On my 2nd and 3rd visits I needed a new phone charger, storage box and broom. The staff is excellent answering all questions. Manager Jacob does an outstanding job running the store. It's clean, very well organized, has everything I wanted(even coffee filters). This is the best hardware store I have used in Phoenix. read more

They have the most limited selection of everything! Hardware selection is under par compared to others in the same area.

2 people working in the whole store. Have to wait 20 minutes to get spray paint. Horrible management. Will not return

I've never had a issue at this store, but today I decided to stop by after the gym to grab some hardware and was immediately chased down by an older gentlemen who told me I needed to put my gym bag up front. I am well into my 40's, fully employed, not a kid or a homeless person. It rubbed me the wrong way so I opted to leave. No one wants to be treated like a shoplifter especially if you've been a loyal customer in the past. It just looks bad. No wonder people prefer to shop online. read more

Almost always have terrible service at this location. No one cares. Very, very slim selection in areas I need. So sad to see the employees in such a dour, helpless mood. I'm done here... I said that before... and then I came back this evening. This is my last time here. Ever. read more

Had a pest problem in my apartment and was able to drop in here like 10 minutes before closing. The employee pointed me straight to the aisle I needed and grabbed an extra item in time to cash out. Store was spotless and with all the signs, super easy to see where everything is. Prices were same as your typical home improvement store. Customer service was awesome though, and that's my biggest take away read more

I am surprised at the three star rating. This is a high-quality store especially as it comes to customer service. Their prices are not always the best, but being able to direct you exactly to what you asked for has a price all its own. read more

Been here a hundred times in the past five years. since it is so close (7th St and Bethany Home Road). They have just about all you need to make sure your house is up to par with repairs or remodeling. No vet discount would make it a better place to visit but for a five-minute turnaround for that perfect electrical plug or can of paint or tool is not too bad. Big box stores are nowhere near this location. read more

Yesterday was my first and absolutely last visit to this store. I had two keys made, and predictably, one didn't work. Perhaps the girl couldn't comprehend that I wanted all the keys to match, but that's hard to do when she's more focused on her AirPods than the customer. The staff here are utterly untrained and act like a bunch of indifferent high school kids. One girl was lounging below the register, engrossed in her phone, and I was nearly run over by a careless young man in the walkway. Train your staff, Ace Hardware!!!! read more

This Ace is the only Ace Hardware that does not offer a veteran discount. Their selection is limited. Their employees do not seem to understand their company's values. Comparatively speaking, the P.V. and north Phoenix locations have a broader selection, offer more knickknacks, and most importantly, honor active duty military personnel and veterans. read more

Picked up some supplies for my house. It took me a while to find a few things, but after wandering around long enough I found what I needed. Decent pricing for what I needed and happy workers. read more

Cashiers are great nice and friendly, very welcoming. I Came here to try an return a set of sockets that I bought that same day. Allen the manager was a big jerk saying he doesn't return tools. I understand policy, I get it, I didn't know but now I do, thanks. You don't have be a jerk. I seriously will avoid this place from now. just because of the way he spoke to me over a dumb 16 dollar set of tools that I thought was the right ones for the job. Don't take them back that ok that's not why I'm upset. Don't disrespect me as if I should have known. For being the manager Allen you could use a class in customer service. Big thumbs down to Allen. Ace Hardware - Receipt - Hardware Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Worst Ace - I recommend going to any location besides this one. All the employees are teenagers except for the manager who is the grumpiest, most unhelpful human ever. They did a color match that was incorrect and when I returned to have them adjust the color, the manager refused saying there was nothing they could do. So what did I do? I went to the Ace on Indian School and guess what -- they had no problem correcting the color for me. AND they were pleasant and helpful! Avoid the Ace on 7th Street unless you prefer terrible customer service. read more

This place sucks. One of the employees knew nothing and mansplained to me multiple times. For example, I asked him about a specific product and he called me out for mispronouncing it slightly, but he then proceeded to use multiple different pronunciations and did not know what it was or where it was located. They also do not have paint cards in stock. Go to Barry's instead! read more

