This place is amazing no matter how odd the request they seem to have the part on hand to get me by.

We purchased screens for our Arcadia door waited 2 weeks for them to be made picked them up and they didn't fit. Measuring the screens they were 1/4 an inch off but the hardware was also different (smaller with less adjustment) the screens literally kept falling out of the tracks. After talking with the manager and being informed I would have to talk to the owner I went back to the store where he asked if he could send someone out to try and fit the screens that don't fit. I reluctantly agreed and set an appointment day of appointment I waited 5 hours called and was informed they were busy and would have to schedule something in the new year. That was early December 25'. This is March he won't refund the 500$ has the screens too. If you want to get ripped of when something doesn't fit Ace is the place!!! read more

Just wanted something quick yes they were closing in 5 minutes but they reluctantly let me in. I tried to explain what I was looking for. "I don't need the story we are about to close." And he says "yea well we had to close early" and wouldn't let me get what I needed even though I can clearly see the store still full of people. Ace Hardware has a MUCH larger selection of Christmas stuff than we expected - and they have UNIQUE Christmas options!! We really enjoyed looking at their displays and Christmas options!! Of course, we found a couple of great finds!! We have been to ALL of the stores looking at Christmas decor!! We saw some stuff here that we didn't see elsewhere! Their prices are very fair as well, whether at regular price, or that smoking deal sale price being offered right now!! The number of employees to help you out is unexpected and they all go out of their way to seek you out and help you - with a great attitude!! We have a new appreciation for ACE HARDWARE!! The always seem to have just what I need, or 98% of the time, and most times you don't have to buy a whole box of nails/screws/bolts like you do at the big box stores. I'd rather pay $0.08 for a bolt than $9 for a box when I only need one. If I can't find what I'm looking for there's always someone around to help. It's just like the stores I went to as a kid. Nothing has changed except my location, and I wouldn't have it any other way. read more

Before you say you regret that your business didn't meet the minimum expectations of your customer. I would like to tell you that I regret coming to this store. The customer service was below the minimum threshold for customer service. I don't believe that management had any previous customer service experience. Got a gift card from upside. I went to store grabbed my pool shock. Went to pay they could not find a way to process digital gift card. 3 people tried and had no idea what to do. I ended up paying cash. Went home ordered the same shock used the gift card and they processed the order only to cancel the order 5 minutes later. Kept the gift card money. This company although w a nice selection of overprice stuff is behind the times and will soon go the way of Woolworth and yellow front. Amazon is lightyears ahead of most retail. Whenever I had to return something which had been rare they are very understanding and helpful. They are my first choice before going to one of the big box stores. Open when ever. Close when ever they want. Employees are all by the door and all I am told by them is to go to breakfast. The open time says 9 am its 920. Thank you for your level of disservice. You advertise open and close times how about honoring those times. Waisting my time and gas to come to this store won't happen again. Was in the shop to return a 10dollar item my husband had bought there. Showed the receipt together with the unopened item. The check out lady wanted my husband credit card (receipt not sufficient) which I got for her. She then filled up a a paper note I had to sign, write my husband name, his phone number and my signature. I then had to fill another window on their computer and sign. The only shop I ever had to do this circus for 10 dollars!?! And not with a smile from the cash register woman. Never again. I'll go elsewhere. read more

