Brought in a defective cable and they cheerfully replaced it with an up grade . So chill

We had looked at the website before visiting the store. The item was listed in aisle 7. It was, in fact, located in aisle 1. When I asked for help finding the item, the worker hovered staring right at us until we made a decision. With different brands/options, we were looking to shop around, but with someone right there staring at you, it's kinda hard to review all the info and compare prices to other places online. Had I known he was going to hover, I would've never asked for help. We ended up overpaying for something cheaper nearby. I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

Love having this store around the corner. They don't have everything I need always but the workers here are always great and their expertise is superb. A little pricey compared to the larger hardware stores but if you're looking for convenience, they've got you covered. read more

Went in for a door sweep go in often. Cashier says they are in garden section go wait by door she will have someone. 10 minutes later no help. This is par for the course last three times I have been in while walking out cashier doesn't acknowledge me another employee just hanging out doesn't say anything. Go out to truck look it up says I can order pick up and will be ready in 15 minutes walk back in store show the employee hanging out. His reply I'll go grab it for you. Comes back with completely different product. This place has gone down hill. read more

Have to take back everything I have said about this place. Usually snot nosed kids trying to help you but today took a propane bottle back that I was sure I purchased at Barrys but the store help (Matt) said that it was a different brand than what they sell (Blue Rhino) i am sure that i bought it there though. Any way he looked around a took a bottle off of their grill and exchanged for my bottle that I could not turn it on. Brought it home and it worked great could turn the valve on and off with no problem. He didnt have to exchange my bottle but he did cause he understands that I will be back forever now, because of a little gesture that saved my headaches and time chasing the other brand down. We shook hands and wished each other "Merry Christmas" and just old fashioned help from a neighbor like om the old days. read more

This is my go to shop for all of my handyman needs around the house. The service is always amazing here and you're treated like family from the moment you arrive in the parking lot. I had the best service from JUSTIN, I came in to get a chain and this man FIXED my electric scooter. Man he's a hero. You don't get service like that anymore! AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE ROD cut and looped my chain perfectly and was kind enough to help me out with some adjusting. Thank you guys. Shout out to CONNIE she's funny and personable. SMART. Great team, I love it here. read more

I love this Ace, the employees at this location are great once they see you a few times they become more helpful then they already are. The guys that work there know what they are talking about. My last project was a chicken coop, the recommended a few things I didn't think about and it turned out very nice. The thing with Ace is the selection of hardware. I'm a car guy I've got 3 classic cars and 75% of the time they have the screw, nut or bolt I need. It's close to my house, I've never been let down in a pinch. Employees are dedicated and know what they have and how to use it. They offer a military discount. read more

So I went in looking for wheel replacements for my shopping cart. An employee by the name of Ben asked if I needed help with anything. I said yes. I showed him the wheel that I had. and he said I don't think we sell anything that can fix that, but he offered to take my world to the back and see if he was able to adjust it. I waited for about five minutes when he came back with a piece and he fixed it for me. He went above and beyond to help me I really appreciate it. What he did to be honest with you every time I go into Ace Hardware I always get the best service, especially at this location.. Thank you for your help Ben. read more

Here I am again doing a review on an Ace Hardware Store. I went to Cy's Ace Hardware Store on Glendale Ave west of 19th Ave. This place always brings me back to the good days when you went to the hardware store and you found everything you need plus good customer service. I needed some nail and instead of buying a commercial brand I went for the bulk nails. They're weighted by the pound and cost less. This is a place that also has women shopping here not just for guys. Their staff here is very helpful and friendly. Just because of the location and traffic don't shy away from here. Try them out. Had to make a visit to Barry's Ace Hardware to pick up new air conditioning filters. Asked one of the employees for help to pull the air filters from the top. No sooner I asked up on the ladder and the filters were in my hands. While I was there I happened to remember to ask if they carried Milorganite, an organic grass fertilizer. The gentleman looked at me and said let's look out in back. Sure enough they carry it. I thought to myself, I guess I never think to ask. That's all you ever have to do when you're looking for something just ask. Especially this hardware store, they are so helpful and always have that look on their face like they know you have a question and want to give you guidance. Today was a good day as always. Sorry that I don't have pictures for you but, when you're looking for things you just don't take that moment to do something nice for a business that has terrific employees. read more

Really great customer service. All of their employees were attentive, down to earth, and knowledgeable. Will be back for any shopping need they can meet! read more

I am so impressed with this store and it's staff. They assembled and delivered two patio heaters for me (Same day delivery). There was no charge for either the assembly or deliver. One of the heaters didn't work because of a bad thermocoupler. So they assembled and delivered a replacement within a couple hours. I will go here before I go to Home Depot or Lowe's every time I can!!!!! read more

I came here for two kitchen cabinet hinges and was quickly helped by Norman. He approached me and asked if he could help me find anything. He found me; I didn't have to wander the store looking for help! Norman immediately recognized what hinges I needed and pulled them from the back of the store in less than two minutes! Customer service like that is incredible. The hinges I bought fit the cabinets perfectly! I've had similar experiences at other Ace hardware stores in the past and It's why Ace is my first choice for any hardware I need. Ace has things in stock that larger hardware stores often don't and the customer service at their stores is without rival. The customer service at Ace is unbeatable and truly is the place with the helpful hardware folks! read more