Always willing to help and give useful advice. Great staff and Lucile is the best! Best local hardware store around the area. read more

This is the worst Ace hardware you could visit if you're trying to get some thing immediately. If you have time I suggest you go elsewhere, perhaps even a depot! This place is over priced, lacks expertise and has poor business acumen! I dislike the store because very few of the assistant are actual experts in the department they work in. I have assistance (DIY) items that they have suggested only to find out when it didn't work and when I tried to return or exchange, they would never take a refund or an exchange. I have ordered paint that they have missed mixed, and I had to get stern and perhaps even belligerent to get a refund even after taking a picture of the mismatch paint job. The only thing I've been able to successfully do at this hardware is make copies of keys and even that cost me over $10 for two keys. I have spent too much money that has not been refunded here. And I do not feel that the staff is skilled to be manning the department they work. can I suggest you go somewhere else where but definitely do not come here! read more

Horrible experience at Ace Hardware, 5555 N. 7th St. #106 Phoenix, AZ 85014 Color match nightmare. I returned to store after discovering color matched paint was wrong color. The mgr, Jeanette Edward's was extremely rude and confrontational. No apology and she informed me that "discount " price paint could not be returned, although I had not been informed at the time of purchase and this policy was not in writing. She hurriedly did another color match, I paid for the new paint and discovered that the color was again incorrect (this time too light). I had to cancel the Airbnb photographer appointment and forfeited $120. I witnessed the store mgr treating other customers and staff in an equally rude and disrespectful manner. read more

At this location -every employee was a teenager - and the full 10 minutes we were there- they were popping plastic bags. Imagine if a customer was a veteran with PTSD or someone who had a heart condition. Will the manager please provide the bare minimum of training for the employees at this location? Your current and future customers would appreciate it. read more

I live in the neighborhood and it's my go to place. Today I stopped in and greeted by a very nice young man that asked if I needed help. Yes please!! Told him my dilemma ( with photos) . Called for someone to assist. Along comes Ed. What a delight to meet this man. He knew so much of what I needed and gave me alternates as well. Walked out with my items to return home and begin my project. What a great establishment. Love the Hawaiian shirts and Aloha spirit!! Thank you Ace hardware! You are truly our neighborhood hardware store!! read more

Eddie is not the man. So sure of himself, he did not care to look for my propeller fan motor. "We have it" he assured me 3 times. After i repeatedly asked him to look, since i had been to 3 stores already. Upon arrival he shows me 2 wheel fan motors.... Complete fail and waste of my gas and time. A simple check would have saved me the time and gas and you another 1 star review. read more

Very unhelpful. They have multiple items on there site that they are completely unaware of having in store. For items they do have in store, staff is unable to answer basic questions about. Save your time read more

Whenever I can shop at Ace even though a little bit more money it goes to a local business this one I will never go into again I was hunted down and ask to leave the store because I did not wear a mask I declare Aswan in that I was ADA compliance I could not wear a mask and they proceed to be vulgar rude. Thankfully they let me finish my purchase and got the hell out. It a sad day when people treat their customers this way read more

I was greeted with a "welcome to ace" and asked if I needed assistance finding what I needed right when I walked in the door. The staff is on point at this ace hardware store. I got everything I needed for my drip irrigation and found a bonus great deal on some in ground pool supplies. Great place, great prices and exemplary service. I'll be back! read more

This is the worst ace out there! I just moved into the area and was glad there was an ace so close to my house. After 3 visits to this store I now know that I will never go back in there ever again! This store is ran by a bunch of kids that you have to go hunt down if you want help then the chances of one of these kids actually being able to answer a question huh! Ya right good luck ill drive to home depot. read more

