Since moving to Glendale, we've been to this Home Depot a half dozen times. All of their employees are exceptionally nice and seem to have time to stop and ask if you need any assistance. This is notable, since COVID has removed many of their older employees from the the workforce. Several have come down with the virus and are now on the mend. We have bought several items here, including in lumber, outdoor grills and patio, plants, paint and odd tools. Prices are fairly decent and they have good variety and supply on hand. Nice! read more

We came in on a Friday night to grab some things for my grams house. We talked to a couple different associates as we were looking for things and everyone was so helpful and friendly. It's pricier here than Lowe's which is where we prefer, but there isn't one close to us. Their selection of products is good but we needed one thing that was only available online. read more

The customer service was terrible. I had three men walk past me and not asked me if I needed any help, but asked the gentleman directly 2 feet behind me and I go to the register and of course it's self check out only well I bought cinderblocks for my garden they didn't have a sticker on it Then the one man asked me what didn't you take? A picture of the barcode on the metal frame didn't know I had to ask him for help. He said he couldn't help me. He was in electrical if that's the case why are you standing behind the register anyways, then had to stand in line with only one person working the self check out linemuch nicer people yesterday at the location. I went to a Peoria. I would definitely suggest going there and not coming here very unhelpful. Worst experience. I wouldn't suggest this location then whatsoever no wonder their parking lot was empty because their customer service sucks now they have a few things selection and variety wise. I purchased a Blue Rhino propane tank (now owned by AmeriGas) for my BBQ grill at Home Depot. When I attached it to my grill the gas would not flow from the tank. After examining the tank, I found the valve was defective. When I took it back to Home Depot, they would not exchange it for another full tank. The only option I was given was to purchase a new tank as if I was exchanging an empty tank. I don't know how to protect yourself from this rip-off, you can't test it without hooking it up to a grill. I'm sure Home Depot will receive full credit from AmeriGas for returning a full tank that is defective. My future propane purchases will be from stores other than Home Depot. read more

So before posting this I called the Home Depot 800 number on the website and spoke with a representative about this warranty with husky products or if anything has changed since I never really have to warranty any of my husky ratchets. But last night I came into this location on 12-29-2024 to warranty a 1/4 black Husky Ratchet that came in a socket set that is all black for warranty due to the bearings getting stuck as you try to loosen or tighten anything. Well customer service named BRE said that I have to get the EXACT same ratchet to do warranty and I told her they don't have black ratchets only chrome and said if it ain't the exact one she can't warranty it. I asked to speak to someone else regarding this and she called someone and that person told her to warranty it and she then told me they will ONLY DO THIS FOR ME THIS ONE TIME. And then asked if I had a receipt I told her no I didn't I've had this set for 8+ years. Also the rep I called also said they don't make the black ratchets anymore. So either customer service needs more training regarding warranty for husky hand tools because it was just a big headache for a simple warranty. read more

Headed out after dinner last night to the local Home Depot. PIcked up (8) 80 lb. bags of their concrete that was on sale for my dad-in-law's backyard BBQ project. The concrete is conveniently stacked up on pallets right outside the exit so you can pull up right next to the pallets and load up from there. I ran inside to the contractor's cash register where there was no one else in line. Paid for the (8) bags of concrete, loaded up the truck and I was on my way. I think the whole process was about 7 minutes. Not sure how they could have possibly made the process any easier on me. The store was clean and the cashier was friendly and attentive. One of the store employees outside even helped me load up my truck with the concrete which was nice! read more

Matt was incredible! I had a specific project in mind and he helped me pick out quality products for each step. I was refinishing furniture pieces and decor. They were light wood and I wanted them black. He helped me pick out the appropriate sander, 3M's Sanding Sponge since the pieces have round edges, Varathane's Classic Black Wood Stain, and Varathane's Ultimate Polyurethane for the protectant. He also gave me the openers and stirrers. In addition, Matt answered all of my questions about the process and steps like dry times and the right brushes or way to apply each on. I'm happy to say I completed this project and everything looks beautiful! My next project is making a coffee table, and I look forward to coming back to this Home Depot location, I also am very glad they have someone as knowledgeable and friendly as Matt! read more

