Dirty Martini
Kamali F.

This is a beautiful restaurant right on the water with great indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is really pretty too. The customer service was great from check in to table service from Kalil. There were some hit and miss items that we had, but the Cajun Branzino was so delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ordered the mussels and the sauce was creamy which was not expected was not appealing at all. The wedge salad was super fresh and tasty! We also ordered All the Bites and everything was good except for the bacon wrapped dates. I'm not sure what they were stuffed with, but that should be noted on the menu. We were not a fan. Dessert was decent. The lime pie was beautiful decorated and the sorbet was to be expected. I'd definitely return for the fish.

Lower taste than what I remembered from 2022. Service was lack luster as well. It was great sitting outside until it got too hot. The key lime pie as the birthday perk was a nice touch. Their grill punch was good and the espresso martini with baileys was perfect!

Very vast menu. The cocktails are excellent. They specialize in martinis. The "dirty little secret" martini their basic house martini is surprisingly high level! It's way better than any other high end martini I have had at other martini specialized bars. Food is great quality. The crab fondue is perfect for 2 people to share. Excellent service. Chelsea goes above and beyond! Definitely a 1st class bartender. My wife and I like the low key lighting and atmosphere. Bar seating is plentiful with views of the water. They offer happy hour and dinner specials. Outdoor seating is available when it's warmer! Lastly, They have allagash white beer on tap! I usually go for martinis while I am here. But one day, will make an exception. This is a solid place for a local to frequent.

Half chicken, part of their $39 daily special!

Very nicely decorated restaurant located in the Wharf. They have a special going (I think) from 4 - 6 pm every day for $39.00: you can select from a limited menu 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert. Awesome deal! I got a side salad with their house tomato vinegar dressing, the half chicken and a trio of ice cream scoops. Everything was seasoned well, I would say that the chicken tho was very dry. Service was great! I would check this place out for that daily deal alone. IYKYK!

The food is really good but the place is pricey for lunch. I had the house made vegetable burger with sauteed cauliflower with pine nuts. My dining companions had burgers. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. The menu is varies with something for everyone. The dining area is on the nicer side and right on the wharf.

I met up with a girl friend of mine who I haven't seen in months. We enjoyed the grill punch, while munching on spicy tuna bites and splitting the grill burger. The environment was quiet -- perfect for a girl friend date -- even romantic date. The staff were friendly...I would say they probably weren't as attentive even though the bar was pretty empty...though my friend and I were chatting up a storm. So many they didn't want to bother us. Overall, great experience. I would definitely go back for happy hour again.

I stopped by The Grill at the Harbor while visiting The Wharf, craving a good steak. I ordered the New York Strip, cooked medium-well, and while the price was steep at $51, I was really in the mood for steak, so I went for it. The ambience was very nice relaxed and upscale without being too formal. The crowd was minimal, which made for a quiet dining experience. My server was polite, though not particularly engaging or attentive. The steak itself was decent, though not necessarily memorable for the price point. That said, this seems like a great spot for drinks at the bar especially if you're already walking around The Wharf and looking for a place to unwind. Overall, I'd recommend this spot more for cocktails and atmosphere than for the food alone unless you're really craving steak like I was.

We love the Grill and make a point to go very often. The atmosphere is upscale casual (appropriate for the water front in DC). Enrique is our favorite bartender (happy hour at the bar on sundays). Jacqueline is one of the managers and she leads a great team. All are attentive and care about providing a great experience. The food is quality and the Grill punch does not disappoint. I enjoy the lamb skewers, calamari, seasoned fries, burger (all on the happy hour menu). Outdoor seating is available and the bar is great too. We see families and brunch goers or couples -- it seems to work for all. We love to support good restaurants and businesses and the Grill is great!

So, this is just another restaurant /bar on the District Wharf, that being said the food was quite tasty. The Mussel's .... they were mouth watering fantastic and what made it so good was the white wine, blue cheese, chipotle, cream sauce that they were soaking in. The Lamb kabobs with very tasty. The Grill Burger was good. Overall, really enjoyed our time here. Staff was great, especially David, our server. He was very attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We would stop here again and try their grilled upside down pineapple cake.

Amazing happy hour! We tried the crispy tuna rice, oysters, crab deviled eggs and a few martinis. Pretty good prices especially being on the wharf and we received great service in the bar area.

Food was great. Came here for thanksgiving. Ordered the Branzino with crab cakes and the Mac n cheese and double baked potato. Everything tasted great. I had a spicy margarita with mezcal. Wish it was a larger serving. The service was great. Ambiance was good as well. Is come again.

I went to The Grill for dinner last night and had an incredible experience. The weather was perfect, so we opted for outdoor seating, which added to the vibe. Our server, Natalia, was attentive and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. I started with the Grill Punch--it was huge, super refreshing, and the grilled mango garnish added a delicious twist. My date and I ordered the Mixed Grill special ($79 per person), and it was well worth it. It came with about five starter bites--the bacon-wrapped dates and fried cheese were definite standouts. For the main course, we had a medium-rare ribeye, two lump crab cakes, and grilled shrimp, all paired with their chimichurri sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We chose the grilled sweet potatoes as our side, and they were absolutely to die for. We finished off the meal with the pineapple upside-down cake--massive and insanely good. The Grill never disappoints. I can't wait to go back!

