We stopped by after seeing a play @9pm. Tuesday night, so we found street parking. Place was large & beautiful The bar area was pretty full, but we found space behind a beam. The staff was attentive to us and our needs, that was so nice - esp being so late and sitting behind a "beam" We ordered off the Happy Hour menu. Queijo Assado Gluten Free: Blistered cheese, malagueta honey. SO GOOOOD! Lamb Lollipops* Gluten Free: Lamb Chops, Mintchurri sauce. ENOUGH FOR TWO. FLAVORLESS. MEDIUM. THE SAUCE WAS MINTY, BUT TASTY Gold Rush: Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Tempus Fugit, lemon. FRIEND LOVED THIS AND ORDERED 2 Caipirinha: Silver Cachaça, fresh muddled limes, cane sugar. TASTY!

Outstanding service, everyone is very friendly and food was delicious! The drinks were on point too. I came here as part of a group of 8 people, dining on New Year's Eve. It was quite crowded and a a popular dining destination for the night, but we had a reservation so our party was sitted immediately. Josue was our server. He did a fantastic job tending to our table. We all went in on the "Full" Churrasco experience, which was roughly $69/person. It was well worth it, besides....When coming here you might as well go big or go home. lol. I've been to several Fogo de Chao locations around the DC area, Philly, and NYC. And, I can say..... everything about this location was top notch and up there with the best of them. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was extremely chill. We started with the salad bar which is included in the meal. The selection of salad items were excellent and everything was fresh and tasty. The veggies and entire spread is a meal in itself. I was also very impressed that the second we turned our food card over to green, the meats arrived at the table one after another. For the most part, the meats were delicious, tender and well-seasoned. We particularly enjoyed the filet mignon, lamb chops and the chicken wrapped in bacon! In all, a great experience and visit to this location. From the service to the food....you can't go wrong dining here. I recommend and give this location a double-thumbs up!

Great food and experience. This location is a short walk from the metro and The Wharf is next door. There really isn't a bad seat in the dining area. The service was great too.

Fogo: salad bar, cause I wasn't getting any meat

It cost me $200 for 2 people to have a drink and eat here, for the price it was underwhelming and 40 mins to get my drink and not seeing any decent cut of meat for an hour is a no go. 1. Reservation: necessary. It is a huge establishment, but given its location at the Wharf, it is packed. 2. Food: not good in a sense that I had to wait 30 mins just for anything to show up, and they keep bringing chicken or sausage.. I don't eat any of those ever. They hold out on the beef and before you know it, it's 1.5 hours and they want you gone. 3. Drink: took 20 mins to order and another 20 before I could get it in my hands. 4. Service: They try to be nice, but if I don't get any food or drink for half an hour and have to ask for the usual items that come to the table such as the bread, cheese etc, it is bad service. All in all, I won't recommend this location. If you are truly craving Fogo, go to Tyson's location, at least they are better.

Terrible bar service!! I visited yesterday for happy hour. I really wanted to check out this new location as I love the Wharf and don't come to this area often! Well don't think it's new new now, but it's been under a year. They absolutely need to work on their service! I sat at the bar and was ignored for awhile. I mean at least 20 minutes and it wasn't that busy. The bartender (didn't get her name) eventually came over to bring a menu. I put in for a red blend. Just wine. No cocktail! Should be quick and easy right?! I saw her taking other orders and attending to other patrons. I saw her pour a white wine and had it sitting at the bar. Before she poured it she reached up to get the glass out by putting her pen in to scout it out. I get that it's high and she's short but wow! Then she looks over at me and came over with the white wine that was sitting there that I did not order. She apologized and said it's on her. I let her know that I actually didn't order that. I reminded her of my real order and asked to put in for some sliders. I got my wine but 30 minutes go by and still no food. Did she even put it in? In fact she disappeared for awhile and never said anything. I got the attention of another bartender, Gabriel, to let him know that I wanted to cancel the order of sliders. He was apologetic but I was over this place at this point! I'm sticking to the Pennsylvania Avenue location. Never been treated like that there or any Fogo! Please do better!!!

We had a work dinner the other night we had a party of about 20 people. I have been to other locations and I really enjoy the experience. Only issue was the service. They were not prepared to handle a table of 20. We had to ask several times for assistance by tje staff. We were never explained the menu options. It was also slow as they brought out the meat options. I would say they need to regroup and see what caused the slow service.

If you're coming to Fogo de Chão, come hungry -- and maybe skip breakfast. The nonstop parade of meats was impressive: perfectly grilled sirloin, lamb, and chicken. Every cut was juicy, flavorful, and expertly cooked by the gauchos. But honestly? The bacon at the market table stole the show. Sweet, rich, and perfectly crispy -- it gave off total million-dollar bacon vibes. I went back for seconds (and thirds) just for that alone. Service was authentic and attentive, and even with a packed house, the team made sure we were well taken care of. The ambiance is really great also!