Bought two grade 8 bolts and did not grab the receipt from the cashier. Went back to exchange for the correct length and thread pitch which they did not have the correct length and thread pitch. Asked for a store credit since I shop here frequently. They said no we wouldn't do a store credit. $10 in bolts just cost them a life long customer. Saturday Sep 29 at 5:45 pm, I came looking for a screw. When I walked in, I addressed the employees that were chatting by the hall. Brian looked at me and said "don't interrupt me", to which I answered "I am a paying customer. I am not interrupting you. I need help finding a product". He said again that I should not be interrupting his conversation to which I replied that he needed more customer service skills. He was rude and got angry with my question and comment instead of being helpful and respectful. He did not apologize at all but left angry. It seems he was feeling entitle to being rude and aggressive. Manager of Arrowhead ACE store and district manager: what kind of training are you providing to Brian? It seems he needs to be written up and trained in customer service and leadership. It seems he is not familiar with his job description and the value proposition of the ACE Hardware brand. In comparison to major retail stores like Home Depot, ACE's only competitive advantage is customer service. Or should I say it used to be customer service but no longer? I am still expecting a managerial response to this incident. Otherwise, it will validate why ACE is slowly and silently going out if business. I agree, super friendly employees. Came into get a key made for my mum. I prefer Ace to HD & Lowes, whenever I can. Even tho the stuff is typically a tad more...I love the local friendly help. No matter which Ace (AZ or WA) I prefer them. They are typically independently owned. Customer service has always been far superior than that of big box stores, in my opinion. DO NOT shop at this store! We had to special order our paint because we are painting our entire house. We ordered it and was supposed to be ready for pick up last night. I paid them over $1,100 for the paint. THEY NEVER ORDERED IT! They just took my money and didn't place the order. Well we have bought several products that either do not work and we just don't return or they don't work and we return them...depends on price and available time. Recently my husband was in purchasing some fittings for the watering system. Well my husband bought the wrong size and went to return it but unfortunately didn't have his receipt. The very rude woman at the register told my husband he bought them at another store....I remember her having to do a price check on the item the day we bought it so she must of put different codes in so when my husband went to return the item it is showing up not purchased at their store...I don't know if that's it or what. All I know is we bought the $15 item at that specific store. She was arguing with my husband telling him he was wrong when he said he bought them at her store. I was with my husband and she was just a bitchy that day also. We will no longer be going to this store. We have purchased solar lights that had to be returned and also purchase a thermometer cola sign that when we got it home noticed the thermometer was broken....we did not return it because we did not think they would believe we did not break it....which by this lady's reaction recently tells me I am correct. We have spent quite a bit at this store but now will go to Home Depot. Too bad since the lady I had at the register the other day was very nice and sweet. I Went in here looking for hose clamps. Sometimes it can be an adventure navigating these stores with no help . But here at ACE I was immediately greeted up front when I walked in by the blonde, young female cashier ( even through she had a line and was clearly very busy she was very friendly and good multitasker ) . I would not recommend this ACE to go too. I went there several days ago and the gentlemen who works in the back Matt was amazing but today and entire different story. Matt wasn't there today we needed to have plexi glass recut which the guy today did a horrible job jagged edges not straight. When I get to the front I point out how horrible it is and she proceeds to say "yeah guys in the back are separate don't know about them" which there wasn't anything to know other than he did a horrible job which she could care less about rectifying. The sad things is I believe she is the daughter of the manager since she was calling out dad to him. She could care less about making the customer happy it's obviously just a job for her so if the daughter of the person In charge doesn't care about customer service that should tell what your experience you will have there. read more

It really doesn't get any better than this. If you need it, they have it - at a reasonable price and at the best quality to be found. And... it is Hardware Heaven! I have been here several times and know that I can always find what I need for the house - inside & out! They have everything you need to maintain your home: ladders, fixtures, cleaning tools and etc. Most importantly, if it is an odd and hard to find item, check here. They just may have it (they always do for us). The best thing about this place - by far - is the hardware. THEY HAVE IT ALL! All types: metric, standard and the most odd and hard to find pieces - even automotive hardware! My husband counts on them every time and every time they never let him down. He is amazed at how well it is stocked and the knowledge of the staff. Every time he gets back from there he says, " I LOVE ACE Hardware. They have everything!" This ACE has friendly service like an old "mom and pop" hardware store from a generation ago. They're usually good with the greeting on the way in and rarely am I not asked if I need assistance with finding something. They have more than you think in here, and it saves me a trip to Home Depot with their arcane split enter/exit doorways. I have 2 issues with this store. Masks don't seem to be a big priority. Employees sometimes where them and sometimes don't. They don't say anything to customers not wearing them so i certainly don't feel comfortable going back there. My other complaint is after waiting 20 minutes in line i finally was getting helped when they stopped talking to me as they got a phone call and helped the phone caller and left me standing there for another 10 minutes. Why does a phone caller have priority over somebody who is there in person and has been waiting for 20 minutes. I would love to hear from management there thoughts. read more

I love ACE Hardware! Seriously called around like 5 other places to get a lock re-keyed, and was told I would have to pay between $20-$60... like seriously people?! Then I called ACE, and guess what... $8, yup, EIGHT whole dollars (plus tax, of course.) So I brought the lock into ACE, dropped it off with the super sweet guys at the service center, who let me pick out the key that I wanted my lock re-keyed to, and then told me they'd call me when the lock was ready. **BAM** 30 minutes later they called me to say the lock was re-keyed and ready for pick-up. Took the lock home and it works great! (Keeps the boogeyman out.) Don't get bamboozled into overpaying to get simple things done, go to your local ACE hardware! read more

The craziest part was when one of them approached me I asked him to put on a mask or at the very least backup and social distance.
