We stopped into Modern Manor after having an awesome brunch at Valentine. This was a nice way to…read moreget a post meal walk around the shop after all the food we had. In general I enjoy looking at vintage shops, and there are many interesting, unique items here. I noticed there are some really cool, great mid-century modern furniture pieces here, which I love, but not at my price point. Great to admire though. There were also other vintage items such as art pieces, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and some random things. I didn't think I would buy anything, but I found a cute southwest metal wind chime that had a nice patina after years of exposure. It is embossed with "1989, The Metal Man". I hung it out last night and it looked great against a beautiful sunset. It has a gentle chime sound, compared to come other chimes I have it. I love it. Definitely worth taking a stroll into the shop before or after a meal at Valentine. Never know what you'll find.

We had such a fun time trying out the restaurant and then going directly into the shop to do some window shopping before heading home. They have everything from jewelry and clothing to records and cassettes, dishware, furniture, decor, and so much more. Items are cleaned up, and the shop is nicely organized. My daughter purchased something and the owner was very pleasant and friendly to deal with. Check out is located at the desk in the center of the store. Prices seemed fairly reasonable. Some items were a little less and some more than a normal vintage or thrift shop.

Beautiful, absolutely BEAUTIFUL Every kind of plant you could want. Inside and outside are gorgeous. The plants are on the higher side but they are taken care of beautifully and it is an Experience you don't want to miss! We bought a banana plant kit that I thought would be fun. Stop by and spend a leisurely afternoon at Pueblo. J took the best care of us.

Anyways, super cute place with a lot of plant themed gifts and items, and of course, a lot of plants! While I'm not looking for more indoor plants I could not resist getting a healthy prayer plant. Small but I thought a good deal at $12. They also had some really tempting haworthia but I had to say no as I do not have my current indoor plant menagerie under control. Excuse to go back in the future! I went mid-day on a weekday and was able to get street parking easily. It might be harder during certain hours. This spot on Grand has really gorgeous planters - and the shop is across from Novel ice cream and like a 2 min walk from Grand Ave Brewing, so if you time it right you could support multiple local businesses!

Just two weeks later, on September 14, the motor that controls the recline function failed. The chair would go up, but it would no longer go down. My first frustration was that I couldn't reach a live person and was forced to file a warranty claim online. Although I was able to schedule service, the earliest available appointment was 10 days later, on September 24. The technician arrived as scheduled and was courteous and professional. Within minutes, he confirmed that the motor had failed. Unfortunately, he did not have a replacement part and had to order one. He could not estimate how long that process would take, only that someone would contact me. A few days later, I received a message stating that the motor had been ordered and that delivery would take 4 to 6 weeks. Needless to say, my wife and I were extremely disappointed that a brand-new recliner failed after only 14 days of use. I attempted to contact customer service through text messaging, since speaking with an actual person by phone was apparently not an option. I requested that Living Spaces consider replacing the recliner rather than making us wait up to six weeks for a repair. I was told my request would be forwarded to the warranty department. Five days passed without any response. I finally visited the store in person to speak with someone directly. After explaining the situation, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy shown by the customer service representative. Customer service should involve more than simply reading account notes; it should include understanding the customer's frustration and attempting to help. I asked if a manager could review my request for a replacement recliner. The representative returned and told me that Living Spaces had already offered a resolution, specifically replacing the motor, and that nothing further would be done. To make matters worse, I noticed my claim had been marked as closed, although I was assured I would still be contacted when the part arrived. My issue is not just the defective motor. Products can fail. The real problem is how difficult Living Spaces makes it to get assistance. There is little to no human interaction, and the process feels heavily automated with very little concern for the customer's experience. At this point, all I can do is look at a recliner sitting in my living room with the footrest permanently extended and hope that the correct motor arrives within six weeks and that someone actually calls me when it does. Based on this experience, I have little reason to consider Living Spaces for future purchases. **Danny Rivera** ---
