We came for a late breakfast / early lunch at the recommendation from the Sheraton. The restaurant appears clean and well maintained. Not a fan of carpeted floors. They always look dirty to me...and usually are. Not the best ambiance. Not sure of the look they were going for. Our server was very nice, but was not in a hurry that's for sure. My son ordered the eggs Benedict with house potatoes, my wife had just side of toast and avocado, and i had the detectable power wrap. My son didn't care for his eggs Benedict - maybe a little too much sauce. But also his first, so his critique should probably be discounted. He loved the potatoes. My wife was ok with her toast. She forgot to say no to butter. And of course they were very generous with the it! My wrap was not very good. Kind of bland! I could taste the olives, but otherwise not very memorable. one thing unexpected was potatoes. I always ask to hold...and of course they piled on so many potatoes...that i had no intention eating. I don't recall it being on the menu. I do recall a fruit cup. Omg. It was the smallest cup I've ever seen. 3 grapes, 1 chunk of Mellon and 1 small slice of strawberry. We did get a nice laugh at the Ridiculousness of it. So the place is kind of average at best. Nothing stood out. i probably would not return. read more

I ordered the French toast Royale. Two toasts, eggs, choice of meat. The eggs were cooked to perfection. If you are ordering breakfast in, I recommend this place. Good quality food. read more

Been here many times here before it 2017 and it was excellent. Today my food was another story. Service was very slow and my skillet was luke warm and tasteless. Will never go here again. Was charged 1.99 fee for cleaning my table Covid fee and had to ask to have my tables cleaned after I sat down because it needed cleaning. Overall a bad experience. read more

Well...we had high hopes for this spot...but alas...it was quite mediocre. I ordered a make your own omelette and it was ok. Nothing special--but the onions were cut very large. The hash browns on the other hand were horrible. They tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I couldn't get past the pill taste. I love potatoes but I could not eat these. We also ordered a Denver omelette. It was not bursting with flavor. In fact the ingredients were sparse--it was almost flat. It technically had the ingredients listed but not very much. The cheese was just a hint (sadly). The coffee was good, though the server served my companion and not me :/ He could use a little more customer service training. read more

The best brunch/ breakfast place. It has AMAZING service and the restaurant is really clean.

Came here for breakfast and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Kens sandwich. It was very good and you could tell everything was cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place and if I am ever in Denver again I would stop by. read more

Went here on a whim checking for a new breakfast option. SO glad we stopped here! The menu is huge and there are a ton of choices. Heavy crowds because of the proximity to downtown hotels. I've branched out into a keto diet and the husband is low-carb on a good day, but we still had plenty of choices. I wasn't a fan of the sausage links, but he loved them so I forked them over. The scrambled eggs were great, a tiny bit runny, but I honestly love soft scrambled eggs. I had a piece of gluten free toast, and while I'm sure it wasn't that keto-friendly, it was nice to have a piece of toast with my breakfast. I love that they have gluten-free options for those people with dietary restrictions/sensitivities. It's also worth mentioning that both the host and server were amazingly friendly. I wish I could remember their names because I've never had friendlier waitstaff. Genuine to boot! We will absolutely go back soon. read more

I can only speak for this Court Pl location. Excellent during this COVID time. I've been numerous times since summer with business travel. It is now my go to in this area whenever I'm here. I do not have experience previous, but I will for sure return going into the future. Food is fresh made and fast. Above average packaging and condiments without having to ask or request. They have adapted and thought how to best serve and operate with a positive attitude and product in these times. Outdoor tables. Delivery pickup. To go. All set up. Hostesses are friendly and helpful. Solid good food and a business that deserves support. read more

Close to our hotel. A 20 minute wait on a Saturday morning I would say is average. Menu balanced. Service is good. Food was only average. Green eggs and ham Benedict (pesto sauce on the muffin) was good. But the home fries were under cooked. Not acceptable at a breakfast joint. Three stars because it probably is better most of the time. read more

EGGS-CELLENT FIND! Stopped in on Saturday morning with a party of 11, waited for a little while and started the feeding frenzy. Hot coffee and juice all around. Then we dined on pancakes, scrambles, French toast, crepes, omellete, toast and home fries. Everything was hot, delicious and plentiful. Great selections of hot sauces. Highly recommended. I'm town on business and was looking for an amazing breakfast to get the day going. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try as it was close to our hotel. Wasn't too busy, got seated right away. Asked the waiter what he recommended, he said the "green Chile" Benedict. So, I rolled with his suggestions. Holy heck!!! It was amazing! Perfect amount of flavor and it all worked together nicely I will eat here each time I'm in town just to get that dish! It's a must try and must repeat! read more

Great breakfast spot! Relatively quick Delivery times to my Ake BnB and the food was warm and tasty. Pricy.

