So, the prices are a little higher on most items in the store. The trade-off is that you can ask anyone who works here where to find something, and they will walk with you to the item's location. They'll also ask if they can help you look up some obscure part number for your sprinkler system. The girls working the registers are always friendly and helpful, too. If you need a key made or some paint matched or something for your yard or a tool, Ace is so much more convenient and well organized than warehouse stores are and the service just wins. read more

It's an ACE - which means employees who actually know where specific items are and will lead you to them or go get them for you. I have learned to head to this Ace Hardware store instead of the nearby Home Depot whenever I have a unique home repair project. The service team is readily available, they listen, and are knowledgeable. Paul is my go to guy and he has yet to fail in helping me address and fix a problem. Plus, Ace seems to carry a parts inventory that is unique when compared to Home Depot. However, I also like the fact that the Ace team will send you to Home Depot if they think Home Depot can help. Funny thing is the nearby Home Depot team will also send you to this Ace store if they cannot help you!! Great team, great inventory, great service! And free popcorn!! read more

This is as good as it gets. After a few weeks of frustration with the new screens for my house that did not fit my windows when I got them home....along came Cody, working today, and he had the magic fix. He personally came out to my house and measured the windows and said that he would be back before the end of the day with screens that fit. A+ store with great customer service. Ron went above and beyond his store duties in order to help me with my request. Not only did he help me identify the particular size and type of automotive fastener needed to hold the aging and warped plastic panels of my trunk's interior in place, but proceeded to engage in the demanding, physical, labor of straightening out these panels to make them fit as originally designed. He then inserted the fasteners into their corresponding holes in the panels without me having to ask. I only wish I could have tipped him! Paul, the store owner, was also very courteous and knowledgeable - particularly when it came to helping me find the particular kind of automotive adhesive for my car's upholstery. Upon further questioning, he was able to describe the differences between the 3M brand and Loctite, having worked with upholstery for years. Overall my experience with this store was fantastic, and my advice to anyone coming here is: if you have any questions, definitely do not hesitate to ask! read more

I enjoyed going here trying to give small business my business. Dropped off two sunscreens for them to re screen two Sunday's ago. They told me it would take four days. On the 5th day I called as I still hadn't heard from them. The young man on the phone couldn't find the screens and said they probably hadn't been started yet. Called back Saturday and screens still not completed. My wife goes in there now 8 days later. 3 younger men behind counter goofing around. They have no idea what she was asking for and said they had lost the ticket and asked her to tell them what they looked like and what was getting done. Totally unprofessional and not trying to resolve anything. Would not return for this type of service again. read more

This was my first time returning an item to Ace Hardware. I picked up a lockbox before heading to a house to take photos. I opened the packaging and took the box to the hose bib. The agent had already put a box on, so the one I purchased was not needed. I put it back in the packaging and back in the bag. I was driving to a different house a week later and saw an Ace Hardware. I figured I would stop in and take the lockbox back. I had the lockbox in the packaging with the reciept, in the bag. I could tell there was a problem right off the bat. I was asked what was wrong with it to which i said nothing, I just didnt need it. She started writing some sort or return slip and called over to a manager to have them override the return. She then noticed i purchased the box from a different store and told me they cant return it because there is a price difference. I only purchased from the other store bc it was close to the house i was driving to. What I have gathered is that at Ace you pay a crazy markup, then have an issue with an extremely outdated return process only to have to be further inconvenienced to take the item back to the original store either due to company policy or because the specific employee/store just doesnt want to deal with the hassle. I can now see how Home Depot and Lowes took over. read more

I would not recommend Arrowhead Ace. We took a screen in for repair 10 days ago and was quoted it would be ready in 4 days. Called today to check on the status and no one can find the screen. Now, I am out $50 and my original screen. When asked to speak with a manager, he passed me off to the same teenager that lost my screen. Horrible customer service! read more

Not Happy! I love that they offer the service of re-screening our sun screens but the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired. 2 weeks later we have 1/2 our order back, and even that isn't complete. We were to have an appt for someone to come and measure which that never showed for. After phone calls someone came, measured, said they would be completed in a week. I called day prior and was told everything was done. NOT! My 2nd order had not even been started because they require 1/2 down to begin. HELLO? We were never told that. We had a fully paid order still there from week before and would have been happy to pay. I'm 2 weeks into this, do not have all of my first set of screens back, my 2nd order hasn't been started and it's 95' all week. So angry. Never again!!!! read more

I would not recommend taking your scissors here for sharpening! I brought in my dress maker sewing scissors that needed sharpening. There were several older gentlemen working behind the counter repairing screens, making keys, etc. I thought my old sentimental scissors would be in good hands. When I picked them up, they didn't look different & didn't feel any sharper. I took them home to try them on my fabric. They were not any sharper at all. I also noticed they didn't put the nut on the back side to hold the two scissor blades together. I went back to inquire about that & if they lost it could they get one from this store (afterall it is a hardware store). The man took my scissors back, but instead of attaching a nut, he ground down the nub flush with the scissors! Now there is nothing to tighten them in the future. Plus he left some scratch marks and gouges. Because of their lack of expertise I ended up buying new dress maker scissors! read more

I have been here a couple times to get things that a hardware store carries, the guys in the store are very helpful. My complaint is the cash out process - unfriendly and not customer service orientated. On one occasion I wound up having to return something for a project that I ended up not doing- and the return process took a long time - I even had my receipt (cash payment, well within their allotted return time window). I was required to fill out some paperwork - on a cash payment! I felt like I was getting looks from the cashier during the entire process. Again, this is my experience; your shopping experience may yield different results. Good place to buy something if you are in a pinch. If you need to buy something and end up having extras, or your project plans change - go somewhere else (ie: big box store), where returns are less of a hassle. read more

Good until you try to return something. Buy a box of Christmas lights that's defective straight out of the box? Even if you tell the cashiers there are no more of the same item, they will make you try to find a replacement box in their store before they issue you a credit, making you lose your place in line when you return. The manager pretends the cashiers know more than he does. Support AFTER the sale gets repeat customers, Ace Hardware. You should know better, with a friendly Home Depot less than a mile away! read more

Staff was disinterested and needs some lessons in active listening. The "Services" desk was understaffed given that I waited for a few minutes for anyone to even show up at the desk (never did) and there appeared to be only two customers (including me) at the "Services" counter. Had to find one item myself because the person up front I asked didn't hear me ask for it as he was already directing me to the "Services" desk as I initially mentioned I had an in-store pickup question. Lastly, the girl who rang me up was splitting time between me and the personal conversation she was having with her co-worker (a co-worker who walked right past the "Services" counter without even acknowledging me or the other customer. All in all, not a great feeling from this place. I am willing to trade slightly higher prices for having someone available to assist me (unlike big box home improvement stores) so, since I didn't receive that from them, will look elsewhere going forward. This store is just amazing. It has everything you need for any repair or DIY project. From the tiniest bolt to some of the prettiest girlie decor. This is definitely a one stop shopping experience.
