A good meal The room is inviting. The service is attentive. Every plate was good but nothing stood out to be memorable. The Henri is a good location for a celebration dinner or meal before a show at the Warner Theatre (which is across the street).

We had a wonderful pre-theater dinner here. Love that our server Maritza was conscious of the time. Also loved the breadth of choices in the charcuterie -- Maritza was delightful, told us about the Pennsylvania farm (and farmer) where all the cheeses come from. The Branzino was fabulous! And I don't know how they made Brussels sprouts be soooo divine as a side dish! We also had the Mussels Mariners Frites -- which were cooked to perfection. I would recommend a bit more seasoning to the broth however, it was a little bland. Otherwise, a stellar meal overall!

Before going to see Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, I decided to stop by Henri because they had a Harry Potter-inspired menu, and it's right next to the National Theater! This place did not disappoint! The service, the food, and the drinks were all on point. I ordered the Elder Wand to drink. For food, I got the Nicolas Flamel Frites and Bertie Bott's Shrimp! The fries came with a delicious side of house aioli, which was a bit of a surprise since I'm used to getting ketchup, lol. The shrimp were amazing with their dipping sauce! The bartender was super friendly and held a casual conversation, we talked about all things Potter! lol I'll most definitely come back whenever I'm in the area.

This was my very first time trying this restaurant. My friend and I were in search of a restaurant near the National Theater since that was our next stop. Fortunately, this restaurant popped up and it was perfect. The location was great ...it was walking distance from the theater and they had good food. You can't beat that. I ordered the NY Strip steak with a medley of vegetables. The dish came out piping hot and cooked to the correct temperature for my liking. It had great flavor and seasoning. The Au Jus sauce was great as well. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and very tender. I also ordered the tomato tartar which was new for me. I've never had tartar before so that was a new experience for me especially with the texture. It was very acidic but not over powering. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't order it again. My friend ordered the arugula salad and shrimp cocktail. She mentioned that the salad was very delicious and refreshing and the shrimp cocktail was tasty but unfulfilling. The service was great. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the host who was very friendly. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He really catered to our every need. He provided great recommendations for drinks. I ordered the Jenny which was very delicious and refreshing. I suggest ordering that drink if you desire something light and sweet. The ambiance was very nice. It was giving modern but homey. The background music was at a good volume and from where we were sitting you could see the bar and the rotisserie kitchen. Overall, it was a great experience. I would 100% recommend if you are looking for a restaurant to go to before a play or even if you are in that area.

    Good area for a chat.

Great location by the downtown area. We had a business meet and wanted a quiet place. Originally we were to be seated in the main dining room with a bit of background noise. The GM came and seated us in another room at a corner table: so we were pleased. The menus offered a good selection of fish, fowl and steak. We avoided the rotisserie for fear of time delay, and ordered off the main menu. The NY strip was smaller and thinner than I expected. Service was excellent, but the menu left something to be desired.

Located in downtown DC, The Henri is a perfect stop before a performance since it's close to the National Theatre and the Warner Theatre. Walking in, you will see three different spaces for your dining needs. I sat in the comfortable bistro area, decorated with warm earth tones. For a starter, I had the escargot croissant. It was an innovative twist on escargot with a light pastry and delicious celery remoulade underneath. For my main course, I had the mussels served in a light sauce and a side of fries. Our server was helpful and attentive throughout the night. I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a quality meal ahead of a performance.

The ambiance was solid and the servers were very attentive. The food's presentation was lovely, but lacked execution. I enjoyed the beef cheek purse from the prefixed menu, but the salmon appetizer was chewy and hard to cut with a knife. The Hazelnut mouse was enjoyable. The "Old Friend" cocktail seemed like it had great potential, but lacked body. The location is very convenient to the National Theater and directly across the street from the Warren Theater. Might give it another shot if I'm catching a show.

Random spot while walking around. We saw the restaurant week menu on the window and got excited because branzino was one of the choices, but found out it was not on the menu anymore once we set down. The waitress wasn't nice or accommodating about it either. Half chicken from rotisserie was delicious. Red snapper from rotisserie was underwhelming and lacking flavor.

This is THE spot for happy hour if you are way down town, waiting for a show at the Theater or just want a cool, vibey and friendly bar to hang at. I was waiting for a show at the Warner Theater on a cold winter evening and remembered attending a Yelp event here in mid 2023. A well lit bar area is framed by towering glass windows and views of their wine storage....perfect. Me and 3 friends took over the corner of the chic bar and were greeted with some of the best hospitality I've experienced since before the pandemic. The bar bites were a mix of charbroiled oysters in butter, cauliflower tempura, lamb kebabs and maryland crab (egg) rolls. I don't know what the thread is here except maybe tasty! at under $10 for bites, we effectively ordered one of everything and it acted as our pre-theater dinner (pro-tip, they also have a theater dinner menu to get you in and out before your show). Everything was wonderfully savory, well seasoned and presented beautifully. The open kitchen plan let's you see the magic happening if you so choose and everything came out quickly. The happy hour drinks were also $10 and had the options for wine (two sparklings, two reds, two whites, all excellent regions and years), beer and two cocktails, the Henri and a house cocktail which happened to be a marg that night. Our bartender was Geo and he was amazing (there were actually two that tag teamed). They kept the water and drinks flowing and everything was delicious. I actually was going to initially give this place 4.5 stars but as I wrote this review....I was like...NO...this place is AWESOME! Happy hour winner in Penn Quarter!!

