    Ribeye Steak (half)
    John T.

Best Steak Ever! Stopped here with the wife to have dinner on our last night in the DC Metro area. We shared the Ribeye steak and mashed potatoes. This may have been the best steak I have ever had, period! Steak was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection! It had just enough marbeling to make it tender and juicy. The mash potatoes were creamy, buttery and seasoned so that you didn't want to stop eating them, ever. Hack, order the Pepper Aupoivre sauce for your steak and mash potatoes. It is so good! We sat at the bar and though the service started a little slow, it finished strong and we will be back for another "perfect" steak!!!

On 8/15/26 I took 7 family members to celebrate 2 birthdays at The Capital Grille in Tyson Corner VA. Only three have been to Capital Grille but in DC. My family was so impress with the great food, the staff, the music that was playing and the peaceful atmosphere. Kudos to our great waiter Mr. Lawrence Jackson and his servers whom were exceptional! My family are great tippers, when he saw his tip he couldn't believe it. Just to see the joy on his face, and that made our day even more joyful.

Hard to see in the dim light but these are the Mini Tenderloin Sliders

This is a great spot for lunch! We were so tired and hungry so we stopped here for a nice lunch. The space was dim and relaxing. Our server was so sweet and read off their specials. I decided on the tenderloin sliders and asparagus. My friend only wanted the lobster bisque and she ordered truffle parm fries for the table. The sliders were delicious. The steak was so tender and flavorful. I loved the simple asparagus. It was cooked perfectly. The fries were hard to keep from eating as well. I'm glad we got them to share. My friend lived her bisque. She said it was amazing. Overall we had a great experience and we would return again!

I love this burger so muuuuuch! It is a big wet juicy burger paired with fries and the best dang pickles! The crowd leans tourist and after-work happy hours, but I've recommended this place to many friends. I recommend indoor seating as the outdoor is a little loud. Underrated spot for one of the best burgers in the city.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, this place is amazing! The customer service was incredible! If you want the best service ask for Bill! He has been working there since they opened in 1994! The food was Ten stars! The atmosphere was incredible. I highly recommend eating here and will be coming back when we are in the DC area again.

A hearty thank you to Erin, Elsie and staff of The Capital Grille for making sure my family dinner for 30 went off without a hitch. Hubs and I went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon to get an in person vibe for this location. Talking to Erin was easy and she was supportive, professional and knowledgeable on what I wanted to accomplish for my promotion dinner. I had a group dining experience at the Chicago location in 2022 and they had a lasting impression on me. I felt that my family would enjoy that same level if I had my dinner here. There are options to have a pre-fixe menu or you can allow your guests to order from the standard menu. TCG has options for those with food restrictions and the pickiest of eaters. For the lunch and dinner dining, I enjoyed my food very much. The prices and quality of the food were appropriate and the staff were as responsive as we needed them to be. Handling a group of 30 can be a tasks for some eateries. Not here, they were pros and made corrections quickly without making things awkward for anyone. There were one or two people in my group that had a steak cooked more than they desired but my friends and family said that they now have TCG on their radar for their own personal dining options. If you are having a business meeting, there are rooms available that can seat up to 20 people. This location has two rooms but as my numbers increased for those attending my dinner party, it was best to do it in the main dining room. I can recommend The Capital Grille for group dining or for date night. The level of attention makes it easy to tip generously. Thank you to everyone who made my celebration great. Even the bartenders who helped hide my sister who surprised me...lol

I think this buffalo has a really good looking hair style. He's keeping a watching eye over the Buffalo Trace bourbon right below him.

BLUF: Excellent food and service with a parking garage near by. My husband and I had dinner at The Capital Grille on a quiet Sunday night and it was wonderful! We started at the bar which only had one bar tender who was totally hustling and trying to make up for what seemed like a staffing shortage. After staring down the huge glass jar of pineapples soaked in vodka, my husband decided to try the pineapple martini which was basically just vodka infused with pineapple juice. Since the taxidermized buffalo was staring me down I had a Kentucky mule with Buffalo Trace bourbon. After leisurely drinks we adjourned to the dining room where we loved our filets, mushrooms, potatoes, bread and coconut cream pie but the steaks were the highlight. They were super tender, slightly crusty on the outside perfectly cooked to our desired temperatures. The service was perfect including the host, bartender and our server. We visited during Government shutdown and it was quiet in town. We were able to get a parking spot right on 6th Street. (Capital Grille is on the corner of Pennsylvania Ave NW and 6th St.). There is also a parking garage right next door. The Capital Grille has a valet but I suspect it only operates during busier times.

    Congratulations are in order!

We love Capital Grille and since we wanted to celebrate a brand new journey with good eats, he picked TCG! As always, pick whatever you want! We went all in. Service is always impeccable! Ambiance is giving rich old money! And Food.... Well let's get into it! Biased as this is one of our favorite spots. Had a great experience at the Capital Grille! The restaurant has a "dark and moody" vibe, perfect for a romantic evening. Our server was excellent. Even though it was busy in the restaurant, he was extremely attentive to our needs. I ordered the seared scallop and lobster risotto l, but also was able to taste the filet mignon and several sides (creamed spinach and mashed potatoes$. Everything was incredible! The ladies I shared dinner with also enjoyed their meals, which ranged from steak to lamb to Brussels sprouts to cheesecake for dessert. Finally, the passion fruit mojito was a great 10/10. Not too sweet, and definitely strong! I know I will be back soon and I'm excited to try more of the menu!