SO disappointing. Used to buy our christmas tree at Home Depot every year. This year customer service was so disappointing. Employee just sat there told my husband, just pick it out and bring it to me, pay first before I cut the branches off. Past year employees were always helpful. This year just lazy. He didn't even cut the trunk, tree died within 10 days. I'm so mad. Today we went to another Home Depot, on Bell & 67th - same service. Just sat there. You just lost our business! We moved on, never will I buy from Home depot again. Found another tree, 3 gentlemen helped us out, walked the field with us, cut the tree properly and brought to the car. We went here looking for fans and chandeliers. Huge place for home improvement products. They have good collection of fans but less options for chandelier. Also, fan prices were comparatively cheap to Lowe's. But still recommended when you setup your home. read more

I had some time to burn so I decided to come in and check out the shower heads because I desperately needed a new one. The one I had was basically water just trickling out of it. I was standing there looking and and employee, I believe his name was Andrew, came up to check on me and see if I needed any help. I kind of briefly told him what I was looking for and he jumped right on it! He went to the computer and looked up high pressure ones I told him I was interested in the one that I bought. He went online and looked up some more information about it and then he encouraged me. I made a joke how the hardest part was going to be installing it myself, and he rolled with it and gave me all the encouragement that I needed. He helped me get the last little thing that I needed the white not tape thingy whatever it's called to wrap around before I twisted it on. Sorry if none of this makes sense I am not very good at home improvement stuff and this was the first thing I ever did by myself and even though it was easy, I just want to say thank you Andrew for giving me the encouragement and all of your help! read more

If I could give them a negative number of stars, I would. Home Depot has lost a customer for life. My wife and I purchased a refrigerator and washer/dryer on 11/12/22. We spent $4728. The earliest delivery date was 12/1/22. Today is 12/1/22 and I had received a text notification yesterday that my order would be delivered today between 10am-2pm. When the didn't show by 2pm, I called Customer Service and found out the delivery was delayed, but would still arrive today. I called again at 4pm and was told that there were still 4 more deliveries ahead of me. How can that be when I was originally given a time window of 10am-2pm? While on the phone with the Customer Service Rep, she told me that her system updated and they had to cancel today's delivery. I could not believe my ears. She could not make any accommodation for me and was only able to reschedule the delivery. The earliest date available was 12/14/22. This means we will have waited more than a month for our order. I would not recommend buying from Home Depot. This review is not against the store itself, but the failed delivery of my order. read more

Self checkout! Really guys?! Shopped there on 11/5/2019. No "cash" self check out, so an associate had to format one of the check outs to cash. Apparently I wasn't paying attention during that part of my employee training class. Every, and I mean every customer using the self check out had an associate assisting, us included. I don't work for Home Depot though they force me to. I wouldn't work for them and resent having to work to give them my money. Updated review 6/17/20 I was just at the store again Wednesday afternoon was hoping to find some help in the plumbing section but still again nobody was there. One rep was walking towards me and then turned down the aisle and then later I saw him walking up with another customer to help them. Even after he was done helping never bothered to ask if I need help Just visited the store on a Friday afternoon it wasn't really busy I went to go buy a drill and online it said it had a certain drill in stock so when I went there the space was empty so I waited there for a while and then I wait a while longer and no one came every single time I come to the store no one is available and you have to run them down so I'm just gonna go to another Home Depot hopefully they have read more