Located between two theaters in downtown DC: Warner Theatre and National Theatre. The 3 hours parking validation claimed on the official website turned out to be a joke. We paid the full price anyway because the National Place Parking garage attendant told us that they didn't have any agreement with the restaurant. We booked for an early dinner at 5 pm. We were the only customers so it was pretty quiet. The service was polite, attentive and reserved. The prices were on the higher end. The food was fine. We ordered: 4.5*LAMB MEATBALLS with lentilles du puy salad, cherry tomatoes, whiskey barrel aged soy dressing: good portion and delicious meatballs. 4*ASPARAGUS / flemish style, egg mimosa, italian parsley: very light and healthy. 4.5*POTATO - SALMON / crispy potato cake, salmon caviar, sour creme, chives: 4*PEI MUSSELS with white wine, mustard, parsley, shallots, and leeks: light flavor yet good. 4.5*PORCHETTA / grilled broccolini, preserved lemon jus: the pork was crispy and tasty chop. 4*HALLOUMI BURGER / heirloom tomato, basil custard, arugula: colorful and appealing presentation, a light entree. 4*ROTISSERIE CHICKEN / chimichurri, roasted baby carrots: decent portion md taste. 4*BELGIAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE with raw cacao beans and a thin layer of fleur de sel: a small portion of pretty rich chocolate mousse. 3*STRAWBERRY BEIGNET / fried doughnut, lemon sugar: per normal and nothing fancy.

    Ashley J.

I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and salad to start with and share. I personally would not recommend the pate or the croquettes. The mussels were plentiful and almost too many but that's is due to our overload of starters. Great choices to choose from and great flavors.

I came here for happy hour with some friends. I really liked the Henri cocktail. It was sweet and strong. The bar snacks I had were also great. The Maryland crab rolls were crispy and delicious. The oysters were also amazing. They tasted really good with the crispy topping and garlic butter. The bartender was also friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a nice ambiance.

Happened to walk into this place after seeking a happy hour place. Great last minute find. We sat in the bar area in the curved bench area. The pillows were a nice touch. Very cozy, clean and open space. Decor was modern, yet welcoming vibe. Cocktail - DC Proud was good. If you have egg allergies, ask to remove it. Menu didn't indicate it, but top foam was egg whites. Would I get the cocktail again, absolutely. Food - ordered off bar menu since we were there mainly to chat over drinks. Lamb kabab - a bit chewy, yogurt sauce on bottom of plate was fine, size of lamb balls was fine, but the texture of it was off, for me. Frites - how could you go wrong, just enough crunch and heat. Fried cauliflower- too much batter for me Cod sliders - too bready for me, could use more crunch/pickle or pickled onion, lettuce Forget the name, but the fried cheese wrap was delicious. Must eat it while it's hot though. We ordered two. Looking forward to going back. Loved the decor of the bar area.

The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Arrived late this evening dropped bages and hustled down for supper before close…read more Nice folks, nice location in main lobby of the Westin... Now the review.. where on God's green earth in this day and age does an establishment that sells a hamburger NOT have an extra patty option??? The server was a good dude but told me each patty was an uncharted for an entire burger meal... my order is no bun, no fries, no salad and no fruit.... why the heck would I agree to 25 bucks for a patty as an add on... Ill pay the first hit as a matter of menu price but... not the same for just another patty.. I don't know what sort of vodoo happened here but the good staff figured it out and I got a couple of patties extra without the terrible fee... I did pay extra and thats great. Cant say ill come here again because without a standard approach, I cant say ill get the same price... standards matter. I get it Get on board please... this is not the stone age and we have technology... its also a very very common thing for extra protein.. This is not typical and id guess that less than 2% of the placedls I eat cant figure this out... DC was not a place I'd think would be stuck. Won't be eating here again for this week's stay simply because I dont want to have to wrangle the meal each time ... I just would like to eat and go.. Thank you for figuring it out late at night This is more for management... you got good food and good folks.. fix your POS please.

I'm told the buffet is the fastest, I look down at the menu. No buffet even listed, I guess I'll never know what's included or the price. Server very kind, coffee very mediocre. Breakfast is the same.
