Excellent coffee shop with such unique flavor combos! Staff was incredibly friendly and the interior was such a vibe.

Six of us came here on a recent Saturday morning. We were lucky to grab one side of a long table. The place was busy with a friendly vibe. The coffees we had (and one mocha) were delicious and delightful. We sat down and they called out our names (after a little bit of a wait). But the wait was worth it. Also, it was a little hard to hear them call our name - we were talking, folks on the other end of the table were talking, as well as others - and thankfully someone in our group was paying attention and did hear it. There are games on some shelves and we picked up Cribbage and played while we sipped our drinks. And let me tell you - the drinks were yummy. We ordered the following: "What Winter Brought," "Peppermint Mocha," "Channel Orange", and two "Moon Waters." Because we all wanted to sample each other's drinks we each got a sip of the others to taste, and there wasn't one I didn't like. The photos of the drinks are below - except for Channel Orange which was in a unique cup, unfortunately I can't remember which one is which! But don't they all look appetizing with the lovely swirls and desings? I don't know what the vibe is like on a working day (one of the members in our group does come here to work on weekdays). If you were wanting a quiet place to work on a Saturday morning, this might not be the right spot for you on a Saturday. This is a great spot to meet a friend or hang out with some friends. If you want some delicious craft drinks anytime, I highly recommend stopping here and glad it's here in Milwaukee. I'll be back!

This place is very cute and cozy. They have many coffee options with different syrup flavors. You can get iced or cold coffee. Matcha and teas are also available. The service is quick and I didn't have to wait long considering how busy the place was. They also serve food though I didn't get any.

Discourse is an independent coffee shop tucked between the MSOE buildings in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Entrance is hard to find, but ask anyone and they will point you in the right direction. We got a few drinks: espresso was great, maple bourbon latte was strong and sweet, Columbia pour over honestly tasted artificial with the strength of the blueberry taste. Overall, a bit overpriced, but very good experience!

Discourse is one of my favorite coffee shops in Milwaukee. It's a great place to work during the day. Their menu is filled with craft coffee drinks and gourmet food options. Everything is very unique and so much thought is put into the flavors on their menu. I highly recommending checking out their seasonal grilled cheese, even if it doesn't sound like something you'd like - try it! The flavors just work. I always get either a tea or matcha latte. I loved the presentation of the matcha this time around with the lavender! The baristas are always friendly. Sometimes the drinks take a bit longer to make, especially on a busy weekend. The overall space can get kinda loud and echoey, but overall it has a nice vibe and different seating options. Love the outdoor space with the fire pit too!

The cortado coffee was really good! The iced caramel latter was pretty smooth and the pajarose spritz was light and refreshing. The atmosphere was pretty pleasant and great background music. Very friendly staff and good service.

I always like to try new cafes and coffee shops; you never know what hidden gems you'll find, like one that has a few vegan options on their menu. Unfortunately, Discourse in the Radio 88.9 building didn't seem to have anything I could order food-wise looking at their menu on the boards overhead, but I was able to get a Lana Del Fog drink, which was very good. My boyfriend liked his drink and bakery (he's not vegan), but since I can't eat here, it's unlikely we'll be back. Inside, the place was cute, we had comfortable seats on the couch, and the wait time for our drinks was about the same as at other large coffee shops in the area. We were there on a Saturday morning, probably about 15-20 customers in the place.

I've been a fan of Discourse Coffee for a while now, but I've only ever gone to the downtown location. I finally made my way to this location and it's so cute! The space is a lot bigger than downtown, and they have a section of vinyls for purchase. They also serve food here in addition to their usual pastries (my current obsession is the orange blossom almond croissant). I ordered the Lana Del Fog, and I'm still thinking about it. Hands down one of the best London Fog tea lattes I've ever had! It's made with rishi earl grey tea, oat milk, lyre's amaretti, vanilla syrup, and topped with orange.

This is what dreams are made of. First time visit and it was amazing! My husband and I got two very different drinks. I can't recall what his was named but it had maple/bourbon flavoring. Mine was the Flora and I got it iced with oatmilk. Simply delicious and everyone was so nice. If I lived closer I'd be here every day! So cute, so delicious and so unique. Can't wait to come back!

I liked this place quite a lot. The drinks were pretty fancy--they have the standard drink menu, but they also have some nice special "craft" items. I got my standard chai and it was great, and the Pappy for my SO. I don't know what bourbon essence is but the drink was reportedly great so they're doing something right. The staff were nice and the shop was beautiful. There was tons of seating here. I will admit, though, that the drinks are kind of expensive; if I lived in Milwaukee, it probably wouldn't be my everyday place for a cup. No dedicated parking here, but since I ordered online I just hit the flashers and ran in really quick. There's street parking around the area.

One business snowy morning, I waited for my latte to be ready. Even though it was a longer wait - lots of people ahead of me, the time flew by as I watched the baristas move in this magical symphony as they made drinks. They didn't seem to hate their job - it was like watching art being created. I love all the curated lattes. There is nothing else that can come close to what is being served at Discourse. The flavors are unique and creative with a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Yes, salty! When you're there, please try a food item. It's worth every bite.

It's great to see this cafe space attached to Radio Milwaukee get a refreshed look with Discourse Coffee. Discourse has had several locations (and still has their downtown location at MSOE) - so this Radio Milwaukee location matches that energy with some unique aesthetics for this spot. The coffee options seemed to be the same and during this particular visit they had an experimental drink with ants on a log... real black ants. I did NOT read that accurately before ordering, it was quite the unique menu item.

Service was quick and efficient. It's nice that's it's open early before the rest of the market is, so you can still stop in for a morning coffee. I wish I noticed the seasonal menu sooner, it was quite small just at the front of the register and I only noticed it after I ordered. LOVE the Over the Garden Wall theme.

Unfortunately, they were some of the blandest lattes I've had in a long time. Even my wife commented on how lackluster they were. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese. It was disappointing as well. The sausage patty was warm around the edges, but still cold in the middle, and the sandwich looked like it had simply been dropped into the to-go box without much care. Service: One staff member was handling the register, taking orders, and preparing the food, all while doing their best to keep up with customers. During that time, another employee was stocking shelves and organizing bags of coffee. From a customer's perspective, it seemed like helping with the line and food preparation would have been the higher priority. Atmosphere: This location definitely caters to a different clientele. Since it's part of the Public Market, you don't really get the traditional coffee shop experience that Anodyne is known for. We found a couple of chairs at a small table outside, which was a pleasant place to enjoy our drinks. This location just didn't live up to the experience I've had at Anodyne's other cafés. It's probably not one I'd plan to return to.
