Easiest 5star review ever. This is a great sushi place walking distance from the Watergate Hotel. All of the food was delicious. The Sebastian was the best, followed by the Georgetown then the dragon roll. The white tuna nigiri was the best nigiri I have ever had. We also had a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Our waitress was super nice and very sweet. We did get there during happy hour so it was busy. They had some great deals for those sitting at the bar. We loved the inside. The lighting was good, and the music was great. The music was lofi bpm, if you're familiar.

Diversity is a must in our eating options !!! Love it !!

If you're looking for a cozy, intimate spot, where you can enjoy a great atmosphere in the shadows of Georgetown.... Then "Sushería" fits the bill perfectly. The service is on point while keeping their distance. The crispy shrimp tempura was actually a delicious dish that gave my taste buds a new flavor to ponder. And their drinks complemented the mood in every way. And if you're a hookah lover, you'll definitely enjoy good vibes the entire time !!!

I recently stopped by Susheria in DC and sat at the bar. The atmosphere was upbeat, and the playlist added a great energy to the space. Their cocktails were definitely a highlight--creative, well-balanced, and genuinely enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the drinks. Even while sitting at the bar, it was difficult to get consistent attention, and the staff seemed a bit disengaged. It didn't ruin the experience, but it did take away from what could've been an excellent visit. Overall, Susheria has a fun vibe and really solid cocktails, but the service has room for improvement. With a little more attentiveness behind the bar, this place could easily become a favorite.

Always pass by this place on my way to the movies next door and was curious. Made a reservation and was actually laughing at how dark it is inside. I'm talkin' ONLY a tea light lit at each table dark dark. Service got a little weird after my friend and I didn't order drinks, but our sushi was really fresh, flavorful, and YUMMY! We also were sat next to the DJ booth (like right next to- we could shake hands if we wanted) and losing 2 of our 5 senses was just too many for us. If you're up for a weird story, come on a Friday night and ask to sit next to the DJ lol. 4 stars for food but not service or atmosphere.

Celebrated my mom's birthday here last night and it was such a vibe! If you like sushi you'll like this place but if you aren't a sushi lover they don't have a lot on the menu that you would be able to order I had ceviche which was amazing, spicy edamame which was VERY spicy, a roll with ahi tuna tossed in a teriyaki sauce which I loved and a lemon drop with tequila I enjoyed myself but I probably would only come back for a special occasion

TENS ACROSS THE BOARDDDDDD! From the moment we arrived, the bartenders were attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They helped us choose some fantastic cocktails, including the Pisco Sour, which was refreshingly delicious, and the Lit Chi Martini, which was delightful of course. But the real highlight was the Amazonico Roll. Every ingredient in that roll was perfect, and it's definitely something I keep thinking about. Kisses to the chef for that one! We also got the calamari which was cool as well, not bad. The ambiance was also really chill, especially during happy hour. Despite the heavy rain that day, the place gradually filled up and the vibe was fantastic. The music was cool, and they even offer hookah. Overall, this is a super cute spot, even though you can miss it because it's tucked but I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu!

We had reservations for a late lunch or early dinner. We were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. Although we arrived during Happy Hour, we discovered that the special pricing is only available at the bar. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with attractive decor and background music. The wait for the waitress to take our orders was brief. As we requested, she brought bottled water to the table. Since we had drinks planned elsewhere, we didn't order additional beverages. We chose the Volcano rolls and California rolls, both of which were good options. The Volcano rolls were flavorful, while the California rolls were decent, representing typical sushi. The sushi was fresh, but we felt the prices were a bit overpriced for single sushi rolls; it seems you pay for the location, as the sushi was relatively basic.

Susheria in Georgetown is such a vibe -- especially on R&B Night. It's tucked underneath the bridge next to the movie theater, so it already feels like a hidden gem. The décor is beautiful: marble counters, gold chandeliers, and dark moody lighting that instantly sets the tone. It was girls night, so we started with hookah blueberry mint hookah (smooth and long-lasting), and for food I tried the Calamar Frito, Lemongrass Chicken, the Amazonico Roll, and the Churrasco Roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. The rolls were definitely the stars -- I'd order both again. Last but not least, their Litchi cocktail, which is Susheria's twist of a lychee martini, IS TO DIE FOR. Girls do yourself a favor and sub the vodka for tequila. The music, ambiance, and overall experience were perfect for date night or girls' night. Definitely adding this to my "DC spots to revisit" list.