We came here for our wedding anniversary. We were seated immediately and it was very pleasant, the quiet part of where they sat us was very pleasant, and our waiter greeted us with two glasses of champagne and threw heart confetti on the table which was too cute . They started us off with a huge basket of assorted breads like a baguette, matzo bread, dinner rolls, all different types which was awesome. We got the mini crab cakes for appetizer. I'm from Maryland and I always try a crab cake to just see how it compares to Faidleys crab cakes (iykyk ), and they were ok I'm a snob about crab cakes so don't take my word for it. I got the rockfish with pearl couscous which was good! The couscous was a Mediterranean flavor and it stood out and tastes delicious. My husband got the Kansas City steak, it was medium rare and to be honest it was okay. It was not worth the price I would skip the steaks unless you don't care about money and just want a steak. We were certainly full by the end of the dinner, and they surprised us with an anniversary tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake with happy anniversary written in chocolate. So cute. Definitely a date night restaurant or a special occasion type of spot mainly because of the price.

From the moment we stepped in we were greeted. We went there to celebrate a birthday. We were seated immediately and the table was decorated with birthday confetti. Our server was very attentive, and polite. The food came out in a timely matter. For an appetizer we had the calamari and it was perfect. The steaks that we ordered were cooked to the perfect temperature that we asked for. I was surprised that before we ordered dessert they brought out a plate that had cheesecake and the flourless chocolate cake that they wrote happy birthday on the plate and put a candle in. All the food was amazing.

If you go to a steakhouse and don't get a steak, were you ever really there? These are the mysteries of Yelp. On this day the spouse and I were checking out a few places to host an event. One option was The Capital Grille (TGC). The staff were very nice and answered all of our questions by showing us the various setups they can provide for the various number of guests along with menu options. Very nice staff and at no time did it seem like an upsell of trying to push certain unneeded options on us. Since we were there why not have lunch. It was a Saturday and surprisingly very empty there. Speaking with one of the managers, she mentioned that Monday through Wednesday was the busiest times due to its proximity to the US Capitol. Whenever I see calamari on the menu it is a must for me to try. I have to say fried calamari is a very hard thing to mess up and with this being TGC you have some expectations. The expectations were met. I am not the biggest fan of banana peppers coming with my calamari but at times it works. Glad this was one of those times. The menu is a bit scaled down especially for lunch time. Here is where the dilemma came to me. I wanted to try their steak, but I had it the night before and I am a burger connoisseur. The burgers here I believe are the same as at Capital Burger since they are owned by the same organization. Capital Burger gets great reviews, and I went with the burger (medium rare) with duck fat fries. The hype is real. The burger was cooked at a perfect medium rare with just the right amount of pink. Fries came out very hot. I was not disappointed by my choice as I see myself coming back here anyway soon. I have to say that wanting to go back to a place in the DMV with so many options here says plenty. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is great. Located within a 3-5-minute walk of the Archives-Navy memorial metro stop this is a great place to checkout.

My fiancé brought me here for a belated birthday celebration and completely surprised me with my ring! As we were seated, I excitedly told our waiter.... whose name, I believe, was David (forgive me if I'm mistaken; he was an absolute gem)--that I couldn't wait to have the coconut cream pie. After going over the menu with him, we placed our orders. When he returned, he walked right into the moment my fiancé was opening the ring box, and I was already in tears lol! A short while later, he came back with two glasses of champagne, our dinner, and an assortment of desserts to celebrate with us (see pictures - it's at least 3). To be honest, I don't even remember what we ordered... everything was absolutely delightful and delicious. A perfect 10 across the board for service, food, and ambiance. It was pure perfection. It made for great leftovers the next day too!! Maybe you'll see us again for our anniversary or birthdays this year!

Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. Highlights were definitely the shrimp scampi with focaccia and fries, with the goat cheese on bread as a close third. I liked the chili crisp salmon, but it didn't blow me away, and the portion size for $18 was so small. I did think the Parker house rolls were fantastic, and they came out piping hot, which was delightful. The mocktail option was also excellent! I really wish they would reconsider only having Baked and Wired pastries available in the morning- you only have one rotating cake option available for dessert, and it would've been nice to be able to enjoy more. I did not think the service experience here merited an automatic, unchangeable 20% gratuity. There's very minimal service- you are just brought your food and a water carafe. And while everything on the menu looked and tasted good, the tiny portions for items labeled as shareable didn't feel quite right. Buzzy but not overly loud, with stylish decor that sets the perfect mood for a relaxing brunch with friends or family. To kick things off, I had a mimosa and an iced latte. For food, we ordered the Escargots à L'ail (first timer with this!!!) It was six escargots swimming in a flavorful garlic parsley butter, with flaky puff pastry rounds for dipping. I was definitely nervous, but the flavors were rich without being overpowering, and the pastry added just the right amount of flavor. For the table, we shared the Warm Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese Ball served with honey and some decadent red wine caramelized onions. The combination of the creamy goat cheese, sweet honey, and savory onions was absolutely amazing. This was definitely a highlight and highly recommended for sharing.. One unique thing: they offer bottomless mimosas and bellinis for one hour. We don't see much of bottomless mimosas in VB, so I found this exciting. For my entree, I couldn't resist the B.E.C.C.: crispy bacon, creamy scrambled eggs (although I swapped in a fried egg), and gruyère cheese all piled on a freshly baked croissant, plus your choice of fresh fruit or Basque potatoes (the potatoes are great, by the way). It hit all the right spots. A buttery croissant, salty bacon, melty cheese, and the yolk from my fried egg just tied it all together. I found my food to be pretty good and my friends liked their orders. The wine selection is also very good. My order was pretty large though my friends' portions were smaller and I ended up being the only one eating as they finished and then the server grabbed their plates before I was finished. But what detracted overall from the experience was the ambience and service. Maybe because it was the weekend, but the restaurant is so loud you need to shout at each other. The cacophony of conversation, open kitchen, laughter, screeching and music just ruins it. The service is spotty. The gentleman bringing the food basically tosses it on the table and hopefully it slides to your place. Water is aggressively poured wherever the glass is even if they need to reach acrosss your face while you're speaking. Plus they grab your bread plate after appetizer even if there is bread on it and you want it. Apparently bread service is only for the first part of the meal. So food and drink was good, but overall experience was not. We decided we won't go back. BUT, it seems very popular so you will need to make that call. I suggest trying to get a table at the front of the restaurant.

The whole vibe is immaculate, with dark walls, dim lighting, and a great playlist, which all sets a very welcoming atmosphere. They have one of the best happy hours in town. M-F until 7, you can get incredible deals. You can get chicken or BLT sliders for $3.50 apiece, and reduced priced stuffed mushrooms, too. The $5 whipped feta comes with a big side of potato chips. These are small bites, but for very small prices. Food specials on a happy hour menu always get me excited. The chicken sliders were the consensus fave and will definitely be our go to. The drink deals are even better, though. I had a delicious old fashioned for just $7, and for round 2, the preparadas up is amazing. It is a bright red draft milk punch that is a little sweet, a little tart, with gin, lime, a touch of spice, and a sour candy garnish. Very fun, but very delicious, too. And it packs a punch. Plenty of other options are discounted, too. If you are reading this during the government shutdown, they have additional shutdown deals (available for everyone, all day), so it's almost like all day happy hour. Don't miss it!

I enjoyed their happy hour rosé and how spacious it was inside. Beyond that I also loved how kind the bartender was. Because I was staying in a hotel nearby, he gave me helpful and thorough recommendations on his favorite local places to eat. If ever I'm staying in this area again, I'd be sure to pop in here for a drink or two. Would definitely recommend it to others.

This is our first time visiting Washington DC, and we haven't found many great dining options near…read moreour hotel. We discovered this spot on Yelp. The moment the banchan (Korean side dishes) arrived and we took our first bites, we knew we'd stumbled upon an outstanding Korean restaurant. Every side dish is prepared authentically and tastes fantastic. Our first main dish to come out was kimchi fried rice with beef. While it isn't made using a fully traditional Korean method, it was absolutely delicious -- easily the best kimchi fried rice I've had in the past few years. We also ordered their signature pork and potato stew. It was excellent; the chili flavour was smooth, and every ingredient was wonderfully seasoned. Our server was incredibly polite and friendly, and we were happy to leave a tip for them. We plan to come back tomorrow evening, but unfortunately, our server told us they might not be working then. This Korean restaurant is highly recommended. If you're staying nearby or travelling in Washington DC, I'd strongly suggest stopping by to enjoy their wonderful Korean food.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Washington, DC and decided to give Mandu a try. The restaurant…read moreitself is modern, clean, and nicely decorated, making a great first impression. However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Unfortunately, that feeling turned out to be justified once we looked at the menu and tasted the food. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Now the review.. where on God's green earth in this day and age does an establishment that sells a hamburger NOT have an extra patty option??? The server was a good dude but told me each patty was an uncharted for an entire burger meal... my order is no bun, no fries, no salad and no fruit.... why the heck would I agree to 25 bucks for a patty as an add on... Ill pay the first hit as a matter of menu price but... not the same for just another patty.. I don't know what sort of vodoo happened here but the good staff figured it out and I got a couple of patties extra without the terrible fee... I did pay extra and thats great. Cant say ill come here again because without a standard approach, I cant say ill get the same price... standards matter. I get it Get on board please... this is not the stone age and we have technology... its also a very very common thing for extra protein.. This is not typical and id guess that less than 2% of the placedls I eat cant figure this out... DC was not a place I'd think would be stuck. Won't be eating here again for this week's stay simply because I dont want to have to wrangle the meal each time ... I just would like to eat and go.. Thank you for figuring it out late at night This is more for management... you got good food and good folks.. fix your POS please.
