After three years of South and West sun, erching doves, pigeons, sparrows, mockingbirds and others, The gate is rusted. After a various week, I found the original shade of paint, on the can. It was buried in the shed innards. DE matched the original shade perfectly. Paint on the steel fence is a bit faded, and rusting. The sample is used up, time for a gallon. They regularly have 30% off sales, often enough that you can wait for the next one. I'm not a paint expert but the paint looks good and meets my needs. I also used the Color Consultant service and someone came to my house to help pick out colors, which was a great help. The cost is $95 and you get $50 back in a store gift card. One bad thing about the industry is that some people need a long time to help and some people need a short time to help. Maybe you just need a brush and some tape and you get stuck behind someone getting 5 different colors for a project. They can't have 10 people on staff standing by but being able to order online and just come in to pick up would be a good option to get around this problem.

I told myself I wasn't going to get anything unless something truly called out to me... and, well, it happened. A Nanouk caught my eye (and heart), and now it's settling in at home with me. Their outdoor plant selection is broad and vibrant, though I'm not the best at keeping outdoor plants happy, so I admired from afar. Inside, the houseplant section had a good mix of some plants you see often, but also a few rare and interesting ones I don't usually come across, including some unique philodendrons and a couple pothos. The indoor area is on the smaller side, so when it gets a little crowded, it can feel a bit tight... that's probably my only minor critique. That said, the overall vibe was welcoming. I appreciated being greeted when I came in and then left alone to browse when I mentioned I didn't need help. That balance matters. The prices were fair as far as my knowledge in cruising through plant aisles and sections. Nothing unreasonable from my perspective. I'm glad I stopped in, and I'd definitely come back once I and my new Nanouk get to know each other a bit more. All in all, a peaceful and worthwhile plant stop.