A friend and I came here after work for happy hour and truly wasn't disappointed. Happy hour is only available at the bar and with limited seating, I would suggest getting there a bit early. The two bartenders, one being Nassin, were attentive and provided great service. We ordered a few rolls from the happy hour menu and drinks and everything was delicious! I would definitely come back to try their full menu but also really enjoy their happy hour offerings.

I really loved the sushi and vibe here but the saturday night music withthe DJ, possibly fridays too - lol you do have to shout across the table. So beware. There's also hookah available at tables. Its like sushi in the VIP of a club - but make it upscale. The churrasco in the carne and churrasco roll was so delicious but the chimichurri could do with some acid, idk more flavour. I loved my tenno roll as well! My friend had the margarita and was really impressed with the flavour. So drinks are great because my lychee drink did not miss either! Service was quite busy and a little hard to find at times due to the super dim lighting and loud music. I only wish they gave you actual glasses and not japanese sake size cups for the water. It was self pour but having to refill every 3 gulps, my hand was getting tired.

We arrived for Soul Wednesdays and the DJ was fantastic. The mixes were done right and the song choices were a great combination of new and throwback songs. The talented saxophonist kept the vibe lively and was a fun addition to the crowd. At the time of my arrival there was security at the door that required a copy of the reservation and ID. Hamza was our server - very attentive. The servers do a lot of multitasking and seem to have a good flow even for a busy evening. Be careful with what you see on their website - my friend was excited for their half priced bottle wines (we were there for a girls night) and they did not honor what was on the site. There are also a few items listed that they no longer serve. When you come, plan to have backup options. Food - The edemame could use a bit more salt. The seaweed salad was tasty. My friend had the miso soup and she said it was good but it didn't stand out. The shrimp gyoza would've been enjoyed more if they were pan-seared longer. We had various rolls. The Mate was delicious, my favorite from what I tried. The Churrasco had so much potato fries inside, we all agreed that it was too much carb but the ribeye was cooked well and had a nice flavor. The orders of nigiri were tasty. Overall a decent spot, the entertainment was on point. I would come back. Hookah is offered - $76 after tax. Parking is the usual for that area - you either luck up with street parking or find a garage and walk a block.

Great place to catch a drink. Nassim was our bartender. We had the Limo y Lima. It was DELICIOUS!!! Perfect location. Near the movie theater in Georgetown. Highly recommend it. Great service and great tasting beverage. Good ambiance.

I visited this spot during their daily happy hour (4-7 PM), which offers half-priced cocktails--a definite draw. However, the quality of the drinks was inconsistent and largely depended on which bartender was making them. While one bartender at the bar was attentive and crafted great cocktails, overall, the drinks were just okay. That said, for the happy hour price, the value was reasonable. Unfortunately, service left much to be desired, especially from the table staff. Sitting at the bar was a better experience, thanks to the aforementioned bartender, but table service felt inattentive. The ambiance was where things really went downhill. A live DJ was set up right next to our table, making it feel more like a nightclub than a restaurant. If you're coming here to enjoy a lively, high-energy vibe, that might be a plus, but if you're looking for a relaxed dinner with friends, it's a struggle. The music was overwhelmingly loud--so much so that my Apple Watch even sent a hearing damage warning. Conversation was nearly impossible. As for the food, it was decent but not exceptional. The sushi was good, and the rolls were slightly above average, but nothing particularly stood out. I did appreciate the art deco style of the place. It's like the great gasby dines here. (Hence the hefty prices) When factoring in the price vs. overall experience, my satisfaction level took a hit. Great for a casual, high-energy night out, where you get cocktails and apps at the bar. But there are a lot of other great sushi places with more value for your money.
