Had the rooster surprise. Decent portion and presentation. Service is great and very accommodating. They do not know what over hard means. Took 20 minutes for my one friend's food to show and the eggs were runny. Took 20 more minutes for them to come back. My attorney advised me to be quiet on the matter. I also question is this is maple syrup. Not very sweet syrup. Very tasty. Service: 80/99 Food: 95/99 read more

Service was friendly! Quoted us about 20 minutes wait time, but it didn't take that long at all. They let us bring a small dog inside, which was nice. Food was great! Good place to stop while visiting :) read more

Wow! I don't even know where to begin. This has been an amazing experience from the moment we sat down. Maribel, our server, greeted us with a smile through her mask. The stuffed French toast was amazing. It is amazing to see a restaurant run like a well oiled machine! read more

First time here and looked promising. Good for breakfast but not great. Here's why: Had OJ, a latte and the Sicilian Frittata. Service just fine - let's get that straight. Frittata not memorable, a bit overcooked in fact. Hash browns were the big disappointment - very uneven cook with some crunchy potatoes in the lot. Final note: if you pick that name for the place, you've set the bar high and need to de read more

Wonderful service and staff. It was pretty busy due to the holiday and the foot traffic was handled nicely. The food was lovely! The chicken Florentine crepe was exceptional. I know they were busy and such, the one thing I would probably change is how assumptive the server was. Don't assume everybody at the table wants the same thing and no need to rush the last person. Other than that feeling everything was great. read more

Food is acceptable but service is terrible! Be prepared to have your order placed wrong and wait for over 2 hours.

Props to the Delectable Egg for offering a healthy version of French toast with an interesting apple juice & egg white batter on wheat bread! Granted, it was probably the worst French toast I've ever had...but I totally applaud the strong effort to encourage healthy eating when dining out =D Now if someone could take the reigns and further tweak this recipe, we'll be golden. Oh and the banana wheat pancakes are very tasty - highly recommended. read more

Got the Smart Meal Rooster: chicken, 2 French toasts (lacking toppings as it is a healthy choice), eggs with mushroom and zucchini. I enjoyed my meal. Tried others' hash browns which were crunch and yummy. The blueberry pancakes were good too. BUTTER. We tried the $3.99 cinnamon roll as recommended by the restaurant; why in the world did they put butter on it? Yuck. Butter on the pancakes. Butter (at least on the side) for my French toast. All restaurants should put the fatty butter as a side. Used a 20% off coupon (good for 4 people) from the Downtown Denver Visitor Center. read more

Delectable? Indeed! Some mornings you just need breakfast - this was one. Mainly due to a severe overindulgence of Denver beer sampling that had occurred the night before. In these situations, one thing is needed....protein....this means....eggs and bacon! So after a slow start managing to extricate myself from the hotel room, and a somewhat harrowing walk due to the (now almost midday) sun preventing me reading my iPhone map correctly and mostly just exasperating two important aspects of this new day.... (1) The headache from the gates of hell. (2) The reason sometimes I need to remember I'm 41 years of age, not 21! ....I eventually make it to the Delectable Egg! * Cue Angels Singing * After getting that first cup of coffee down, I'm now ready to make that most important of decisions, what dish will provide the maximum egg + bacon ratio to anything else - naturally I home in on the Omelette section. Now, when you start an Omelette name on a menu with the word "Choose" I'm liking what I see. In this case, it's "Choose Cheese, Bacon, Sausage, Ham or Mushrooms". I like what I'm seeing, but need to check on one thing. Can "or" become an "and/or" type of deal - and it can....so now I have bacon, sausage and ham omelette topped with cheddar cheese. It gets no better than this, and it was indeed the remedy that was required. Interestingly, I deliberately steered away from anything with potato or starch in it, I felt it wasn't going to sit well. However, the omelette did come with hash browns, and while generally they are not a favorite of mine these particular ones were the best I've ever had - and I'm not exaggerating, despite the delicate head situation! read more

Very good, unpretentious, if slightly anonymous, breakfast place in downtown Denver. I was lucky to have this place across the street from my hotel, with the added blessing of no waiting through any ridiculous brunch line before noon. The decor is what I will arbitrarily assume to be "mountain homey"--wooden tables and chairs, simple art on the wall, a diner-style setup without the neon signs and worn-out booth upholstery. There was a choice of flavored lattes, which I found a little unusual, but treated myself to one. It was sweet and tasty, but too mocha-frappe-Starbucks-chino for my plain-coffee palate. The French toast with eggs, on the other hand, were deee-licious and came out quickly, even though the place was filling up with loud teenage volleyball players getting ready for their big tournament. read more

A traditional breakfast joint not far from the convention center and Denver Pavilions, part of a small local chain. Note the early closing hours (it's breakfast/lunch only). The food is solid, but not particularly creative, though frittatta, huevos rancheros, and a few less traditional breakfast items make an appearance. This is the kind of place that has stacks of single-serve smuckers jam on the table, the size you need one per slice of toast. It's a little expensive for this kind of breakfast fare, but about what I'd expect for the downtown location. Quality was acceptable, but things were bland, and no hot-sauce on offer (had to ask for black pepper). A side of turkey bacon was cooked to death. When I'm traveling, I like this kind of food (if only once) as a break from modern urban fare, but it's not interesting or substantial enough that I'd seek it out regularly otherwise. read more

Great food and fast service! Will definitely visit again. Bri was an amazing waitress!

