The Grill at The Wharf exceeded our expectations. We started with the oysters, which were impeccably fresh, clean-tasting, and beautifully presented--a perfect way to begin the meal. The mussels were a standout, swimming in a rich, aromatic broth that was so good it deserved every last piece of bread for soaking it up. For the entrée, the sea bass was exceptional. The fish was perfectly cooked with a delicate, buttery texture and crisp exterior, allowing its natural flavor to shine while the accompaniments complemented it without overpowering it. From the quality of the seafood to the thoughtful execution of each dish, every course felt well-crafted. Combined with attentive service and the lively atmosphere at The Wharf, it made for a memorable evening. We'll definitely be returning.
I've been here enough now to be able to rate the dinning and bar experience. For great service get a table and for mediocre service sit at the bar. The bartenders will pick and choose on who to ask for a card with. I noticed many occasions were some people aren't ask while others are ask immediately after putting in an order. The service is lack luster at the bar. While the service is amazing when getting a table. I would give the food a 7 out of 10. Pros: There's happy hour 12om-6pm at the bar but be warned of the service you'll receive. There really should be more eyes on the bartenders.
We came here as a late lunch early dinner combo. 3 adults 2 teenagers 2 grilled salmon 3 the grill burger While we only asked for one burger without veggies all of them came out without which was annoying. The fries were really good. We had a side of cauliflower and the mushrooms. The cauliflower could have used more flavor and the mushrooms were too heavy on the wine flavor. The place was very busy when we came in and service was a little slow but understandable. It's really nice sitting outside of the weather allows.
Great service, and especially a great steak and fries. The steak was well cooked, juicy, flavorful, and the fries were crispy and delicious!
The caviar chicken tenders were excellent for a lunch dish. Freshly made and a good size portion. We also tried the grill burger which was delicious. Service is always good as are the dishes and the interior is clear and open.
We dined here on a Saturday after exploring The Wharf. I booked a reservation for lunch, so there was no wait and we were promptly seated on the patio. Being as I seldom get weekend days off, it totally did not occur to me that it would be more of a brunch menu than a traditional lunch menu- which was totally fine. We were starving so we started out with the Three Cheese Crab Fondue as an appetizer. It was really good- and definitely really hearty. There was an ample amount of lump crab meat in the dip, so we definitely got our money's worth. If you love melty cheese and crab- you'll love it. The only downside was the bread was on the unimaginative side. To have a stellar fondue and have a meh bread to put it on undermines the dish as a whole. For my entree I got the Coconut Cardamom French Toast. This was a truly elevated FT variety and was a five-star dish all the way. It wasn't too sweet and was like something you'd get at a luxury resort. Service was fine. Our waiter was good and a manager came by to check on us. Since we dined on the patio, this is a great place to people watch, but just be mindful of the time of day. We were fortunate to have a table where we were shaded from the sun, but some of the other tables seem to be right in the blaze of mid-day. Overall the grill is a nice place and the food was very good. I'd definitely be back sometime to try other things on the menu.

Had a tasty dinner here! Pricey place but really good food with a nice atmosphere and friendly service. I very much enjoyed my lobster roll and fries. Also tried the salted honey rolls which were good.
Open airy place on the wharf. It reminds me of a beach restaurant. Nice large bar for happy hour. Even more seating outside on nice days. The food was solid. The portions were definitely on the small side. Especially the seafood linguine and king salmon. Service was friendly and quick.
Service was good, including needing help from a host to fix my clothes - thanks gorgeous!!! Gluten free is marked and has options. Definitely a good date spot, but also perfectly serviceable to meet new people - especially sitting outside or at the bar. The Grill serves up solid food and service. I visited on a very busy Saturday night with a reservation for 6 people at 6:30 PM. I tried the lobster roll ($39) and Cajun Branzino ($49) and both were good. The lobster roll was Maine-style -- cold with mayo -- which is not my preferred style, but it was still pretty good. The side of fries were great -- crispy and well-seasoned. I liked that the lobster roll had a specific price on the menu and not just "MP." The branzino was also very good. Everyone else had good things to say about their dishes, which included the clam chowder, seafood linguini, and caesar salads. Service was good but uneven in spots; there were some nice touches, but also a few misses. For example, they poured the canned beer for us tableside and remembered a guest's birthday with a small slice of cheesecake (free). But, they forgot crackers to go with the clam chowder, didn't deliver dishes to the correct people, and were a few minutes late bringing the last entree after all the others had arrived. It was a busy night, but also they should be used to that. We sat in the back dining area and the ambiance was fine.
I selected this place based on the reviews. There is valet parking, some street parking or a parking garage. We were able to get reservations which was nice and decided to sit on the patio. It was great weather to sit and chill outside and look at the water while enjoying lovely food. The service was great, our waitress was friendly, checked in and kept our water full. The pacing of food was good as well. I really enjoyed the crab deviled eggs. They were creamy and yummy. My filet was cooked perfectly and paired so well with the green beans and the sweet potatoes. The sweet potato sauce was so good. The chimichurri with my steak was nicely done. We tried the sorbet for dessert and got the seasonal options of blood orange and raspberry and it was a great way to end the meal. It was worth every penny.