The waitress that we had was awesome, very personable. Service was somewhat slow but they were busy. Food was spicy which I didn't order anything I thought would be spicy (eggs benedict). Loved the latte - very good. read more

During this outing I experience mediocre food. We were hungry and needed a place to eat. The omelette had no flavor and the spinach soaked the omelette. Biggest disappointment was the house potatoes, in short term they made me not to want to come back to this "house". The potatoes were slightly burnt and the other half raw, shows a uneven cook. My suggest take a longer walk or drive downtown and eat at another breakfast place. read more

The server was excellent and the food was delicious. I had a cinnamon roll and bottomless mimosas

I was in Denver for a couple of days on business. I was staying at the Warwick Hotel but was looking for something different for breakfast. I did a Yelp search and found the Delectable Egg was within walking distance of the hotel. I was greeted with kindness and seated quickly. The restaurant was a little crowded but my waiter took my order. I ordered the my favorite breakfast which consisted of biscuits with sausage gravy, two eggs cooked to order and hash browns or home fries. I ordered my eggs over medium and hash browns. There was an option to add meat and I ordered the link sausage. When a restaurant is fairly crowded I make a mental note of how many tables are eating versus how many aren't. The his gives me a fairly accurate idea of the efficiency of the kitchen crew. I saw almost every table was eating. Good sign. I got my food quickly and dug in. The biscuits were soft and fluffy and were covered in delicious sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly! The sausage was surprisingly spicy and had been cut in half, cooked lengthwise and was good. The only small knock on this otherwise tasty breakfast was that the hash browns were just a little too greasy. If you want a delicious breakfast to start your morning in downtown Denver then the Delectable Egg will satisfy the hungry man. Wonderful coffee as well! read more

This was one of our favorite meals while visiting Denver! They had a big menu with so many delicious options that it was hard to pick. Alejandro was our server and he was so sweet. We had great conversations and he made recommendations for us. I had the cheesecake filled French toast (amazing) and my boyfriend had the breakfast steak tacos (which had the most amazing salsa on them). My side of bacon was cooked to PERFECTION. We really loved the food and great service, and would come again. read more

My wife and I have been ordering from here since the pandemic started. We are going to start doing pick up soon since we love it so much and want to support them more. Delectable Egg is simply delicious. It has hands down become our go-to for breakfast or brunch. They are hearty, great value, and amazingly tasty and delicious. We can't wait to meet and dine in person. If the delivery is of any indication then we can't wait to see what it's like fresh! Thank you TDE for making our Sunday mornings something to look forward to. Our typical order: meat lovers omlette for me, sunrise frittata for her. We share a side of rooster cakes. We've poked around a few other dishes but we keep coming back to those. Not because the others aren't good, but because these are simply our favorites. We also prefer the hash browns over the house potatoes. Sidenote: delivery is always consistent, estimated time is usually quite accurate, and the food always feels fresh and delicious. read more

Took a day trip to Denver with my significant other and ate breakfast here. We read that this was a top breakfast place in the downtown area. We came here pretty early so there wasn't that many people inside which I enjoyed. The Benedict eggs were yummy. We also ordered mimosas and those were deliciously dangerous! Also: the decor in the place is very unique. The dinner area has paintings by local artists that you can actually buy. Love to see a place supporting local artists. Would recommend this place to everyone. read more

Great food, great service! The portobello Benedict was delish as well as the hash browns

Food was mediocre. The hostess was the worse. She acted like she was too good for the job. Never smiled or greeted the customers when seating them. Actually, she barely looked at them. She did seem helpful with the staff but what a resting bitch face she had on the hour I was there. Yea, I won't be coming back. read more

