The service was okay, but the food was awful. The eggs were very greasy and the potatoes were almost unedible. My boyfriend felt the same way abouthis food as well. The waitress never asked how our food was, I'm guessing she knew it wasn't very good. read more

Old school breakfast, house made hash browns, awesome Benedict's, friendly staff. Great prices, definitely worth the stop in for breakfast. It will become one of our regular breakfast destinations. read more

This is probably one of the worst breakfast places I have ever been to. It took about 25 minutes for somebody to take our order. The Bloody Mary is atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. Food was below average. We left feeling like we were robbed. read more

I was in yesterday morning for breakfast and ordered biscuits and gravy. Later that night, I started vomiting - I went to urgent care today and they think it's food poisoning. This was the only meal I could have gotten it from. Avoid this place. read more

The was good but the mushroom were a little cold and the coffee wasn't that good...really good service, I would try it next time to see if it get better!!!! :) read more

The food took so long and they screwed up my order. I asked for waffles with no walnuts (due to an allergy), took forever to finally get to me, and by the time i got it, I nearly dove into devouring it down until my friend pointed out there were walnuts (barely visable) in my waffles. As hungry as I was, I was not in the mood for an epi-pen, so I sent it back. The waiter had a bad attitude about it, and it once again took freakin forever to finally get my waffles! Never going back, there's plenty of better breakfast joints elsewhere. read more

The food was OK. I got the stuffed French toast, and it was alright. My friend got the Stacked Ranchero Breakfast and asked for NO green chile on it, sure enough it came out loaded with green chile. That was a big bummer. read more

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the city. Wonderful waiting staff and delicious food. A huge thank you to the cook.

Visited this place back in September. The food here was meh and the service was even worse. We felt majorly rushed by the waitress. Restaurant was far from packed so there was no need for it. read more

This place is obviously woefully understaffed. I called, was dumped into hold without so much as a hello. Called again, and was dumped into voicemail. So much for placing a carry out order I think I'll send my money elsewhere. read more

In a city where quick responsive service is hard to come by, The Delectable Egg is the exception. The food has always been very good. The crab cake Benedict may be the best thing in the menu. Love this place. Eat here at least once a week. read more

Good prices and awesome French Toast and Hot Chocolate!!! Will definitely go back when visiting Denver.

So many things went wrong here. Server was beyond rude. The potatoes were boiled and not seasoned. I Ordered something extra since my food was inedible and the server slammed it on the table without saying a word and never came back. I would not recommend this place and will never ever come back. read more

Good food, nice service, decent prices. A great place for a casual sit-down lunch with friends during the week. I've liked pretty much everything I'd had off the menu and you can choose healthy or not-so-much. What's not to like? read more

First time here. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with two scrambled eggs on the side, with OJ. OJ is top notch and fresh. Cakes were good as well with a good amount of berries. Was not offered the real syrup option though. Wouldn't have mattered, I'm not paying a ridiculous $2.50 for the real syrup. For a place with egg in it's title, the scrambled eggs were about as bad as you can get. I'm not even sure they came out of an egg. WAY over done, barely warm, and artificially yellow with no flavor. That alone would give this place a one star. Only the OJ and cakes moves it to a two. read more

the service was good, but the potatoes were a mix of properly cooked and so dry as to be like little rocks. the omelet might have been good, but was overwhelmed by the chipotle sauce so nothing else could be tasted. the green pepper ring still had the white gill attached. the tea although in bags was served in a pot and upon request i was able to get my cup filled with hot water to heat it up and then given to me empty but hot. read more

Told us the wait was 20-30 minutes. Kept us waiting for 40 minutes, then told us we weren't going to be seated. It was honestly the rudest experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We won't be back, but they really didn't seem to care. read more

Went here for breakfast my first day in Denver, it was close to my hotel. Got the two eggs with bacon, hash browns and an English muffin. Not bad but just didn't impress. Ordered my eggs over medium and they were more over easy, no big deal that's typical. Hash browns were just ok. Coffee just ok. read more

I bet this was once a great spot, as there appears to be multiple locations around town. However, my impression is that they have given up. Fairly empty on a sat, but still waited 30 mins for our waiter to even greet us. Dirty tables all around that were never bused while we were there. Food was decent. Just seemed like management had checked out long ago and no one cares anymore... read more

