You got your light lunch, your filet tips protein, on a plate full of super healthy, lettuce, baby tomatoes, avocado, grilled corn, balsamic grilled onions, marinated farro, chimichurri, champagne vinaigrette.. yum. Circa is a great location for a casual date and outing with a small group of people. A little dark inside but you can navigate easily. Service is great and consistent. I only tried the entree salad which was descent. I had the mango blackened chicken salad that comes with ginger vinaigrette. I don't know if it is homemade but I recommend more ginger to taste. The portion size was a little small for the price but still good. Lower your expectations for HH on the food but the drinks good for house wine. I recommend to try this place. read more

I decided to make a reservation here before an event I was attended at the Nat's Stadium. I loved this place. I thought the decor was really nice, they played music but it wasn't too loud. Our reservation was at 3:45pm. We arrived a bit early but they seated us immediately. The calamari, steak frites and braised short ribs were all amazing and thus why I will be back. Third update and happy to report they nailed it. Previous experiences were less than notable and the management team reached out and apologized. They offered free goodies but I declined. Better to give a blank canvas review IMHO. Overall the server was spot on and knew the daily specials with great detail. He was enthusiastic and personable. Hummus was excellent. I had the pleasure of eating at Circa this past Saturday for a Valentine's Day brunch, and I was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. As someone who eats out in DC often and has lived here for more than a decade, I have unfortunately grown accustomed to slow and sometimes unpleasant service, where the wait between ordering and receiving food can feel endless. Circa was the complete opposite in the best way. Drinks and appetizers arrived almost immediately after we ordered, the cocktails were well made, and the food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything felt smooth, attentive, and intentional. Our server was fantastic, but what really stood out was that the excellent experience went beyond just one person. The entire staff contributed to a welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable atmosphere. I have eaten at enough popular DC restaurants to know what typical service looks like, and Circa truly exceeded my expectations. I am excited to return again and again. The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and not overpowering it was perfect! Now let me tell you about those brussel sprouts!!!!!! Multiple people had told me to get them before coming so I knew that had to be good but I was not expecting them to be over the moon fantastic. If you don't love bleu cheese then they aren't for you. I sat near the bar area and it was not too loud or anything. I ordered a mimosa and the French toast platter. The mimosa was delicious. The French toast was different in a good way. It has a corn flake crust, almond granola, fresh berries, mascarpone maple cream. I asked for the berries and cream on the side as this traditionally doesn't come with the platter. The service has always been good and the place itself is cute with a standard American bar vibe. The drinks are well made and the food is solid - the wings, wagyu sliders and macaroni and cheese are all great and flavorful. My friends also really like the pretzel loaf. Circa offers a separate gluten-sensitive menu (which is available for brunch and dinner, with the same choices at all locations). I always have the grilled chicken wings, which are modified, slightly, compared to those on the standard menu. They were delicious. To accompany dinner, I had two Madras cocktails, which were strong and well balanced. Our seven-person party was served by a fabulous waitress. She provided us with separate checks at the end of dinner. Note that Circa applies a 4.5-percent service fee to its checks. read more

We ordered the tuna poke nachos, the Mac and cheese, blackberry margaritas and each ordered a veg quinoa bowl (hers with salmon and mine chicken, both blackened).