The service was plush and punctual. I'm a pescatarian so I'm always looking for good seafood,but The Grill food was so on point,that I almost forgot I had to go to work after having brunch. The ambience was lit,cool air through out,although it was a 90 outdoors,and they have some great tasting wine and bubbly. read more

Craving steak. Got off the ferry and decided I wanted scenic water views and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is bright, airy and beautifully laid with ample seats. We settled on a clam chowder, buratta, petite filets, and molton chocolate cake. The chowder was a tad bit salty but delicious. Unlike most restaurants they serve a hearty bowl vs cup. I had to pace myself. The buratta was very earthy as the arugula was heavy but the sauce did lighten it up and give dimension. Now, that Filet was simply divine. Perfect flavor and so delicate and moist. I'm a well-done weirdo but ordered medium-well. It came out medium and was oh so juicey. It literally melted in my mouth. There was minimal seasoning. Yet, the whiskey-peppercorn sauce that accompanied it really added flavor. I'm a suckered for a good sauce. Definitely, worth my time. Top tier steak! Service was top tier. David was phenomenal. I stopped by The Grill at The Wharf during our afternoon around The Wharf and had an overall enjoyable experience. I tried the Mane Attraction ($13), made with Little Saints St. Juniper Lion's Mane Spirit, raspberry, honey, and lime. It was quite tart and interesting to try, but probably not something I'd order again. The highlight for me was the Happy Hour Today's Oysters. We had the choice between East or West Coast and went with the West Coast oysters, which I really enjoyed with lemon and mignonette. Carla also tried the Spicy Tuna Bite, which was a nice addition to our happy hour bites. Overall, a solid stop at The Wharf, especially if you're looking for oysters and a quick happy hour bite! read more

Very vast menu. The cocktails are excellent. They specialize in martinis. The "dirty little secret" martini their basic house martini is surprisingly high level! It's way better than any other high end martini I have had at other martini specialized bars. Food is great quality. The crab fondue is perfect for 2 people to share. Excellent service. Chelsea goes above and beyond! Definitely a 1st class bartender. My wife and I like the low key lighting and atmosphere. Bar seating is plentiful with views of the water. They offer happy hour and dinner specials. Outdoor seating is available when it's warmer! Lastly, They have allagash white beer on tap! I usually go for martinis while I am here. But one day, will make an exception. This is a solid place for a local to frequent. read more

Very nice ambiance with big open windows to appreciate the scenery. They do close the windows as the sun starts to go down so its not blaring in. Not photographed, I started with a hugo spritz. It was very fresh and fruity with slight sweetness making it refreshing. We also enjoyed the oysters with cucumber-champagne mignonett. This was my first time trying Beef Wellington. I enjoy prosciutto but the prosciutto they used in the beef wellington was overwhelming gamey. I disassembled the dish and removed the prosciutto and the dish became a lot more appetizing. The tenderloin had great flavors and juicy while the dough remained nice and toasted. The calamari felt tender, not chewy, and the perfect amount of sauce drizzled on top. Overall I would return to try a different main dish but would not change the rest of my order. read more
This is a beautiful restaurant right on the water with great indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is really pretty too. The customer service was great from check in to table service from Kalil. There were some hit and miss items that we had, but the Cajun Branzino was so delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ordered the mussels and the sauce was creamy which was not expected was not appealing at all. The wedge salad was super fresh and tasty! We also ordered All the Bites and everything was good except for the bacon wrapped dates. I'm not sure what they were stuffed with, but that should be noted on the menu. We were not a fan. Dessert was decent. The lime pie was beautiful decorated and the sorbet was to be expected. I'd definitely return for the fish. read more