It is time to update my review of this Ace near my home. The owner of this Ace Hardware has really turned around the attitude of his employees. Yes, I may pay a bit more here than if I drove to Home Depot but it sure saves time. I walk in their with some strange requests, I admit, but they will work with me. I am an artist and buy parts totally unrelated to what they are made for, often enough. The latest was to find something that I could put around the base of my umbrella so it wouldn't fly out of the umbrella table when we get some good winds. (The last one ended up in my neighbors patio. They helped me to find something I never would have considered and I walked out happy. The main thing is they usually ask you for help when you first walk in the door. They will also, at the front, get someone to come and help you find what you need. This is a great time save and example of good customer service. It never fails to amaze me as well the little things they will have that I don't expect. I like just wondering in their to see the different things. One peculiarity of the owner. When it says they close at a certain time, they do. If they say they close at 6 pm and you get there at 6:35 pm, they will be closed. THat's not a complaint on my part. Just something, I think you should now at Yelp. read more

I'm a huge Ace Hardware fan but this store is the worst one I've ever been to. 90% of the time it's teenagers only working there. It's hard to find an experienced adult. They also need training on customer service as I've had a bad experience multiple times. read more

I this store. They are so helpful and go out of their way to help you solve any household issue. My personal thanks the Ed (the manager) and the other young guy (Treet, I think). They helped me customize a light switch. Although it was a small item... It was actually a big deal for me. Thanks! read more

I go to Ace hardware when I am lazy and do not have to drive all the way to Home Depot. I like Ace because I can get what I need and leave right away. The staff are okay, they are not the friendliest, they look like they hate their jobs. It's like they don't want you to ask for help. read more

Tim is unbelievably nice. I had to put a license plate on my car and I didn't have bolts, when I couldn't find one that would fit he helped me then realized that one of my attachments was stripped. He then proceeded to rethread the attachment and bolt my license plate to my car. All in 106 degrees!! He wouldn't even take my tip, said it was his job to help. Went above and beyond and really made my day :) read more

This Ace Hardware was amazing overall. I was looking for some help to paint a spare bedroom in the house. It was pretty busy when I came in, but after a few minutes and employee came over and helped me get the right materials. He walked me through the process got me all the right materials (painters tape, brushes, rollers, etc). It was more expensive than like Home Depot, but super helpful. Recommend read more

Normally this store is pretty dam good... but tonight... WTF? Normally the staff fall over eachother to assist and they know what they're talking about. Good stuff.!! Normally... but ..tonght while buying caulk.. I asked the wrong person for assistance. I'm not sure if I caught her off guard with my stupid question " Could you please help me with some flexible spackle or caulking" or if it was just a bad night for her... WOW... lady... get out of customer service.. SOON! I'll still go back here as normally they have most everything here... and its not a big ordeal like the homedepot thing, and 99% of the time the staff is really really great! read more

Turning the closet into a safe place! I love this small little hardware store and they usually have what I need. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that usually the help is too busy gabbing with someone that they don't realize there are several people standing around waiting to ask them a question. I've waited patiently several times now, only to give up and go find what I need on my own. read more

The best help I've ever had in a Hardware store! This place is SWARMING with staff willing to help you. All of them wear goofy red Hawaiian shirts so you clearly know who is there for your benefit. The place is medium sized but they always seem to have two registers open, basically insuring that you are in and out in a very speedy manner. I don't know why you would shop anywhere else ... nothing against Home Depot but I'm done with you. Service is king! read more

DO NOT GET KEYS MADE HERE! I am so annoyed with this Ace. I moved into a new place and needed to get keys made. The cashier paged someone and after waiting about 15 minutes I headed toward the exit, then he finally arrived. I had 5 keys made, 2 didn't fit. Went back to have the 2 fixed, 1 still didn't work. Ugh! Fast forward a year later and keep in mind my deteriorating memory, I once again had to get keys made and returned to this location. I got 5 made, 2 didn't work (sound familiar). When I went back to get the keys fixed the woman who helped me told me it is not usually the fault of the people cutting the keys, but the calibration of the machine. She assured me the machine was just calibrated so we should have no issues. And guess what? One of the keys STILL doesn't fit. read more