We had a 5/5 experience at The Grill today. I enjoyed the veggie burger and herbed fries. It was a great day to sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather. The service was nice and prompt. I think we overall had a good experience and liked the food a lot.

Incredible Experience - Ask for Eliseo and Matias!…read more We had an absolutely phenomenal lunch at the Fogo de Chão at The Wharf, and it was entirely due to the incredible team work of our server Eliseo and Gaucho chef, Matias. Our server, Eliseo, was incredibly attentive and kept the pace of the meal perfect, but the highlight was our Gaucho chef, Matias. From the moment he arrived at our table, it was clear he was a master of his craft. He cuts every selection so elegantly and treats the meat with real respect. We actually found out why he's so skilled: he used to be the meat chef at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen just down the street, where he prepared all the cuts for their famous Beef Wellingtons. That level of expertise really shines through in his work here. Matias took the time to explain cuts of meat to us, and his knowledge of the different meats is top-tier. What impressed us most was his attention to detail--whenever we mentioned we wanted a specific piece charred a bit more, he didn't just say "okay," he took it and charred it for us immediately. He is by far one of the best Gaucho chefs I've ever encountered. A huge thank you to Matias for paying such close attention to our needs and making this a truly special experience. We will definitely be back!

My parking cost $29. FOOD and SERVICE: Our dining experience was very rough from start to finish. The server kept forgetting our drinks. I ordered the Gold Rush and my friend ordered a glass of Malbec. He brought just the Malbec. About halfway into dinner I asked him to cancel my drink. My friend ordered a refill on the Malbec and again he forgot. So I asked him if he was going to bring the refill and then proceeded to clear glassware off other tables before bringing the glass of wine. Instead of having 4 drinks on the bill, we only had 2 drinks and it would've only been 1 if I hadn't reminded the server. Also after we turned our cards to red we kept being interrupted and asked if we wanted meat. We also asked for our check which took some time to get and then more time to actually close out delaying us a few minutes past 2 hours. I found the food just ok, it just reminded me of why I don't come here. My friend visits Fogo de Chao often and he said the Penn Ave and National Harbor locations are much better!

The pros- the scallops were the best dish I've ever eaten. Perfectly seared, buttery, with a pea puree and pancetta for texture. Truly exceptional. The beef Wellington was perfectly cooked inside, but the sauce was too thick and crust too salty. I didn't love the oysters, but they were okay. Highly recommend to try chef ramsays dishes!

When we arrived it was very busy however the wait was minimal, approximately 10-15 minutes. The table setting and ambiance was very nice. Everything went downhill after our orders were taken. The waiter did have our cocktails brought out quickly but our entrees did not come for two hours. Needless to say, everyone's food was cold. The food was so disappointing that it should have been free. The steaks Filet Mignon, Ribeye and Beef Wellington were tough, dry and cold. All the sides were cold too including the Brussel Sprouts, Potato Purée and Macaroni n Cheese. Some guests said the Lobster Risotto and Chicken taste good but was cold. The only saving grace was the customer service, and delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding cake. The manager named Raspberry was extremely helpful and gracious. They also gave us complimentary desserts. Unfortunately, this is my second dining experience with Hells Kitchen and most likely my last. We dined at the Las Vegas location as well which was also disappointing. The Wharf location really put a damper on our celebration dinner. I know this dining experience would not meet Gordon Ramsey's standards.

I enjoyed Herb Roasted Branzino with a side of Garlic Truffle Cauliflower. I asked for a mocktail with mint, and Eli executed it perfectly. Everything worked out perfectly for my Valentine's Day dinner though because I left with a to-go bag of chocolate cheesecake and a separate order of chocolate covered strawberries. Both were delicious even after a couple of days in my fridge because they were already so freshly made. The chocolate cheesecake is out of this world. Not because we were enjoying ourselves. Because we spent the entire night chasing down our server, Elena. It started early. My friend, a Native American attorney, asked a question about the menu. Elena didn't answer her. She turned to me and asked me to explain the menu item to her. A grown, accomplished woman sitting right in front of her. That's when we realized what was happening. She assumed my friend didn't speak English because she's an older brown woman. That's not a miscommunication. That's a assumption rooted in bias. It set the tone for the entire night. We ordered Wagyu steaks. Expensive ones. Two of us ordered medium rare. One ordered medium well. We received the opposite of everything. No one came to check on us. We had to physically hunt Elena down to flag the problem. Management eventually agreed the steaks were wrong, but only replaced one at first. We had to flag him down again for the second. We told Elena at the start that food and alcohol needed to be on separate checks for business expense purposes. Simple request. She brought one combined bill. Then when she finally separated it, the comped drink that appeared on the first bill was suddenly back on the alcohol check. When we questioned it calmly and asked for the manager, she got an attitude, walked away, and stood with other staff pointing at our table. We asked for the manager twice. He never came. She grabbed my card in a rush without taking the other person's card for the separate alcohol bill. More confusion. More waiting. The food, when cooked correctly, was fine. But no steak is worth three hours of being ignored, talked about by staff, and treated like we were the problem. Elena made it clear from the first interaction that she had already decided what kind of table we were. That's not a service failure. That's a character failure. I'll be calling management tomorrow as well. This needs to be addressed.