Second time I've been here and it was even better than the first. Drinks were spot on, the cosmo blanco is so good and fun. We had the 'all the bites' appetizer for 4 and it didn't disappoint. The stuffed dates, and the deviled eggs were amazing. Dinner was Beef Wellington,superb, the burger was amazing, and 2 orders of the melt in your mouth Koji-pineapple Australian Wagyu Bavette. With grilled sweet potatoes which were exceptional. And the best part was our server Kristin, who we will request from now on. read more

I met up with a girl friend of mine who I haven't seen in months. We enjoyed the grill punch, while munching on spicy tuna bites and splitting the grill burger. The environment was quiet -- perfect for a girl friend date -- even romantic date. The staff were friendly...I would say they probably weren't as attentive even though the bar was pretty empty...though my friend and I were chatting up a storm. So many they didn't want to bother us. Overall, great experience. I would definitely go back for happy hour again. read more

Very nicely decorated restaurant located in the Wharf. They have a special going (I think) from 4 - 6 pm every day for $39.00: you can select from a limited menu 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert. Awesome deal! I got a side salad with their house tomato vinegar dressing, the half chicken and a trio of ice cream scoops. Everything was seasoned well, I would say that the chicken tho was very dry. Service was great! I would check this place out for that daily deal alone. IYKYK! read more
The food is really good but the place is pricey for lunch. I had the house made vegetable burger with sauteed cauliflower with pine nuts. My dining companions had burgers. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. The menu is varies with something for everyone. The dining area is on the nicer side and right on the wharf. read more

I stopped by The Grill at the Harbor while visiting The Wharf, craving a good steak. I ordered the New York Strip, cooked medium-well, and while the price was steep at $51, I was really in the mood for steak, so I went for it. The ambience was very nice relaxed and upscale without being too formal. The crowd was minimal, which made for a quiet dining experience. My server was polite, though not particularly engaging or attentive. The steak itself was decent, though not necessarily memorable for the price point. That said, this seems like a great spot for drinks at the bar especially if you're already walking around The Wharf and looking for a place to unwind. Overall, I'd recommend this spot more for cocktails and atmosphere than for the food alone unless you're really craving steak like I was. read more

So, this is just another restaurant /bar on the District Wharf, that being said the food was quite tasty. The Mussel's .... they were mouth watering fantastic and what made it so good was the white wine, blue cheese, chipotle, cream sauce that they were soaking in. The Lamb kabobs with very tasty. The Grill Burger was good. Overall, really enjoyed our time here. Staff was great, especially David, our server. He was very attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We would stop here again and try their grilled upside down pineapple cake. read more

This is an authentic American diner that serves up all kinds of everyday food. From steaks and hamburgers to wonderful Cesar salads. I came with a bunch of people from work, and I ordered a Mediterranean wrap with chips. Everyone else either ordered one of their salads or chicken wings. The vibe is definitely sports and there are btelevisions with World Cup FIFA games going in now. Our Sever was super helpful and she came back a few times to check on us. The wrap was filling and tasty. The place was a lot of fun to hang out in a Monday afternoon. read more

I went to The Grill for dinner last night and had an incredible experience. The weather was perfect, so we opted for outdoor seating, which added to the vibe. Our server, Natalia, was attentive and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. I started with the Grill Punch--it was huge, super refreshing, and the grilled mango garnish added a delicious twist. My date and I ordered the Mixed Grill special ($79 per person), and it was well worth it. It came with about five starter bites--the bacon-wrapped dates and fried cheese were definite standouts. For the main course, we had a medium-rare ribeye, two lump crab cakes, and grilled shrimp, all paired with their chimichurri sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We chose the grilled sweet potatoes as our side, and they were absolutely to die for. We finished off the meal with the pineapple upside-down cake--massive and insanely good. The Grill never disappoints. I can't wait to go back! read more

Stopped by for a coworker's retirement and they did not disappoint. The service and the food were amazing. The restaurant is located on the Wharf with a beautiful environment. We had a large group and everything came out timely and was well prepared. Definitely if in DC stop by for a good night. read more
