    Steak & Frites

The restaurant was big, cleaned; and bright. The servers were excellent! My steak & frites were delicious the frites were super crispy, flavorful no ketchup needed, the steak was juicy, flavorful, just a bit tough. The wine was SO GOOD!

Came to Circa for a holiday event, it was a great experience. The food came out quickly and was quality. Can't go wrong with getting the Circa Burger or the Fried Chicken sandwich. Some people told me it's their favorite burger or fried chicken sandwich, thats not my opinion, but they are good. The portion of fries you get are large, and they are crispy, which is exactly how it should be!

Circa is a great location for a casual date and outing with a small group of people. A little dark inside but you can navigate easily. Service is great and consistent. I only tried the entree salad which was descent. I had the mango blackened chicken salad that comes with ginger vinaigrette. I don't know if it is homemade but I recommend more ginger to taste. The portion size was a little small for the price but still good. Lower your expectations for HH on the food but the drinks good for house wine. I recommend to try this place.

Circa has a decent variety of options, from burgers to bowls. The Mediterranean bowl I ordered had a splendid array of vegetables, hummus, falafel and chicken (I'd maybe hope for a little more seasoning) but overall I enjoyed my meal and the service was great.

    Chicken Wings and Ceaser

Sat a bar, quickly greated. Dim lighting not so dark us old folk need a light to read. Ordered the wings and a Ceaser. Wings were well cooked and had a good flavor. Not really spicy. Ceaser had a crouton crumble on it. All good tasting.

I decided to make a reservation here before an event I was attended at the Nat's Stadium. I loved this place. I thought the decor was really nice, they played music but it wasn't too loud. Our reservation was at 3:45pm. We arrived a bit early but they seated us immediately. The calamari, steak frites and braised short ribs were all amazing and thus why I will be back. Our server, Kevin was great. My only disappointment was the dessert menu. I didn't really see anything that caught my eye. But absolutely check it out.

Third update and happy to report they nailed it. Previous experiences were less than notable and the management team reached out and apologized. They offered free goodies but I declined. Better to give a blank canvas review IMHO. Overall the server was spot on and knew the daily specials with great detail. He was enthusiastic and personable. Hummus was excellent. Flatbread pizza was perfect and the vegetarian salad was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. I am happy to give 5 stars and a ringing endorsement for Circa. Make a reservation as they can get busy and walk-ins can take a while to get seated.

The chicken paillard was fantastic while the Caesar salad was a little different than what I was expecting but still good. Service was good as we were greeted with a smiling server within minutes of setting down. Very close to surrounding hotels with a good variety of options.

Came in for a late night attack around 10pm. The burger was delicious and filling. Staff working behind the bar were friendly and outgoing. Thanks for a fun time!

The flat breads were so delicious. The waitstaff was extremely pleasant & knowledgeable. For a Sunday, this place was not crowded but I really enjoyed the calm atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

We were able to find parking on the street. The food was great and the ambiance is chill. Loved our server, will be back! Music was great as well

Wonderful experience! We had the back room booked for my best friends 30th birthday dinner. Our servers name was Merrari (I hope I spelled that right), super sweet and attentive kid! The blackberry margaritas are 10/10! I think I had 3 or 4 of them and they got better each time! The chicken wings were hot, spicy and packed with flavor! The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and not overpowering it was perfect! Now let me tell you about those brussel sprouts!!!!!! Multiple people had told me to get them before coming so I knew that had to be good but I was not expecting them to be over the moon fantastic. If you don't love bleu cheese then they aren't for you. I easily could have licked the bowl they were that delicious!! I had the scallops as an entree and they were plump, juicy, and well seared. Overall the best experience I've had thus far at a restaurant this year! I will most definitely be returning!

A great quick lunch in a convenient location in DC. Parking was fairly simple as it wasn't a game day so we snagged a spot by the stadium. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is large. There's also patio seating. I had a delicious chicken sandwich with fries and my friend had a salad. It was huge! My sandwich had the most delicious dill pickle aioli on it and the chicken was tender and crispy. Yum! Our waiter was attentive and quick. We were in and out! Great dining option when in the area.

Really enjoyed the local bass which had a crispy skin and was cooked at the perfect amount of tender. The cocktails were good and our server was friendly. The black squid ink pasta was good. The sweet potato pie was okay, potentially lackluster compared to the rest of the food. Loved the indoor / outdoor seating especially on a day that had beautiful weather.

I had never been before, and he was seemed curious to try, so we stopped by. They have outdoor seating, but there was no service at the time, which was too bad because the weather was outstanding. The host is said we could take drinks out there, but not food. So we just opted for the bar. Thankfully, they eventually opened one of the doors real wide so the outdoor air was coming in and that was nice. Happy hour was going until 6:30, and I have to admit that some of these happy hour prices are regular prices at other places XD, but remember it's the wharf. And there was a time when happy hour there wasn't even a thing. So I got a glass of wine and yellowtail tacos with salad. I wasn't expecting the yellowtail to be fried, but it was fine. The salad was way bigger than I thought it would be. It was good. My cousin got the burger and fries... I tasted it and I think I enjoyed the burger more, haha. That smoked cheddar, whew! I found the fries to be pretty average. The ambiance of the place is very nice and I could see myself returning. Some other people at the bar got some amazing looking dishes too, but I know they were expensive XD.

On my recent visit, I stopped by on a Wednesday at 6 PM. The place was pretty quiet since it was mid-week and there weren't any sports games nearby. We had some wine ($14/glass), stuffies (3 for $13), Waterman's Platter ($36), and Scallops (5 for $36). Everything was very good. The scallops were served with a nice autumnal sauce and brussel sprouts. Waterman's Platter was fried oysters, fish, baby shrimp, and scallops along with fries, onion rings, coleslaw, and dipping sauce. Everything was crispy and nicely fried. The portal was large enough to take about half as leftovers. We were celebrating a special occasion and they brought over two small glasses of sparkling wine (basically half a glass each), which was nice but also a bit tacky to not give a full glass. Like, I would rather you just verbally acknowledge it and do nothing than take a half-measure like that. We had a nice time but a few things could have been better. They were out of the beer I ordered, so I went with wine. The free sparkling was originally on our bill (and billed as a single glass) but the server realized this just before I asked about it and removed it. I was excited to get a milkshake for dessert -- they used to do massive, delicious milkshakes -- but apparently they stopped doing this about a year ago, so we passed on dessert entirely. They still have a 4% surcharge; c'mon, it's far past time to drop these. Prices overall are a bit high for fairly standard food.

Outdoor seating was full, so indoor seating was offered instead, which turned out to be a comfortable and pleasant alternative. The lobster roll was flavorful, though the bun-to-lobster ratio leaned more toward bread than filling (those who know, know). It was also served cold, which was a bit unexpected. The oysters were enjoyable, especially when paired with fresh lemon. They weren't the freshest or most premium selection, and the pricing felt high for the portion size and quantity served, but they were still decent overall.
