Vanilla bean matcha
Michele V.

Blue Hour Coffee was such a vibe. The interior was decorated with moody lights and blueish hues which fit the theme of the coffee place. The restaurant had seating for about 10-15 people, but seemed like they could fit space for more. Overall, the matcha was it! It was so freaking delicious. I loved the vanilla bean addition. It wasn't overly sweet and the matcha was for sure high quality. The banana lattes were okay to us. The syrup was super thick and didn't really blend into the coffees well, so the hot one had just a sludge at the bottom and wasn't very satisfying at the end. The iced one was easier to mix in but maybe wasn't our favorite. Pastry was good. Definitely would go back with rotating menu options.

What a vibey little spot! Always love to see pop-ups turn into a brick and mortar so huge should out to these guys. Let this be your friendly reminder to support local! The cafe itself is pretty small, which was a suripise, but not in a bad way. They have *blue* bench seating wrapping around the front and right side, with five small tops lines up to sit at. While I was in, it was definitely busier than seating could accomdate, but hey that's a good thing. I went for the vanilla latte with almond mild, which comes as a 12oz. Nine bucks is heafty for a latte in my humble opinion, but it was tasty nonetheless. I definitely need to return for the blueberry matcha though - saw a handful of folks order that and boy did it look delish. You can also find a handful of pastries here! Blue Hour is very unassuming and hiden, tucked inside a neighborhood building wrapped in vines, so don't miss it ;)

Blue Hour Cafe has such a cute interior, and I love the blue tones with the warm lighting! I was deciding between two matchas, and the barista recommended the ube matcha, which was so good and definitely the right choice. The cafe is on the smaller side, but I heard they're expanding the back, so I'm excited to see how it turns out!

I've been following Blue Hour Coffee since they started doing pop up's, so I was super stoked to see they opened a brick and mortar! I ordered the ube matcha and the banana foster latte. Both were okay and around $9-$11 (it's extra for oat milk), I was a bit disappointed as the banana foster latte just tasted like regular coffee and the matcha wasn't the best matcha I've had, but it's good for Milwaukee. Staff were super friendly and the pastries were good!

Very stylish and clean space with one of those trendy Chicago-coffee-shop vibes - especially the line situation. Honestly haven't seen that kind of crowd for a Milwaukee café in years. I even mentioned it to one of the guys there, and he told me one of the main people behind the shop is actually from Chicago... which suddenly made perfect sense haha. Coffee-wise, everything was thoughtfully done. The staff was super friendly and genuinely passionate about drinks and coffee equipment. They use a La Marzocco setup and even have their own drip tower / Kyoto-style brewer for in-house cold brew, so equipment nerd in me = very happy. Drinks I tried: * Vanilla Latte (hot) - default 12 oz, which is honestly my perfect latte size. Smooth, balanced, comforting. * Banana Foster Latte (iced) - default 16 oz. Very smooth and well made, though a little sweet for my personal taste. But to be fair, it's clearly meant to be more of a dessert-style coffee drink, and it does that well. * Mont Blanc - Kyoto-style cold brew based drink that was super refreshing with a subtle hint of orange peel. Probably my favorite of the three. *Iced Sesame Matcha: hands down the best sesame matcha I've had (I frequent matcha shops in Chicago and Asia). Love the nutty / real black sesame flavor *iced Ube Matcha: an ice-cream like dessert drink but you can still taste the strong matcha. Highly recommend this one, too. Overall: good coffee, great matcha drinks, chilled vibes, thoughtful execution, and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Blue hour has really fun, inventive drinks! I got their signature blue hour latte with the fun blue cold foam. They also have pastries - I took a bite of my friend's cookie and it was delicious! The baristas are energetic and go out of their way to make conversation. I want to go back and check out their back room, plus they do music events on the weekends!

Absolutely stunning inside! I loved the deep blue theme and overall industrial yet cozy feel of the space. Service is incredible, every time I have gone in the workers were so sweet. And the matcha??? SO GOOD!!!! My absolute fav is their blueberry matcha, perfect balance of sweetness. I absolutely come here when I remember to.

Probably the best matcha It didn't taste like all milk but the coffee itself wasn't the greatest. Nice spot will be back for the matcha for sure

black sesame matcha and blueberry matcha

this cafe has such a cute interior space and a gorgeous outside! tried the black sesame matcha and blueberry matcha, both true to taste mildly just really really bummed on the fact that the drinks were $9 each and they batch their matcha concentrate into a squeeze bottle rather than hand whisk.

Ube matcha.

Met the owner of the coffee shop and very busy man. Used to be a clothing facility for making clothes and photoshoot, but with the renovation it's a beautiful cute coffee shop. Had their Ube Matcha latte w/almondmild and it's delicious. Recommend checking them out if you're ever in Milwaukee, WI

Banana foster latte & cold brew

The danish was good! It was advertised they were 15% off but I don't think they applied that to our total. 7$ for cold brew (wasn't even on the menu) and $8 for the banana foster late. The danish was delish, the drinks were ok. The cashier was quite short with us and not very helpful. There was two of us chatting about what we wanted in front of the cashier (the only menu is at the front of the line, tiny) and she rang us up like we were done ordering.. Vibes were good. Besides the cashier the baristas were nice. Trash can should be by the drinks (to throw away straw wrappers). May go back but won't go out of my way to! Def give it a try though!

Rode my bike from North Shore to Upper East Side to attend Blue Hour's grand opening day. They had a variety of lattes, teas and refreshers with different flavors: matcha, hibiscus, Ube, black sesame, etc. There was a really cool, diverse crowd that showed up to support. It gave LA / West Coast vibes, because it was a perfectly funny 77 degree day. I'm excited to get how this place evolves, but clearly they're on the right track. I could barely tell that they had just opened..very organized. Happy for the team at Unfinished Legacy!

I love sandwiches and knew I had to try the pastrami. It was fantastic. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and I instead went with one of their refreshers on the menu. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. I'll definitely come back on more weekends when I have a craving for pastrami.

Welcome to a classic scenario of "you get what you pay for" in the form of a high quality coffee…read moreshop. This might be my favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee, but the overall experience might leave you more satisfied than anything else. The environment is modern with touches of vintage as the space is clearly set in an older building with upgrades and decor to match the current period. The seating options are comfy and the space is open. The front windows offer tons of natural light to make the space invigorating and fresh. It's hard to find a pour over coffee anymore because of the time and commitment involved in proper preparation. This place not only offers it but you can choose from over 20 options for this beverage! I went with a delightful cup of Ethiopian bliss and my heart was full. The prices are slightly high for the market and service is a bit slower compared to your typical shop. This is a place where you come to slow down and savor the experience as soon as you walk in the door. If you want quick and simple, go to the chain down the road. For an elevated experience that comes with quality product, make sure you stop here and experience it yourself.

It was so full that, if it weren't for the magic of surface tension, there would have been a big puddle on the saucer and table. It had great foam, a good balance of flavors, and the right temperature, along with some nice latte art. Service: The staff were friendly, both when taking orders and serving drinks. Atmosphere: Despite how busy it was, we were able to get a table. Unfortunately, the table wobbled because the legs were uneven. That was a bit of a challenge with my overfilled mocha, but some napkins fixed the problem. If I were going to nitpick, I'd also mention that the Wi-Fi is really slow. A good experience and a great latte.