I finally got a refund after many conversations however, Home Depot refused to remove the huge double doors framing they installed before the doors got installed! No explanation was given other than they do not remove their own frames, so I was left with a pair of double doors and the frame that do not match, looks really bad, my home is damaged by these unusable frames and doors. I do not know what to do about getting everything removed. I will give everything away free; two doors and wall frame to anyone who can use either one or both of them, please contact me. I've always been a Lowe's guy but a few years ago I moved and well, Home Depot was closer. So I started going to one (Bell Rd) really close to my house. They were hit or miss but "hit" enough to keep me going there. Last month I tried the online order thing (first time) for a small project, and well, they (Bell Rd) MISSED!!!!!! Quite honestly, Bell Rd Home Depot jacked my time for a month!!! BUT, this Home Depot (at 6160 Behrend Drive) was MY SAVIOR! Every time Bell jacked me, Behrend was there. Not once did they not have what their online said they had. Not once did I go in and get an excuse. My orders were always ready and COMPLETE! Not once did I enter the facility and not get a smile and a hello. This place has their sh*# together and is ready to help the customer. I only wish they would send their blueprints/game plan etc. to the cluster____ over on Bell Rd. Y'all rock! Keep up the good work!!! read more

Bre at the return desk looked at every option and was able to exchange it for me and the entire process was pleasant and seamless. I use this Home Depot quite often as a contractor, One thing I have Continually noticed over the past year with all the Covid stuff happening a guy named Walt who always is wearing his military veteran Hat is always taking care of the Carts and wiping them down as I walk in, he has the carts nicely lined up and ready to go. He is always very polite and friendly as I walk in the store and never fails to Greet customers with a smile. Always makes for a nice experience at this Home Depot. I go to 5-15 different Home Depot's every month and only at a couple do they have someone that starts the experience inside the store off with a smile every time. Even when the store looks seemingly nuts busy Walt is always on top of his duties and it is very appreciated as a customer. read more

There is some good people that work here. I've had some good experiences here. However there are some people that don't seem to care if you find what you need or are taken care of. For example: I was issued a $25 store credit card. I dropped it while shopping and went back for it, the receipt was there but card was gone. Of course whatever person who took it that lacks integrity does not know it is tied to my license. I went back to customer service asking if they could cancel it and issue me a new one. Their answer was a simple "no". Now I am out $25. Understandably I should have not dropped it but things happen and customer service needs to be much better thank this. Can't go wrong with Home Depot! This store is welcoming, clean, organized, and has everything you need to spiff your the inside or outside of your house. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and go out of their way to help you with your project. However they also know when to let you do your thing and figure it out on your own if that's more your style. They have everything from kitchen appliances to lighting to outside furniture and even television and electronic hookups. Oh and if you want to paint your whole house bright yellow (I don't recommend it), they can hook you up with the supplies for that too. The store is huge but it's not intimidating, and the isles direct you to just what you need. The prices are reasonable and even cheaper than their competitors and if something doesn't work then you just bring it back with no questions asked. If you need something done and the right tools to do it then come to Home Depot, this location is a good one! read more

