I stopped here because I had heard that they have burlap bags from the coffee beans that they give away for free! Sure enough they do! The gentleman who helped me and pointed me in the right direction and told me take as many as I want. He was so nice. The ambience is so beautiful in there. I ended up buying a few boxes of k cups coffee as well. That was the least I could do. And honestly, I'm excited to try the coffee. I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so generous.

Awesome acoustics and view of the stage. We had a blast!

Absolute BLAST coming up to Milwaukee for the evening from Chicago to catch our favorite musician, Peter Mulvey, playing a gig at Anodyne! It is the perfect venue for a mid-size show. Amazing acoustics. Plenty of seating. We are not coffee drinkers, but were able to get yummy cold fizzy drinks to enjoy during the show. This is really the perfect setting for a concert!! Lovely staff. Clean bathrooms. Merch tables set up- love that! Plenty of free parking. I will definitely return!

The 2024 fall drink specials

Anodyne is a solid local spot with a few locations around. I frequent the Walker's Point locations and the stand in the Milwaukee Public Market. The Walker's Point location has a stage where they sometimes host live music. The cafe of course doubles as a really great place to work during the daytime, with tons of tables and outlets on the walls. There's plenty of free street parking around which is a huge plus too. Anodyne's fall 2024 drink specials include a maple pie spice latte, a sea salt sage latte, chaider and an espresso tonic with cinnamon and vanilla syrup. My favorite drink I've ever had at Anodyne was their blackberry crumble latte that they served this summer. I hope they bring it back! If you're hungry, they've got a few pastries, but you'll have to go elsewhere if you want anything more hearty.

Awesome cafe in downtown Milwaukee with a delectable selection of coffee and tea drinks and baked goods. The interior space is massive, the perfect space for events or larger group hangouts/light working, and there are a bunch of tables outside too for when the weather is warmer. I tried the lavender espresso tonic, the matcha latte, and the flourless banana bread. The espresso tonic was wonderful, acidic, tart, and the lavender added a delicious, sweet kick to it. The matcha latte was extraordinarily smooth and creamy-- good quality matcha. The banana bread was good too, very dense and not too sweet.

We were only in town for a couple days, but happy to have found this place. Very spacious inside and loved how the coffee bar took after an actual bar. They do have a stage and if you're wanting to be there without being a part of the event, they do have additional tables in the back. Went with the Frosty and a cold brew. If you enjoy the taste of coffee without the strong punch, the Frosty is perfect. The staff wasn't too friendly, but since I'm only visiting and not a regular, won't really gripe about that.

Pistachio white chocolate mocha

This is the perfect coffee spot to hit during the holidays as their seasonal drinks are to die for! I got the pistachio white chocolate mocha from the friendly cashier who took the time to recommend me this drink. The coffee was so flavorful and rich but not too sweet. The ambiance is great as it's a nice cozy spot to casually hang or study. Highly recommend this place!

I happened upon the cafe in the Milwaukee Public Market. Great vide super nice barista's and really excellent coffee. So many to choose from and a great cup of Joe from a coffee junkie.

If you like your frappe to be have ice chunks that you can't even suck through the straw. Then this is your place.

I have been coming to this place for my afternoon pick me up. I loved the atmosphere and the live bands on the weekends. Last 3-4 months different story. Today when I came we were not even acknowledged or god forbid greeted. I ordered two dark chocolate frappes and the lady with a snake tattoo on her arm clearly did not know what she was doing. I should've tried my frappe while in the store. Instead I drive off back to the office and realized that the frappe was just huge chunks of ice that you could not drink through the straw. I threw it out and had to settle for the office Keurig. They should deduct age the system and have you tip the barista after your drink has been made not before.

If you order in they serve the drinks in glassware. I enjoy sitting on the patio which is very inviting and lined with plants. WiFi works outside too. The only downside is in the spring/summer bees seem to hang around and pester you from time to time. It depends on when you stop in but I've noticed the crowd ebbs and flows during weekdays and the inside seating area is small. If you're looking for a quiet place to crank out some work this probably isn't the best spot. I usually overhear many convos while trying to catch up on emails. They also have a designated parking lot which is awesome! Overall it's a great spot to check out and in a cute, more off the beaten path part of Milwaukee too.

This location has a nice looking facade, red brick with black awnings. Several healthy looking plants standing guard at the front vestibule. Inside there is a large center table, and some counter spots along the front window. Lots of items and merchandise to look at while you wait your turn. Came with a friend, and it didn't take us long to get to the cashier. Lots of choices on both the food and drink menu. Cookies, muffins, biscotti, and power bars if you are looking for some bakery. Breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and other breakfast items as well. Got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam), in a nice 12 oz mug. They told me it would be several minutes to steep the Earl Grey Tea, which I always take as a good sign that they know what they are doing :) Inside, there weren't any spots for two people to have a quiet or private conversation, so we had to go outside. Then there was the busy street, with traffic noise. The drinks and service were all very good. Unfortunately, the seating options are not a good fit for my coffee shop routine.

This is our dog's favorite coffee shop ;) * The people! Sergio and his team are genuinely warm friendly people. I stop by regularly, in part, just for the bright spot it adds to my day * The Vibe! The ivy climbing the side of the historic-looking building along the Milwaukee River fit the exact description I was looking for. Inside, the space is spacious and already decked out for fall. There seemed to be a mix of regulars who joked with the barista and newbies like me, but I still felt completely comfortable in this unique space. My go-to is a latte with almond milk and stevia, and the barista offered to steam the stevia with the milk. Such a small detail, but I loved it! The latte was beautifully crafted and even came with latte art. Since it was my first time, they suggested trying one of their fresh-baked daily goods. I went with the cranberry orange scone, which she said might still be warm ... and it was excellent. The sugar topping and zest in the glaze sound like they'd make it overly sweet, but it was just right. While sitting for just a short while I was extremely impressed with the customer service here, above and beyond!!! There were waves of busy and quiet at the counter throughout my visit, but overall, it was an awesome spot to slow down, enjoy a really good coffee and pastry, and take in the cozy fall atmosphere. First time trying the Cinnamon Knot, which they warmed up. I really enjoyed all of the dough layers, with generous amounts of cinnamon. (The icing itself was more of a distraction, it was hard and simply flaked off). From the looks/sounds of things, there are many regulars that stop in for quick up or mug refill. Lots of friendly chatter happening throughout. It appears to be a local favorite. Would definitely come back.