There was only one waitress with too many tables, and didn't come to us for half an hour and probably wouldn't have if we didn't say anything. We had to wait for our food and drinks for a very long time. Understandable if you were understaffed today, but the other tables were getting more attention than we were. We were also seated at a bigger table by the window that was just covered in flies. read more

The blueberry pancakes were good. They would have been great if they had come with the side of blueberry sauce as described on the menu, instead of the syrup that did. I'm not a fan of syrup. The biscuits and gravy - biscuits were good, gravy needed salt. 2 biscuits but only one egg? Hash browns were decent. I liked the packaging of the delivery - a sealed bag. And thank you for including the utensils. read more

Food not good enough to excuse the sad, outdated interior. Breakfast was fine but I was hoping to discover a hidden gem. We went during prime weekend brunch hour to be met with no line. Our waiter was eager and helpful, but some of the other workers were just gabbing around the cash register for some time. This is probably a decent place for tourists who may want a budget meal but I think the Mod Market fast casual breakfast is tastier or even a Moe's bagel. read more

Good selection of breakfast items. I like that the coffee is in its own carafe which keeps it warm and keeps your cup full. Coffee was just fine, nothing special but not bad. Eggs Benedict were good. Ham was a bit thick for my taste, but the sauce was excellent. Bit pricey but worth the walk for a good quality breakfast. Healthy options available. read more

Excellent food, quick service. Omelette and pancakes were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Ehhh. I saw this place on Yelp and decided to try it out since it's so close to the hotel I stay at for work. The service was pretty good but the food was very unimpressive :( I got the alpine skillet with the veggies. I egg-spected (lol) it to come out all mixed together but the eggs were just on top of the veggies which definitely weren't cooked enough. The mushrooms were completely raw and nothing had any flavor. Wah! read more

Honestly, the food was very mid. For it being and egg place the eggs itself left more to be desired. The potatoes were bland. Overall very forgettable. read more

Nice little spot to grab breakfast and lunch. The restaurant appeared clean and well kept, the staff was friendly and attentive to the customers, the food was delivered promptly, and costs were very reasonable. To be honest, the food probably rates 3 stars, but based on all the other aspects of my visit, I decided a four star rating was appropriate. I cannot speak for all of the food found on the Delectable Egg's menu, but I would recommend the Denver omelette over the biscuits and gravy. read more

How this place has the rating it does boggles my mind. The food is terrific -- the eggs are noticeably better than elsewhere in my opinion -- and the pancakes, potatoes, etc are all great. I highly recommend getting the blueberry pancakes as the compote is great. My server was fast, friendly, and extremely on top of things on a busy morning. Also, great coffee! Cannot recommend enough. read more

Absolutely love this place. We were in Denver celebrating by boyfriend's birthday. The Delectable Egg was our first stop of his big day and it set the tone for an amazing day. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. The banana pancakes were out of this world. The next time we are in town we will definitely be back! read more

The wait was over an 1 1/2 so we assumed this place must be awesome. We waited out, got seated. Our table was sticky and the booth had food crumbs on it the silverware was dirty and had to ask for new sets. The smell inside was not good. It smelt like a moldy rag. I kept my mask on thinking it might help but every time they cleaned a table around us, the smell grow stronger. I came to the conclusion it was the rag they were using to clean the tables. Besides that the service was good. The food is prettier in the pictures but was okay flavor wise. We were on vacation and that's how we ended up here. Sadly, I don't think I'd return for a second visit if when I go back to Denver. read more

I don't have any complaints aside from the fact that they forgot our coffee but no big deal. This place is your typical breakfast spot but its good and comforting. I was in town for a work conference and we came to The Delectable Egg with a few of my co-workers. We did not need to wait long, maybe less than fifteen minutes and they were able to accommodate 5 of us on a Saturday morning. the service was prompt and the food was good. They have their own twist on things but they are not over the top. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the buttered toast was sooooooo good their house potatoes were really tasty. If i am ever in town again I will stop by, no hesitations. read more

The service was pretty slow. First time visiting so it might have just been that type of day. Food was decent. Nothing to die over.

We asked around for a recommendation on breakfast. This place has amazing priced and extensive breakfast options. I ordered the early riser. My only complaint is the potatoes weren't quite cooked thoroughly. Same with my fiancées Denver omelette. It had a side of potatoes that were a little under cooked. The bloody mary and strawberry bellini were fantastic. Wonderful servers. Clean environment. Quick seating. Overall good experience, just wish the hash browns were a bit better. read more

We thought we stumbled upon a nice small place for breakfast outdoors. The wait was expected but the basic lack of service after seated was shocking. We asked three times for coffee until finally it came with our food, we had to ask for ice as the waters were just that, room temperature in a glass. Never once was our table checked on before presenting the bill. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat as the service was embarrassing and the food was equal to any mediocre diner, forgettable. read more

Called to see openings and had the girl on speaker. Customer service is everything to us and the way this girl acted over the phone was far from good. It was last week when we were visiting in town on a Sunday and the girl was very short, very rude, and basically acted like she didn't want our business. Glad we didn't end up trying it out. They still had an hour + left and she hung up on us before we even got to ask what other days and times weren't so busy. read more

Food was very bland. Took over an hour to get seated. Food took 40 mins. Trying to get the check was a nightmare. Overall bad situation