I can't speak enough good things about Matt at Barry's Ace Hardware. I went in for a custom window screen and he guided me through to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Great price too! My favorite thing about Matt was that when I asked for a new battery for my car fob he helped me out by putting it in, and then he noticed that the problem was also the circuit board inside it. He actually soldered it back together, glued the breaking plastic pieces, and saved me money in the long run!!!!! He never judged my broken fob, he just offered his help. If I ever need something I know who to go to. Matt is a wizard of the tool world! read more

Great selection and customer service. Perfect place to find all the items for your weekend fix-it list around the house. I can get in/out of here and finish my project in the time it would take me to find a parking spot at Home Depot, LOL! read more

I came to the store to try to support a local business instead of a big box store however I am extremely annoyed with my experience here! I was looking for a breaker and a gentleman who I asked for help couldn't find the breaker in the aisle so he said he was going to go look somewhere and disappeared, about 10 minutes to by and I had to search for someone additional to help to just say that they had no additional breakers in the back and the aisle was all they had. I wasted a ton of time trying to get help when It turned out that the guy was not actually going to try to find a breaker for me, but instead he started to help other customers .. so I was left standing there wasting my time. Poor customer service and poor communication on their end. In additional one worker was apologizing to another worker for losing his temper with him when I was standing there waiting to ask for help. This was a very discouraging visit so I don't think I will be back to this Ave unfortunately. read more

Barry's Ace Hardware - Cars new key cut and programed here for a fraction of a lock smith's. - Hardware Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This is my local HW store and I've always been happy, but yesterday they went above & beyond. I was costing a new key for my daughters Acura and they gave me a number. I thought it was steep so I went home and called Acura, which was (not exaggerating) 8x more expensive. I called a local locksmith who bid me higher than Acura so I went back to Ace. They cut & programmed the key and I didn't know they closed at 6, but stayed a few mins late to make sure everything was good. I'm from a tiny town and this place has the feel of my home town hardware store. All it needs is a bunch of ice and black, crusty snow, biting black flies and a severe alcohol problem and I'll be back in MN. Thank you. read more

5 stars! There are two locations and they are both amazing! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and they always seem to have exactly what you need. Definitely beat the competition to a pulp. When I would have to go to Home Depot or Lowe's there was ALWAYS someone working with an attitude. I felt like I was the super bright bug light and the attitudes were the bugs. I hate going for that reason! Oh and if you just so happen to be looking for a bug zapper or literally ANYTHING, you have to check out this store or their True Value store at 12th st. and Northern.. you won't be disappointed. And if you are, welp then I don't know what to say. You're probably the issue then. read more

Barry's Ace is the epitome of an old school no-frills hardware store. They have everything you could ever need, and if they don't they can either special order it for you or direct you on where to find it. There is a reason Ace is known as "the place with the helpful hardware folks" and at Barry's they take customer service seriously. Barry, Logan, and the team always provide excellent customer service. I've gone in looking for everything from fertilizer to paint to novelty items like Dot's Pretzels and have always left a satisfied customer. If you're looking to support a great family run local business, look no further. read more

I love Ace Hardware. It is like an old-fashioned hardware store; not like your big box Lowes or Home Depot. It's small and quaint and the same four people work there every day. And, if you go in enough times, I suspect it would be like walking into the Cheer's bar -- where everybody knows your name. The fact is, Ace Hardware has just as much stuff as those other huge home improvement stores. They just don't carry as much of a selection or stock as many items. Nevertheless, every time I have some sort of home repair need, they always have exactly what I'm looking for. You walk in, are greeted by the friendly cashier and asked what you are looking for. And just as quickly as you can say "thingamajig," they show you were it's at. Now that is what I call service. No need to stand around waiting for someone to help you or go searching the entire 50,000 square foot store for one small item. Nope, like the jingle proclaims.. "Ace is the place!" And, by golly, it is! read more

Very helpful. Needed a new battery for my key fob. Person didn't know how to do it - nor did I. Yet she YouTubed it and we figured it out. Then she opened the darn battery packet - those things are hard to open. She approached the whole situation as a challenge to learn and with fun. Definitely will go there again if I have hardware needs. :) read more

Best ACE in the valley! I'll fight you if you say other wise. I've been coming since I was lik 5 years old! The ppl have changed and the name has changed almost 4 times ...Berry's, Charlie's..i dont remember. But what has not changed is the friendly service. I have a soft spot for jovial and sarcastic employees. Probably because that is the kind of employee I am. The resounding implications of happy employees is a quick indicator IF I will return or not. The product maybe sub-par and the place could look a little torn up...but the ppl get me every time. I am sure I am not alone in this. Thanks ACE! R\_ read more

We brought in a custom screen and Matt helped us figure out how to attach it to the window with the use of grommets and magnets. He is a real pro, super resourceful and responsive too. So then I brought in some garden tools and kitchen knives to be sharpened and he took extra care with everything. So I bought several products while I was there because it's great to support a true local place that does great work. Thank you Matt! read more
