didn't have to do this for me or did he want to do this for me? Horrible customer service. I spent 45 minutes trying to get a 1/8 inch piece of cable cut. Ridiculous. They paged help to the isle 6 times. One guy finally came and could find anything to cut it with so he said he'd call someone else. He disappeared and no one came. We took the roll to hardware tool area and no one there to help. A cashier paged someone to tools to see if they could cut it. No one showed. We asked cashier if they could use cutters off the shelf to make the 2 second cut , nope. I finally pushed my cart with $100 worth of stuff to the cashier and told him we were leaving after wasting an hour of my time in that store , going to Lowe's to get service. read more

Whoever was working the return counter today 3/11/2021 @ approx 1:20pm was rude, no people skills, and not the least bit helpful. She did not even make an attempt to take my return for an item that I purchased with an entire kitchen appliance purchase. I provided a receipt and told her it was also on my card. She asked me to swipe my card so I did. I asked which way does the stripe need to be and just kind of stared at me and eventually told me to just swipe it. So I swiped my card. She said the item wasn't popping up and was getting ready to just walk away from the register and thought I was just going to accept that it wasn't there. I said well it should be there, and I have the receipt look it's right here and I pointed to where the item was listed on the receipt. She didn't scan the receipt and scan the item once more and continue to tell me that the item was not there. Even though the item was clearly listed on the receipt I had provided. She told me the item was only ringing up for one cent and could not return it. She did not apologize or say sorry about this etc. Absolutely no customer service skills. And I have had nothing but issue after issue since purchasing my kitchen appliance package here at this Home Depot. I made the purchase back in November and lost several days of work due to having to reschedule delivery dates after being told time and time again that I wouldn't need to reschedule. The installation I paid for was not done correctly and they did not install my dishwasher and I had to do it myself. In doing so, I realized I did not need the power cord the told me I absolutely needed upon preach song everything back in November. The worst and most unprofessional floor installation i have ever seen installed in my life! My 80 year old mother had the worst floor installation experience dine by Home Depots so called contractors. Take a look at the pictures which show how these clear amateurs install flooring. First off to hide their uneven cutting along the edges the installer put down molding but because they are so lazy they put down white molding and didn't even bother to match the color of the flooring or the oak color of the cabinetry above the flooring! In addition they did not bother to remove the old baseboard prior to laying down the flooring and just added additional molding next to the old baseboard! Who does this crap.... i will tell you who untrained immigrants who barely speak englush and just slap down a crappy job and expect to get paid by Home Depot probably because they give them a bargain basement price to become a Home Depot' sub-contracting company! The installer then advised my 80 year old mother he would leave her some touch up paint to get on her hands and knees and paint/touch up to paint and match the white molding to the oak cabinetry! Isn't that were we're paying Home Depot for is to professionally install it properly?? What is the point of Having an 80-year-old woman pay a professional installer and have them tell her she needs to finish the job! Making forPaying for a Home Depot installation Absolutely POINTLESS! Here are the facts for order WM16450967: I ordered online Aug 30, 2020 for in-store PU. Estimated ready date when I ordered was Oct 19th. On Sept 30, while I was already at work for 2 hours, I receive an email thanking me for picking up my order. I call the customer service # on the website, I was told Andrew from the store would call me back. That was 24 hours ago, still no call. I used online chat to find out whats going on. I was told that sometimes the stores miss sending the "ready for PU" email, but I should be able to go PU anyway. I tweet Home Depot asking if someone there could actually update me on my order status. Again, 24 hours later, no response. So...sounds like they gave my order to someone else and my only recourse is to dispute it with my credit card. read more

On April 24th I went to shop. I parked near the nursery and went inside. Suddenly there was wind and i heard a loud bang (this happened with me being there minutes). I go out and see that there were the green water tanks rolling around and my car had been hit. I was told by mike and another manager that my car was going to be fixed by home depot and it was their fault. Turns out HOME DEPOT is claiming act of nature. The water tanks were not secured and still are not til this day. They could have killed me and my unborn child as i'm 6 months pregnant but claim it was an act of nature. PURE Negligence. Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! We bought a DeWalt drill set and at home opened it up to paint all over the tools, names written all over it, wrong battery pack and all. We went back to return and get a new one and they were not as helpful as hoped then when we got home with the second one... SAME ISSUE!! Completely used and all messed up. Fricken unbelievable, I ordered 2 space heaters on Dec. 6,2019. Estimated delivery date was for 12-10-19. Never got any updates on if it was showing up on that date or another date. Today while sitting in my living room with the door open, something makes a loud noise at my front door. OnTrac Delivery service that they use threw the box 3 feet from the door. I jumped up so fast, but the person that brought it up did not even speak or ring the door bell, they just threw the box and walked away so dang fast. So fast I couldn't see if it was a guy or a girl. After being thrown to the ground, Home Depot I sure hope the heating elements didn't get hurt. Home Depot, really use FedEx or UPS, so things get to the customers without the items being thrown here to there. read more