Like most of their compatriots, this big box store is lacking most severely when it comes to customer service and the basics of running a retail operation. My last few visits have been a disastrous waste of time, but after tonight I am just done with them altogether. Not long ago, I was looking for something fairly simple, a decent sized tarp. I didn't care what color or what mil thickness, heck even the dimensions weren't particularly important. Just a tarp. Any tarp. My wife and I searched the entire store to no avail. There was not a single tarp to be had. Literally checked every aisle, some several times. The only employees we encountered were too busy stocking shelves to acknowledge a customer who obviously needed help finding something. Icing on the cake was some adolescent brat who was shopping with her father and a very obnoxious puppy dog. The bastard just barked like stupid at everyone it saw, and the snot nosed kid just put on her best shit eating grin the entire time. So to sum up, no tarp, just a waste of time and being barked at by some asshole with a non-service dog that the employees allowed inside. Strike One! On my penultimate visit, I was looking for some rust remover, in particular Evaporust™, but could not find it to save my life. I finally ended up asking for help from some deer-in-the-headlights employee who just stared blankly at me until I repeated my request. He then directed me to the lawn care aisle. You can't make this shit up folks. Never did find any Evaporust™ because they do not carry it at all. Strike two! Finally, I tried this evening to find some 3" long, 1/4" x 20 tpi hex bolts. Pretty basic stuff, yes? So I venture to their fastener department and, after wasting 20 minutes to figure out where they've hidden these, I mercifully find them. At this point I realize there are no bags and no pens and no means to actually purchase loose fasteners. The entire fastener section has no bags for labeling and pricing screws, nuts, bolts or what have you. Not one, not anywhere. So at that point my only option was to hold them in my hand while I finished shopping and memorize what I hoped was the right SKU number I would need at the register. It's worth pointing out, there are no instructions anywhere to indicate if you need the SKU-looking number, or the other bin number they seem to have put on everything, or both, or neither. In any case, realizing I also had to deal with 100% self check outs at this store and would probably have to beg someone to ring up these bolts for me, it took all of two seconds for me to decide "fuck it," and leave empty handed. Strike three! I did try to call when I got home and speak to a manager, and express my displeasure about not being able to do something as simple as purchasing fasteners at their store. I was put in touch with Anthony, the "Service Desk Supervisor" who assured me there were bags there last time he checked, which he conceded was 6 hours prior. He then tried to explain that you don't need bags or SKU numbers and that there should be numbers cast into the heads of the fasteners to identify them. There were no such numbers, but there are symbols to indicate what grade of bolt (but not length, pitch, size and certainly not price). He also made it a point to tell me there were also bags in other aisles, like the plumbing section. Why the fuck should anyone have to wander the store looking for bags? What comes next, begging you to take my money? Oh wait, we already covered that (see above). Furthermore, why is someone who obviously never bought a fastener in his life, serving in any managerial capacity in the first place, much less lecturing customers instead of, I dunno, perhaps apologizing for the shit customer service experience and trying to make it right? I asked for the district manager's contact info, but Anthony refused and directed me to a national customer experience hotline, more or less telling me that maybe those people would give a shit, because he obviously didn't. I'll be calling tomorrow to share my experience with the store's GM personally, along with the district manager afterward. As I often find myself saying, it's not hard to get this shit right. In the meantime, I am still in utter disbelief that it's this impossible to buy a fucking bolt at a Home Depot. read more

I will NEVER order or recommend ordering online anything from Homedepot the cancellation and return process was painful. I placed an order Friday tried to cancel that same day I was told cannot stop the order its to late. I have to wait until Monday. I called Monday 8 am and I was told I cannot cancel the order because I waited to long. My only option is to wait for the item to be delivered only to call back to request to return the item wait until the item has been picked up and received back by the vendor then my refund will be processed and the refund will take 3 to 5 days after that. My son was crippled in a horrible accident. I needed my refund to order for me to get the correct chair. read more

Lately we have been doing a lot of renovations to our house and we come here at least 3 times a week. Today was the best visit we have had by far! We needed carpet for a room we just built and we had help from Leticia an 11 year veteran!! She was so nice and personable and really listened to what we needed and to top it off she had my two kids (6 and 9) assistants and helped her roll the carpet. They were so happy and she was fun to watch. And at the end she was telling the kids come back when your 16 and I will hire you! They lit up and now want to work at Home Depot, so sweet! Home Depot is a fun place to shop, but when I was here recently I received great service, too. So it gets to be my 100th review. First, Frank loaded the heavy item I was buying into my cart. Then he told me that if I was going to buy a bag of sand, I should request a trunk liner so when the inevitable trickle of sand came out, it wouldn't go all over the place. So he saved me from having to vacuum out the trunk. Thank you, Frank! Then Antonio located a giant piece of tan paper and put it in the trunk. He loaded the bag of sand into the vehicle for me, and carefully wrapped up the bag so there was no chance any sand was getting into the carpet. Thank you, Antonio! I appreciate the care these gentlemen put into their everyday, workaday encounters with anonymous strangers who need their help. read more

I went to get some blinds and my trip turned into a nice outing. Austin, in the special ordering department was SO helpful that I ended up getting a quote for all new flooring as well. Such a nice young man that had NO other help and the line was piling up on him. He was so pleasant to all the customers and was willing to put his lunch on hold to help everyone out.