I was a guest at a nearby hotel for several days. The breakfast menu at the hotel did not impress me. A little research led me to The Delectable Egg. I so much looked forward to breakfast here. The food was delicious, the prices reasonable, and the staff was friendly and personable. Lauren was my server several times, and her friendliness and conversation started off every day on a positive note. When I return to Denver, The Delectable Egg will be my first order of business in the morning! read more

Big menu! As a vegetarian, I Immediately gravitated towards the portobello mushroom eggs benedict, which was billed as coming with zucchini, red pepper, onion, served over toasted English muffin halves. I have to say, it had all those things, but it wasn't quite as spectacular as I was hoping. I guess I expected that the portobellos would be served whole, as big mushroom caps, but instead they were chopped up with the other veggies. They would be the perfect size to layer over the English muffins and under the eggs... But anyway. Taste was good, but not outstanding. The side of hash brown potatoes was pretty average. Cinnamon roll was pretty bland... No raisins, rather dry and tasteless. On the plus side, my waitress was very cheerful and friendly, I think she did a great job! Also they offer real maple syrup for a small fee, which I think is fantastic as who wants to eat that fake sugar syrup! read more

Whitney the manager of this location does not have any customer service etiquette. I was sitting on a side table and there was a party of 10 people next to me - they had to more 3 tables to accommodate them. By doing this the people that were walking by kept on hitting my table and soiling my coffee a little. I asked the Walter if we could move my table to get it out of the way because I did not want the coffee all over me - I was sitting alone and so were the other tables around me. Well, she came out of no where that the table had to be moved again because it was not how the decoration should be - spilling a little of my coffee again. This was done without a good Morning or even given me a smile or anything - very rude. I felt like leaving but was looking forward to what I had ordered. I am not from Denver and you might not see me ever again - I do have to say the breakfast was very good but her service was not. Please do something about this because I saw her going around with that horrible expresión on her face that she gave me - not customer service oriented. Keep her in the back where she has no contact with customers. food was great her service leaves little to day read more

We were seated promptly, however our waitress took almost 30 minutes just to take our drink order as we watched her take orders from 3 other tables that were sat after us. We waited another 20 minutes for coffee and OJ to arrive and she took our breakfast order. 30 minutes later and our food was now available. A runner delivered the food, not our waitress. The food was OK, not at all impressed. The waitress stopped by once after she took our order to drop off the check. Overall this is the worst service I've ever had. Would not recommend. read more

holy crap this place is excellent, but you do want to avoid the rush hours because they get overwhelmed. i can understand why people get poor service, but think about it...why else would this place be so busy if their food wasn't worth the hassle? there are two locations more or less on either end of 16th street, so either one is a shuttle away. well worth it. read more

Should've checked out the reviews on this place before I decided to come in. We were sat right away on a Sunday morning which was awesome but aren't "delectable" brunch spots supposed to have lines out the door? That should've been a sign. We sat down and actually had pretty decent service at first, our waitress was fine. The food was meh, just okay. I got the pancake egg bacon thing and my boyfriends ordered the Crab Cake Benedict with a side of specialty house potatoes. Food comes and those potatoes are UNCOOKED. We wait for about 10-15 minutes before the waitress returns. Most of our other food had been eaten/picked over so we let her know of the problem with the potatoes. She offered a new side but we honestly were done eating and ready to go. We ask for her to remove those off the bill. Her manager (Lauren) comes over and offers us more potatoes, we say no thank you and ask for them to be removed from the bill. She looks very confused and walks off. Our check drops and nothing was removed. We check out with Lauren and she was very cold to us as we were leaving. Didn't even ask us how our food was, probably because she knew the answer we were going to give! I've been working in food service since I was 16 years old. As annoying and stressful as it can be, the customer is always right and you need to make sure they leave happy. If the food is wrong, you get them a round of drinks on the house or comp that wrong meal on the bill. Very simple things you can do as a restaurant that will turn the situation around. Sad this place has many poor reviews because it's actually kind of cute. Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Check out Snooze if you're visiting and looking for breakfast! It's INCREDIBLE! read more