What's the deal with Joel, the Jerk, in the customer service department for Penske Truck Rental in your West Peoria Avenue store? He might be better suited to something besides customer service. I attempted to return a Penske Truck that I had rented on a move from Oregon to Arizona. "WHERE IS YOUR PINK PAPER!!!" Joel demanded. "What pink paper?", I answered. It was in the glove department of my car, and I had forgotten that I put it there. This went on for awhile, back and forth, with Joel demanding the pink paper, or "YOU WILL BE CHARGED EVERY DAY UNTIL YOU FIND IT!!!" There was no middle ground with him. We had to leave, because I did not have "THE PINK PAPER!!!" I was going to be continuously charged until I produced "THE PINK PAPER!!!" Later on our drive out of Home Depot, Joel called to say that we did not need "THE PINK PAPER!!!". I called Penske Truck Rental in Portland. No, we did not need "THE PINK PAPER!!!", as everything is on the computer. Joel needs help in his profession. He needs training on how to deal with the public. Perhaps psychological help, because in my opinion, he does 1) not like women, 2) does not like senior citizens and 3) likes to bully other people. I went to home depot back in April and ordered a Whirlpool freezer. They told me because of the covid 19 they could not deliver it until June 29. I got a phone call from Whirlpool on Fri June 26 telling me delivery was rescheduled for Sept 26. THIS WAS NOT HOME DEPOT'S FAULT, Mike from customer service helped me cancel the order and refunded me full price. He then offered to take $50 off of a smaller Frost King freezer which was very nice if him to do. Mike and Home depot at 59th and Peoria in Glendale are extremely friendly and helpful. So I am updating my original review from 2 stars to 4. Several Home Depot employees have reached out to me to rectify the issues my husband I had with this purchase. Even the new store manager who wasn't even at this store when all of this took place took time out of his day to call. My negative review wasn't about getting something for nothing either. It was about an associate who didn't handle a situation properly. All of the calls and emails I have received have proved to me that as a whole Home Depot does care about the service you receive. Zero Rating: These people, once you've contracted for hundreds or even thousands of dollars of material and installation, will provide you a time of delivery of product of 6am to 8pm, and the service desk eg Anthony, will make absolutely no effort to see if there is a way to help, which actually there is. The manager will explain oh it's very complicated and that's why they can't give you a more precise time than 6 am to 8pm. You know what's NOT complicated. Well here I am again at the Home Depot on 59th Avenue and Peoria I posted a while ago about how it's taken so long to get a simple repair done on my lawn mower here it is Saturday morning my lawn mower still isn't fixed they gave it back to me told me ran it started it ran it still has the same problem they charged me $100 to put on a starter which takes two screws to put on an air cleaner and did not address my carburetor issue after having it for 2 weeks I'm so livid right now it's taking every bit of my power not to take it out on the employees of the Home Depot I am totally embarrassed about my yard buy now I wish I would have just bought a new lawn mower and gave mine to somebody else I live right by this Home Depot I don't know if I'm going to shop you're ever again I'll drive to the Lowe's right down the road maybe they can get it right read more

I have been to this particular Home Depot location many times over the last several years since I moved nearby. I have had some good experiences and some that were not that great, but overall, "average" seems to sum it up. On the plus side, the staff has always been friendly, and genuinely tries to help and seems to care. The store itself, compared to several other locations I have visited in the past, is a bit more disorganized and cluttered, but not overly so. The only truly negative experiences I have had come from dealing with ordering services which are ultimately fulfilled by contractors, and not Home Depot staff. When ordering such services, it seems only a select few employees have enough experience to navigate the various menu's and options successfully (for reference, I have purchased and had installed: dishwasher, oven, garbage disposal, garage door opener, and interior doors). A few times I have had to wait for up to an hour for an employee to feel confident that they are ordering everything correctly. This isn't horrible considering I am ok with waiting as long as they get it right, which they genuinely try to do. When it comes to the installation contractors, it is VERY hit and miss. Some have been outstanding, others absolutely horrible. I feel like it's such a gamble that I won't be purchasing anything from Home Depot that requires a contractor anymore. For normal purchasing however, I will still purchase from Home Depot and this location. read more