I placed an order for delivery of 4 different items this morning and overall the food was good. However - I didn't expect the jelly plastic container Denver Omeletteto be in the gravy on one entree and in the cheese on another. We also didn't receive any plastic wear which was requested. Additionally one of the entrees had a short thick black hair in the egg. I called and spoke with the assistant manager Allie and she did they offered to remake but not deliver. I said that's ok because I am not a fan of a remake after I've had issues. She never offered to refund that entree. Won't be back. The Basic Breakfast Eggs read more

Based on their approach to customer service, I suggest they rename this establishment 'The Aggressive Egg', or perhaps 'The Angry Egg'. Between the shirty waiter and the extremely rude and confrontational manager, this place has provided comfortably the worst dining experience I've ever had in America. Half our breakfast arrived cold. That's fine - these things happen. We were in a hurry and didn't have time to take them up on their passive aggressively delivered offer of remaking it (which they said would take another 15 minutes), so we suggested to the waiter that he removed the dishes in question from our bill, to which he agreed. One of our party attempted to eat half, the other left his untouched. When the check arrived without the promised deductions, we politely queried it. Rather than simply apologizing and honoring the promise, the manager chose to respond by raising her voice, belligerently telling us it was our own fault that we'd eaten some of the cold food and that it didn't look like we were in a hurry. I quote (with raised voice and angry gesticulation): "In the time you've spent arguing with me, we could have remade your food." Just when I thought I'd seen it all, while my two friends were standing talking to the increasingly enraged manager and calmly trying to resolve the situation, the waiter aggresively bustled past and curtly told one of them to get out of his way. There was plenty of room and only around 5 other diners in the restaurant anyway - he was just irritably making a point. I've never seen an incident so spectacularly mishandled by a manager in the food service industry (and I'm from the UK, so I've seen more than my fair share). She started out with passive aggression and culminated in overt rudeness, and did everything she could to escalate the situation along the way. Although eventually the offending items were deducted from our bill as originally promised, this was very far from the delectable dining experience we had hoped for. In a word? Horrible! Just so this review isn't all doom and gloom, I'll end on a positive note: the locally made Sriracha sauce they have in there is BANGING. read more

I'm just going to list what was wrong plain and simple I ordered the french toast royal and my husband a burger it wasn't even hot when we got it. The royal: There were two different foreign objects in my eggs my french toast had little eggshells on it bacon was a little over cooked then what I had asked for The burger: So my husband asked if he could build his own so when substitutions could have been made we got charged for it, there was stuff on it he didn't ask for the potatoes that came with his burger were gross we got our check 5 minutes after we had just gotten out food the feel of being rushed much. for being a Saturday at 10:00 and you don't even have a wait except for going out the door what are you doing wrong and I wanted to see if this place was better then I was told, they were right i should have gone to mcd's down the street. read more

Very good! We went for brunch and weren't disappointed! There was a short wait on a Saturday morning.

Confession: I love breakfast. I mean, I looooove breakfast, to the point of marrying it, if it was somehow physically possible! I mean, I'm in Denver, the city so famous a whole omelette's named after it :) Anyways, I'm in town on business, and The Delectable Egg's on the way to my job site. I've eaten here twice so far, and plan on stopping by again tomorrow... it's that habit forming! The first visit here, I had an Idaho skillet, which consisted of potatoes, melted cheese, scallions, onions, and crumpled bacon with two eggs. Today, I had the Mexican omelette, which was stuffed with chorizo, cheese, salsa, and topped with sour cream. I think I've got permanent artery hardening over the past two days, but if this is the cost of premature death, then call me Momma Cass! Service is fast and friendly, and breakfast, juice, coffee, and a reasonable tip will set you back about $15, which isn't terribly bad (hey, I'm on per diem, so I don't care if I indulge occasionally!). The verdict: screw IHOP! If you like breakfast, this is your Graceland! read more

