Circa continues to be solid and reliable! Awesome happy hour until 7pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's bar only, but the bar area is good sized.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The portions of food are large and the food is generally good. I still love the mushroom flatbread. My friend with celiac loves the baked chicken wings, which are gluten free of course. My friend who got the Mediterranean bowl said it wasn't her favorite but everyone else liked their food a lot. Shrimp scampi was also good. The bourbon drink in happy hour was delicious.

I went to Circa Navy Yard for a birthday lunch with a friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't very busy when we arrived and we sat at booth with a street view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were disappointed that during a holiday weekend there was no brunch. I did like that they offer wine in 5 or 9oz pours. We both enjoyed a 9oz pour of Rosè. We started with the Brussels which were definitely a bit undercooked and lacked flavor (not even salt and pepper). I had the chicken sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was huge, the slaw was meh. My friend had the chimichurri steak bowl. It looked amazing and my friend said was great. We didn't order dessert but they brought out a plate a caramel that read happy birthday (sweet thought, but definitely strange). It wasn't a bad visit just a bit underwhelming.

Yes. The food was delicious. The burger was juicy and seasoned so well. The fries were fresh as well as the toppings. It was a good, messy burger. The salad was absolutely delicious. The chicken on its own was a little bland but mixed into the salad it was perfect! Great amount of dressing and all the toppings were fresh and complimented well. We had mocktails and they were both refreshing! The service was phenomenal! Kevin took care of us and he was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and had such a great vibe! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were accommodating to our fur babies on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back again!

Old fashioned was excellent. The Brussel sprouts were delicious & hot. The blend of bacon, balsamic vinegar & blue cheese was the perfect combination. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere with tasty entrees![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was dependable.

This restaurant was within walking distance to the hotel we were staying, and the front desk host recommended it as well. It wasn't busy so we were immediately seated in a booth. We ordered the Calamari- it was very good My son order the Chees pizza and a scoop of vanilla icecream with chocolate syrup- he really liked it. My husband and I shared the Grouper Burger with fries- it was delicious! I hade the Vodka Mojito- it was also very good. We really enjoyed ourselves!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was big, cleaned; and bright.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were excellent! My steak & frites were delicious the frites were super crispy, flavorful no ketchup needed, the steak was juicy, flavorful, just a bit tough. The wine was SO GOOD!

Came to Circa for a holiday event, it was a great experience. The food came out quickly and was quality. Can't go wrong with getting the Circa Burger or the Fried Chicken sandwich. Some people told me it's their favorite burger or fried chicken sandwich, thats not my opinion, but they are good. The portion of fries you get are large, and they are crispy, which is exactly how it should be!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Circa is a great location for a casual date and outing with a small group of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A little dark inside but you can navigate easily.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is great and consistent. I only tried the entree salad which was descent. I had the mango blackened chicken salad that comes with ginger vinaigrette. I don't know if it is homemade but I recommend more ginger to taste. The portion size was a little small for the price but still good. Lower your expectations for HH on the food but the drinks good for house wine. I recommend to try this place.

Shrimp Scampi was so good ! Highly recommend.I

Shrimp scampi was delicious I would definitely order it again and the bread pudding was good, so was the Brussels sprouts, and bread.

Circa has a decent variety of options, from burgers to bowls. The Mediterranean bowl I ordered had a splendid array of vegetables, hummus, falafel and chicken (I'd maybe hope for a little more seasoning) but overall I enjoyed my meal and the service was great.

Sat a bar, quickly greated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dim lighting not so dark us old folk need a light to read.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the wings and a Ceaser. Wings were well cooked and had a good flavor. Not really spicy. Ceaser had a crouton crumble on it. All good tasting.

I decided to make a reservation here before an event I was attended at the Nat's Stadium. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved this place. I thought the decor was really nice, they played music but it wasn't too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our reservation was at 3:45pm. We arrived a bit early but they seated us immediately. The calamari, steak frites and braised short ribs were all amazing and thus why I will be back. Our server, Kevin was great. My only disappointment was the dessert menu. I didn't really see anything that caught my eye. But absolutely check it out.

Third update and happy to report they nailed it. Previous experiences were less than notable and the management team reached out and apologized. They offered free goodies but I declined. Better to give a blank canvas review IMHO. Overall the server was spot on and knew the daily specials with great detail. He was enthusiastic and personable. Hummus was excellent. Flatbread pizza was perfect and the vegetarian salad was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. I am happy to give 5 stars and a ringing endorsement for Circa. Make a reservation as they can get busy and walk-ins can take a while to get seated.

She gave us some menus, some glasses of water, and also told us some things about the menu. We saw that they had a bottomless brunch option that allowed us to get bottomless mimosas or margaritas until 4 PM. We both decide to go with margaritas. For an appetizer, we ordered the PICKLING + MD BAY SEASONED WINGS , which were absolutely amazing! The hot honey really brought out so much flavor in the wings. For entrées, my wife ordered the super lump crab cake omelette, and I ordered the hanger steak and eggs. My wife's omelette was full of crab and was amazing! My steak was seasoned very well and was flavorful! Both of our entrees came with circle hash browns similar to Chick Fil A's which are my favorite! The food was absolutely delicious! The bartender made sure we got our money's worth and constantly refilled our margaritas whenever they got low. We ended up having about 6 margaritas each. This was an amazing brunch deal. The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Overall, it was slightly worse than the diner downstairs. The food quality wasn't worth the price, which was unfortunate as we were looking forward to visiting Social for a while and finally went on a birthday. The ambiance is nice and chill but the tables are a little too high for the seats. We got the queso fresco pretzels, wagyu sliders, five napkin chicken sandwich, lobster lobster lobster pasta, flourles chocolate cake, and churros. The best bite was the bacon ricotta flatbread. The lobster pasta sauce was underwhelming and the desserts both tasted off. Service was friendly enough, but the experience still was a disappointment overall.

I've been to most of the spots over there, and this time I just wasn't in the mood for Mi Vida, Limani, La Vie, or Pink Tiger. I even considered Milk & Honey but didn't want such a heavy meal before the play. Since I already enjoy the Makers Union location in Arlington near my office, I figured I'd give this one a try. One thing I love is that they offer happy hour every day--including Sundays! I started with the Spicy Pineapple Margarita , which was refreshing with just the right amount of heat. We shared the wings to kick things off, and they disappeared pretty quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and had a nice kick. My dad had the salmon, and my mom ordered the lamb chops from the happy hour menu. I was pleasantly surprised that the happy hour portion was still generous and even came with quinoa just like the full-size entrée. We all really enjoyed our meals! The only downside was the service. Our server was very kind, but unfortunately he wasn't very attentive and seemed to forget quite a few things. We had to ask for straws three separate times, and when I needed extra salad dressing, I eventually walked over to the kitchen to get it myself because he stopped at several other tables before heading in that direction. I didn't want my salad sitting there getting warm while I waited. ‍ Price-wise, it's comparable to the Arlington location, which I appreciate. The earlier "Power Hour" specials are an even better value than the regular happy hour prices. The restaurant isn't as massive as some of its Wharf neighbors, but it's still a comfortable space with a really nice bar area that's perfect for grabbing drinks or a casual meal. Overall, I'd definitely return before another show at Arena Stage. Great food, solid happy hour, and a convenient location. If the service becomes a little more consistent, this location could easily earn that fifth star.