This review is not about the full Fogo de Chão experience (like my previous, still unforgettable treat). Bar Fogo's All-Day Happy Hour, is its own delightful ritual thanks to a favorite friend who introduced me to this gem in the first place. The Wharf location always seems to have a nice low-key vibe, even when busy. The service is great, the servers friendly. I've been a number of times, and the Happy Hour lineup is strong enough that I hope to try everything eventually... though I keep running back to my favorites because they're THAT good. Enter, the $10 picanha burger. It's simple enough, but this is not your typical happy-hour burger -- this beef is rich, flavorful, and tender in a way that makes you rethink every regular burger you've ever had. I even ate it once without the bun just to taste the meat on its own, and wow!! The polenta fries? Hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned. The lamb lollipops? Unforgettable. Moist, tender, juicy--just hits the spot every single time. And of course, you must try (or ask for) the pão de queijo. These warm, cheesy bites of happiness are reason enough to stop by. At this point, it's not a question of if I'll be going back, it's now a question of when. And the best part is the happy hour is not only every day, it's pretty much everywhere. I recently enjoyed those lamb lollipops at their location near the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It's the same "Yum!" every time.

This location gave me the best Fogo de Chao experience in the DMV. From the host to the waiter and waitress, the managers on duty, the servers and the food itself.....everything was a 10/10. Every employee was willing to help and serve you, even if they weren't your first point of contact. The food was fresh, the service was phenomenal and the experience is what will have me coming back again! Thank you!

At this location, our group stayed in the bar area to take advantage of the all day happy hour specials. They had a good variety on the happy hour menu and the drinks and snacks I had were great. The staff was nice, but the wait times to receive some of the food that was ordered were pretty long, nearly an hour for a couple of the items. A manager took those items off of the affected parties' bills to rectify. The all day happy hour is a good draw, especially for the wharf, and the drinks were quite the highlight, I just wouldn't come here if I was on a tight schedule.

Great food with an amazing tentative staff that works as a team to take care of you. Delicious food and although the salad bar looked amazing and everything tasted great my only recommendation is to work on making sure to keep some of the offerings from giving a dried out appearance. Once again - amazing food

Fogo de Chão has brought their love of Brazilian churrasco to the Wharf, DC, opening their newest restaurant at the waterfront. I was so excited to be one of the first to check them out and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The restaurant is beautiful, absolutely stunning. Dinner options were all the prime cuts of meat (lamb, ribeye, filet mignon) and of course the chicken and salmon. We enjoyed the well stocked salad bar and tableside service of signature meats. The salad bar had fresh friits, vegetables and a brown sugar bacon that was to die for! I also enjoyed the rice and black beans as well. I topped mine off with the hot pepper sauce that was on the salad bar as well. To end the night, we had chocolate molten cake and tres leches. Parking at the Wharf street side and metered is always a risk. I would suggest you valet OR use the garage parking. Fogo de Chão Wharf, DC

When every dish lands and the vibes are just right, it's no surprise the seats stay full. Food: Aperitivos: * Dadinhos de Tapioca $18: Cheesy, light, and incredibly satisfying. The guava sauce was nice, but honestly, these stood perfectly well on their own. * Torresmo $18: Easily one of the top three pork belly dishes of my food critic career. Crispy, rich, and unforgettable. Pratos: * Peixe Cru $23: Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully composed. This dish set the tone for what turned out to be an excellent meal. * Frango à Passarinho $23: A playful elevation of fried chicken. The touch of honey added just enough sweetness without making it overly sticky. Churrasco: * Picanha Black Angus $41: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The farofa added just the right amount of texture to complement a beautifully cooked steak. Service: The chef's counter seats give you a front-row view of the kitchen in action. The chefs engaged with us throughout the meal, our server shared insights about Brazilian culture and cuisine, and a few surprise shots didn't hurt either. The hospitality felt genuine and thoughtful, the kind that makes you want to come back and bring friends. Disclaimer: These are my personal opinions. Unfortunately, the biggest issue here is consistently poor service. From the moment we sit down, we clearly communicate that we're not using the food bar and want to proceed directly with the table-side meats. Despite that, it always takes an unreasonable amount of time just to receive the red/green cards so service can even begin. That delay happens every single visit. Even once we're ready, we're often left waiting with little to no attention. What's especially frustrating is that the floor managers only seem to step in after we're visibly trying to get someone's attention--literally looking around and "cracking our necks" to find help. Only then does the service suddenly improve, which shows the capability is there--it's just not consistent or proactive. On our most recent visit, the experience was even worse. The meat rotation was limited, with mostly overcooked options (medium-well to well done) and a heavy focus on basic white meats. We had to specifically request cuts like picanha and ribeye, and those took an additional 15-20 minutes to come out. By that point, we had already spent about 45 minutes waiting, our child was restless, and our patience was gone. For a $160-$220 meal after tip, it's unacceptable to spend most of the time waiting just to get the items you actually came for. We kept coming back hoping for a better experience, but this was our last visit. There are too many other options at National Harbor to deal with this level of inconsistency.