My dining experience was great except when the "Manager" of this site came darting out from the back room to crouch down by my service dog and inspect him for service dog related identity tags (which he had on his collar). I explained calmly that he actually was not required to have these tags - as stipulated by Federal law (the ADA). Her curt response was that I was being "negative", a response that I still do not understand ? She explained that the DOH absolutely required tags or vest for a service dog. This in fact is absolutely NOT TRUE. The ADA requires the restaurant or public place to merely ask the question, "is he/she a service dog"? Anyway, breakfast was awesome. I just hope this manager gets appropriate training and lightens up her attitude... or perhaps she should remain in the back room. Her demeanor was horrible ! read more

Sometimes on Sunday morning, I don't feel like changing out of my yoga pants and just want a good ole American breakfast. If you know those feels, then The Delectable Egg is where you should head. My boyfriend swears by the breakfast sandwiches here. I almost always get the Denver omelette. The omelettes are filled with veggies and served with hash browns and toast/English muffin. Being from New England, I always opt for the EM. It's buttered and grilled, just like at home. The coffee is exactly what your expect from a place like this and is served in a silver carafe that is left of the table so you can keep your cup full. They do have a bar and offer your typical brunch drinks including bottomless mimosas ($15/person) We usually split a carafe of mimosa which is the perfect amount to take the edge off of last nights hangover, but doesn't deter me from getting my Sunday grocery shopping done. read more

I was invited for breakfast to this restaurant. It has a very homey feel to it; the decor suggests it is casual. I'm not sure if this is a chain restaurant, I understand there are several locations though it has the feel of a mom and pop place. I had the Mexicana omelet (Oh! What a surprise!) It was delicious! It had avocado, cheddar cheese, red bell peppers, and chorizo. The omelet was served with home fries. It was very good! I also noticed they have a wide menu ranging from pancake stacks, crepes, oatmeal, waffles, combos, and of course, omelets. The service was courteous not particularly friendly but it doesn't need to be. My friend had the Denver omelet. All he said is that it was "ok." Perhaps because he had a bite out of my omelet and discovered that mine was better than his (?). I will definitely be back for breakfast. read more

The Delectable Egg is a great old-school establishment for the early morning dining needs of Denver's bustling business center, and little known fact, HOME of the DENVER OMELETTE! This is where business folk come to have business breakfast. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. Coffee pots on your table, water glasses filled to the rim. Breakfast options are diverse and consistent- you will always get the same dish! I am a fan of the Denver Omelette, the Western Omelette and the Green Goddess. If you order the Denver omelette, you will get a cute little flag toothpick on it proclaiming its originality. If you are from out of town, this is a great option! If you are from here, you've been here and have a favorite. read more

The Delectable Egg - Downtown - Denver omelet with special potatoes and dry wheat toast. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Denver, Colorado

It can be easy to miss the Delectable Egg, as I feel like it's somewhat hidden deep in the heart of downtown Denver. But it's a great alternative to your downtown hotel's continental breakfast. I grabbed a bite to eat here not long before leaving for the airport. There was a wait for the table but it wasn't bad (it was around 20 minutes). The place was, as expected, very busy late on a Sunday morning. Although the dining area is basically one large room, it didn't sound as loud or seem as hectic as it looked from the waiting area. The food was good. I ordered their french toast with a side of bacon. It did its job. Ultimately, the Delectable Egg is a good place to get brunch if you're sick of your hotel's offerings. Without knowing Denver well, this is a solid, convenient option for people visiting downtown. read more

oh my gosh, those banana oat pancakes!! Today for some reason I was craving breakfast food for lunch (they also have normal lunch items) so I made a To Go order here. I did the pancakes, eggs, and meat combo, I forget what it was called, and upgraded my pancakes to the banana oat. Yummy. Usually I am too full to finish my pancakes but man, I could have eaten 2 more of those suckers. The eggs I had ordered over medium, not as cooked as I would have liked so I guess make sure to specify that you dont want runny, but still good. I chose the breakfast chorizo and that was delish, not very spicey though, but maybe that is just how breakfast chorizo patties are? Af the end of the call the girl told me it would be done in 5-10 minutes?! No way. But when I got there to go pick it up (walking distance from my work and a refreshing alternative to the 16th st mall bustle), it was all ready to go waiting for me, and they had a full house!! I'll be back Delectable Egg. You are delectable. read more