Yep, another affordable spot for breakfast in Denver, so yep you will likely need to wait for a table. Our's was about a 7 minute wait on a GABF Friday at about 11am. Sweetest people on earth work here, very, very good staff. Very solid and hearty options here. I continued my Corned Beef Hash tour of Denver, poached eggs were just a little more overdone then I would have liked, but the whole package was right on. Loved the thick white toast as well. Denver Omlette was fluffy and perfectly cooked. Worth the wait, that is for certain. read more

The delectable egg is a great place to eat out for breakfast if you desire great food, a warm and cozy vibe and excellent service. Staff was very knowledgeable of the menu plus there are plenty options other then just your basic egg and bacon platter. Definitely give this place a try. read more

I love their breakfast food. I ordered via Uber Eats and 2 of 5 items ordered actually arrived. Fortunately, the things that did come were sufficient and were delicious. Alice, at the restaurant, took responsibility for botching the order and promptly refunded the undelivered portion and was very professional, which instilled enough confidence for me to continue ordering from them - mistakes do happen and it was a busy time of morning when I ordered. The Carne Asada breakfast tacos are absolutely delicious, especially with the avocado and hashbrowns. I ordered for delivery because their service does tend to run a little bit slow, but in reality, I have to admit that there aren't a lot of places that serve up really delicious, high quality food like they do, so if you're in a rush, maybe pass and wait for a time when you have a bit more time because it's worth the wait. Thanks, Alice! read more

I was really disappointed in our visit today. Typically everything here is great! On a typical day I would give it 5 stars. Fast service, great food. The wait is always long but we are used to that part. Today the entire experience was terrible. From sit down to when we finally got our check was an hour and 22 minutes. We didn't actually get our food until we had already been sitting for almost 45 minutes and our waitress only checked in like 3 times the entire visit so we didn't even know the status of what was going on. Typically the waitresses are good about checking in and letting you know if things are running behind. Nope not today. My fiancee's coffee cup broke and he wasn't able to get a new one until our food was delivered even though we tried to flag down 2 different people. By the time we got our food ( summer skillet and steak and eggs ) it was luke warm at best. The steak was WAY over done, no seasoning WHATSOEVER! The veggies in the skillet were not cooked all the way and my over medium eggs were more like well. It was clear that our food has just been sitting for sometime before actually being delivered to us. We are typically not those to complain but our waitress didn't even check with us too see if our food was okay. If she did, Honestly I probably would of sent it back, especially considering how long we had already been waiting. The best part of the whole meal was the coffee, which we ran out of, and the toast that showed up to the table after the rest of our meal. Once done we waited for another 10-15 minutes before a manager, not our waitress checked in with us, took the plates and brought us our check. Not the best experience by far, but really disappointing that a place we love was just SO terrible all the way around. read more

This is a very standard breakfast joint that we went to mainly due to its proximity to where we were staying (Comfort Inn downtown Denver). They were very busy on a Saturday morning when we stopped in but we only waited about 10 minutes for a table for 2. Atmosphere is not the focus here as with most egg & pancake joints but there was nothing bad about our surroundings either. Waitress was very friendly but very busy so service was on the slower side especially the time it took to get our coffee but once the Macadamia Nut coffee arrived it was downright tasty. I like that they place a pitcher of water with lemon in it on each table so you don't have to bug the server for refills, I was super thirsty from attending a beer fest the night before. Once the food came it was just so/so, they heralded their Denver omelet and it was the 2nd priciest item on the menu after steak & eggs so my expectations were high and what I got was kinda weird. Sliced lunch meat style ham was placed on top of the omelet and a large slice of green pepper with a crunchy core still attached and neither items were hot. I felt like I was paying for the hokey flag placed in my food with a toothpick. I was envious of my fellow diners meal which looked much more enjoyable which he confirmed was. On a positive note the total bill for both of us was $30 with a tip which seemed reasonable and the service was good in spite of the business volume they were dealing with. I would give four stars but the Denver omelet just sucked a little bit. read more

The biscuits n gray are really creamy n yummy!! The gravy is very good as well as the soft biscuits. The sausage is spicy and compliments the gravy well. I had the breakfast quesadilla with chorizo and it was fabulous! Service a little slow but not horrible.

The food was pricey and bland. The server was unattentive. The menu has a good variety, but the experience just wasn't all that great. It was very hot in there. The coffee was burned. I can't see how two omelettes justify a bill of over $33. read more
