First time here! (Finally). Arrived Sunday morning around 10:15, long line to get in - always a good sign! My guest and I each ordered a coffee drink and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwiches hit the spot. I had an Americano which is tasted as it should, and my guest had the Cinnamon Amaretto Latte with oat milk, which tasted delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a great vibe, very progressive coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be back.

I've been to Daily Bird a few times now, and I absolutely love it! This time, I got an iced tea and a fruit parfait, and both were delicious. The granola topping with sunflower seeds adds such a nice crunch. The atmosphere is lovely too. The fully yellow interior is so cute, and the branding is spot on. Plus the staff are super friendly and always helpful!! I highly recommend checking out Daily Bird.

Interesting coffee shop in the Riverwest area (and I think might be the closest cafe to my friend's place). My friend absolutely loves his drink here and I also really enjoyed my Miel medium sized drink. It woke us up as needed, but the taste was perfect. Highly recommend this shop! Will have to try the food here the next time I'm in Milwaukee.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The amount of flies was unappealing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Couldn't fully eat the food in the location because I spent so much time guarding it from flies before I decided to leave altogether.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very outdated establishment. Could use some redecorating to revamp the scene.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was surprisingly delicious.

So as of late we've found ourselves hitting up Daily Bird to grab the morning mud and I've grown to love this joint. Easy to walk up, order up and be on your merry way with a hand crafted cup of Joe of practically any sort you coffee concoction you prefer. Staff is on point and super friendly. Seeing the lack of small business in the area , many closing due to the pandemic, seeing the Daily bird emerge was a breath of fresh air to the neighborhood. We typically stop by while out walking the pooch and The Daily bird is fast becoming a daily habit. It's about as simple as this review. A great spot to grab a great cup of Joe at an affordable price. Can't ask for much more than that!

This used to be a Fuel I think, all black. Now the color is canary yellow. Brighter. The most important thing is that the barista makes a good cappuccino. It's also a nice, unique, friendly, non-chain space good for friends to chat, or anti-social curmudgeons to sip coffee and get some work or YELPing done. Good banana bread and there's a heavy post for my bicycle right in front.

Liked the new official coffee shop location! Very cool design with their yellow themed decor inside and outside and everywhere. The latte and cold brew were both good quality and the baristas were all friendly and efficient. Nice place to hang out and work or read!

This is adorable little walk up cafe! They have some tables and chairs on the side wall. You order from the window. Their largest size is a 16 ounce. I got a large hazelnut latte with oat milk.

The interior is bright and friendly

I love sandwiches and knew I had to try the pastrami. It was fantastic. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and I instead went with one of their refreshers on the menu. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. I'll definitely come back on more weekends when I have a craving for pastrami.

I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender and a little vanilla, in a mug. The barista did a nice job and gave the tea a good long steep. It had excellent flavor, and the temperature was right (about 140°F). It would have been even better with a bit more foam on top. For bakery items, they had a big pile of large cookies (cowboy?), but not much else. The food menu is a little sparse but has some good options for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It came out hot, with nicely grilled bread and savory meats inside. The roasted pork was especially tender and flavorful. It came with a small container of slaw, which was a little uninspiring. Service: The person who took my order and made my drink did a nice job. She took her time and did a good job with the drink. I appreciated that they delivered both the drink and the food to the table. She was a bit soft-spoken and a little hard to hear with the music playing. Efficient, but not especially outgoing. Atmosphere: The space has a bit of an industrial minimalist feel. High ceilings with the mechanicals in plain sight, along with colorful paint and design elements. Seating can accommodate groups of different sizes, though there aren't too many spots ideal for couples. The space can be a bit echoey, and the volume of the music could make conversation challenging at times. It's a nice spot for groups to hang out, and there was a larger table where people were working and collaborating. A decent spot for hanging out at lunch or later in the afternoon.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more Our monthly coffee date with our close friends took us this time to the Colectivo in Shorewood and it was good to be close from home given the frigid temperatures we were experiencing. I can't say that I've really spent any time at a Colectivo since the one at Bayshore closed, so this was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with their offerings and I came away impressed for the most part. For coffee, I went with the Peppermint Fluff Latte, and I must say it was an excellent choice on my part. They didn't skip on the mint and it really felt like a perfect drink for a cold day with Christmas just around the corner. Foodwise, I selected a cowgirl cookie (a bit too overcooked for my tastes, though the half of the salted choco cookie my husband ordered was quite good and I would recommend that one) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. The croissant was a bit more squat than I was expecting, but it lent itself to the sandwich well and while a bit miserly on the cheese, it was overall a very good sandwich. I went five stars instead of four because the staff was really quite excellent. I fully expected the usual crew of hungover hipsters you see at most other coffee shops but instead I found a fun, friendly bunch that were happy to help.

The outdoor seating was perfect to enjoy our matcha, breakfast sandwich, and coffee creations. The matcha flight was incredible and a great way to sample multiple flavors Love Cafe offers (we went back for a full size after breakfast)! The tiramisu coffee was also incredible! The space very kind and cozy and they offered some classics and unique options for foods - I was enticed by the longanisa sandwich! I had gotten the Turkey Turkey sandwich for my food. It was a nice sandwich with a hefty amount of turkey on focaccia (not something I'm used to). Mmm a nice sandwich, but nothing crazy to me. For my drink, I got a Mango Matcha. I had assumed it was a matcha latte, but was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a refresher - similar to a more-common matcha lemonade. The mango nectar went well with the matcha to balance each other out and I would suggest this happen at more places! My girlfriend got the Filipino Breakfast Sammy (my anticipated meal). This also came on a nice focaccia, with some cheese and a nice square egg. The Filipino aspects felt a bit off to me, with the longanisa patty not having the bouncy texture I was accustomed to, and was much more peppery than sweet, a sweet additional sauce would have been nice. I also think the atchara could have also been more pickled. For her drink, she got a Tiramisu Latte. This wasn't actually on the menu, but they let her make the Tiramisu Cold Brew into a latte. There wasn't much of a difference than a normal latte, so there was that. We're used to mega sugar coffee, so this wasn't really for us. The space itself was very cozy and felt very communal. Overall, there seemed to be lots of appreciation for Asian culture in the space as well as the menu. I think maybe our picks weren't too much for us, but I think they do have other options that may have been more up our alley. Something I'll say is that while the area was nice, the staff did not seem to really want to be there. Ordering at the counter felt awkward and we just did not get a welcoming vibe at all. Just a very so-so experience for us this time.
