In addition to the hole torn in my rug by their delivery men, the 2 Voss reclining sofas were of poor quality. One had a bent frame on the bottom front edge and therefore the leather edge band detail appeared crooked and the other sofa did not line up where the 2 seat cushions met together in the center. Unfortunately, we found them to be very uncomfortable as well. They didn't recline very far back and we both nearly slide off of them in the reclining position. Luckily, they have a 14 day return policy and we were able to return both of them. read more

The second I walked in I knew I'd found my place for furniture. I came looking for a dining room table and found so much more, I came in on a whim after so many failed attempts at other furniture stores around the valley. I was greeted instantly by multiple people, all with a smile and all were so welcoming. I explained what I was looking for and janet explained to me how their store is set up and what to expect. I loved that they set it by style/design and do not just group tables and such separate. It was so much easier to picture everything in my space because they grouped things together to make a livable space visual. I was quickly drawn to four different tables and it made it so hard to choose from. Ive been looking for a sold wood, sturdy and durable table for what feels like forever and they had so many. I finally felt like I found what I was starting to feel was unattainable in this day and age. Prices were higher than other stores, but only because it was definitely way better quality and worth it. The decision was so hard and we were in the store for well over an hour mixing and matching chairs and going between different tables trying to decide on our perfect table. We got sidetracked a few times by the beautiful couches and chairs. I know where I'll be in the future. Our salesperson was so amazing through the entire experience and answered all questions we had. Even offering up extra info such as a table we were looking at had a larger version and how some of the tables worked with different leaflets etc. once we finally decided and purchased we were shown available delivery days and chose. We were told we had 14 days to love it or return it with a 10% restock fee. If there were blemishes or damage at delivery we were also advised to let them know and to keep the furniture until the new one arrived so we weren't without . We were also offered water as we shopped and I loved that. The store was so beautiful and very clean. Again, I felt as if I was in my own home the way they brought the style to each design instead of grouping the same pieces all together. Rather it be more modern, contemporary or rustic they had it all. I loved the colors and pairing of items. There was also a good selection of wall art, lighting options and even mattresses for purchase. I think for the first time in the history of living on my own I felt 100 percent secure with my decision. I am so excited to see this table in my home. this fall my partner, I entered Scandinavian design in Glendale looking for ideas of updates in furniture. We were greeted at the door warmly, and allowed to walk through the store and make some decisions. We were so happy to see an excellence selection of sofas and recliners, and also lamps. We were shocked to find the same couch that we owned in a different state and another home on the floor. We were able to place an order and make arrangements for delivery of the couch when we would be back in town. they were very accommodating and I am sure we'll meet our expectations of delivery when back in town in a couple of months. New store with some unique modern furniture and decor. A nice clean classy appeal when you walk through the door. Today is day 3 of a soft opening. I drove by not even aware of the place and the furniture caught my eye. Kindly greeted by Tracy she gave me the history on the store and showed me around the place. After buying a new residence, it was time to find new furnishings. The first item on my list was to replace the Ekornes Stressless chair that I had years ago and the only place in the NW valley to get one was Scandinavian Designs. I walked in, told Michelle what I wanted, and she ordered exactly as I wanted it. Delivery was prompt and the chair was properly put together [the assembly is not easy for those unfamiliar]. I put together a list of what I liked and have bought a sofa, a loveseat, dining table, dining chairs, dresser, nightstands, accessories, and lamps. Most contemporary furniture is not to my Mid-Century taste, but if you want well constructed furniture that has after-sales support and parts if needed [beware of places that sell one of a kind or closeouts], S.D. is likely to have something you like. The staff are all helpful, as is Todd, the manager. The store is clean and well ordered. If you grew up during the Atomic Age, the Space Age, or love those eras in design; take time to visit them. Over the past year we have purchased many items for our new home. Beautiful and sturdy products include: Dining table and chairs, bar stools, entry table, love seat and even a metal art sculpture for our living room wall. I was putting together an office for a client who wanted a contemporary & modern look for his new office. Scandinavian Designs came to mind immediately. It really is a great furniture store with some beautiful pieces, especially the stressless collection. They are made in Norway and have such great quality & comfort. It just so happens to be my favorite. They have everything from furniture to rugs, lamps and decor. They have several locations and are in 13 states. Right now if they don't have something in stock they can usually pull from their LA or nearest warehouses is what I was told. We ordered several pieces and only 1 was back ordered. Again I can understand since COVID-19 a lot of furniture places are on back order because of the pandemic. They are really nice however could use some more help on the sales floor. Make no mistake, the products sold are top quality; however, the store management (store policies apparently) is seriously flawed. Had the store been willing to address our very simple request we would have very likely done significantly more business, but because of their utter refusal to work with us we're not only returning a $9k purchase, but we won't be coming back. The furniture is expensive and with that one expects a similarly high standard of willingness to work with customer needs - particularly if it is a very simple and straightforward request as was ours. Really bad business decision was made and I simply cannot recommend - there are other high quality, similarly designed, products in the market that we've found with customer service that shines.
