Churro iced latte and cheese danish
    Selena F.

I've been wanting to go to Aroma Café for the longest!!! It was very cozy inside and the service was amazing. The music was nostalgic and the workers were very nice and excited to hear how I liked everything. So glad I stopped by. I got the churro latte, and honestly I'm not really a coffee person but I did enjoy it, just wished it was a bit sweeter but that's just my preference, it still tasted amazing. I also had a cheese danish which was so fluffy and flaky, the cheese was so yummy and it was a great size for the price. I ordered a Cubano sandwich to go which was so great, I loved the slight crunch on the outside of the bread and how soft the inside of it was. Just the smell of the sandwich was delicious! I definitely have to come back to try a cake and cinnamon roll!!!

Puerto Rico in West Allis?! This cute café does a great job of transporting you to the Isla del Encanto. The staff is super friendly, and they have a lot of really great coffee and food options. On this visit, I tried their Cubano and it was fire. The empanadas look really good too. It's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends, or in my case, post up and work remotely. Very chill vibes, and the music was a great mix of Spanish bangers at just the right volume to not be obnoxious. A great addition to the thriving scene in West Allis!

First time here. It's a nice-looking storefront with lots of big windows, letting in lots of natural light. There are a few café tables outside, with umbrellas overhead to give some nice shade. Inside is a spacious area with numerous tables for groups of people. There was a well-stocked pastry counter and different merchandise or bulk coffee. When we arrived, there were a few other people inside. We were able to order right away. We were served by the owner, who was super friendly and helpful with the order. Struck up a conversation where she enthusiastically talked about her business and how it was the culmination of a drive to open up a coffee shop. Ordered a Chai Latte and a Guava pastry. It was a nice day, so we ended up taking our food/drink outside. The outside tables were clean and comfortable. The Chai was carefully made (extra foam) and even included some latte art. I would have preferred it in a mug, but they don't offer those. The Guava pastry was good but a bit too flaky for my tastes. The guava filling was moist and flavorful. I would definitely come back for a second try.

Cosy Puerto Rican cafe in West Allis, on the Northwest corner 81st & National, serving Puerto Rican coffee with options for hot and cold brew, along with other hot and cold beverages. There is also a case with fresh pastries and a hot case with empanadas. I stopped in with a friend yesterday. I had their Caramel Latte with Almond Milk as a sub option for dairy, and we shared a ground beef empanada, cheesecake with chocolate frosting and Tres Leches cake. The beef empanada was delicious...there was good seasoning in the ground beef. The Tres Leches cake was good but not as "wet" as other Tres Leches cakes I've had, and the cheesecake with chocolate frosting was my favorite treat of the two! Service was very good and welcoming. The decor was fun, and the paintings on the wall are for sale. I will definitely go back again! Give them a try!

They tend to get pick up orders ready early.

A Puerto Rican cafe! I used to work at a place in Chicago, Tower Ambulance, and across the street was a Cuban grocery where I would start my shift with an espresso, a carne and a guayaba pastelitos, and although it was a pretty toxic workplace, all would be good with a start like that. Outside of Miami or Tampa, I haven't been able to revisit that until Aroma Cafe. Sweet, friendly, sunny space that has a real Puerto Rican feel to it. No need to go to a pseudo Carribean Latin place, find the real thing here. The one thing that isn't quite authentic is that service is quite prompt, but it's still friendly.

The day we were leaving I needed coffee, I said any coffee shop nearby. We found this Puerto Rican Cafe down the street. Cute corner coffee shop that offers a variety of drinks and pastries. I was happy to see they have empanadas and had to order one of each chicken and ground beef. It also came with their signature sauce. Cafe was clean and spacious. Street parking in front or along the side street.

Cute little coffee shop corner. Street parking available. Service takes a little bit because one person is usually working at a time, but worth the wait! Delicious latte and friendly staff.

This is my favorite spot in West Allis! The coffee is from the island and is soo good! They just introduced more sweets too so I'm excited to try for next time. The Media Noche is my favorite sandwich to get. All the workers are so nice and really attentive! It reminds me of home to be here, honestly!! They have a wall filled with art, all for sale! Such a homey and cozy vibe here!! One of those spots you just have to bring a friend so yall could enjoy the ambiance together!!

Iced churro latte! What a delicious coffee drink, especially with oat milk! Puerto Rican coffee is fabulous and this charming place is cozy and artsy. I learned about Aroma when they were starting out a couple of years ago with their pop-ups, and it is so awesome to see them have a brick and mortar and continuing to expand their offer. If you are taking the bus, the 54 leaves you steps away from this corner, or you could walk 10 minutes or so if catching the 18.

I will continue to come to this cafe, all time favorite. Never disappints. Aroma signature is my favorite coffee from here. The service is always friendly and I love the decor and warmth in the cafe. A definite must try and great place to bring your family and friends. There is an area to pick up gifts and all things

Very cute new cafe, love how much space it has for co-working or remote work opportunities. I got the Aroma signature and it definitely was delicious. We tried the churro latte and the tres leches cake and both were yummy. The cafe owner is super sweet and we enjoyed our time. Their distinctive Puerto Rican voice is very well shared through their art work on the walls and their signature drinks.

My friend and I like to try different local coffee, shops, and aroma was our next stop. This was actually my second visit. Upon entering, there was only three other ladies seated at a table together. There was one worker on staff. It was absolutely freezing, and I asked the lady at the counter if she could adjust that and she said she did not know where the remote was. We tried to find a table away from the fan. I ordered the Dubai chocolate latte, hot. It was absolutely delicious. The temperature was perfectly hot. Only suggestion would be to make sure the temperature inside matches the temperature outside. The day we visited it was maybe 65 degrees and they had their air on full blast.

Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and other breakfast items as well. Got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam), in a nice 12 oz mug. They told me it would be several minutes to steep the Earl Grey Tea, which I always take as a good sign that they know what they are doing :) Inside, there weren't any spots for two people to have a quiet or private conversation, so we had to go outside. The food and service has always been good. Today, we ordered Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa, Corned Beef Hash, and sides of hashbrowns and 2 pancakes (instead of toast). The Chilaquiles were very good and the over easy eggs were perfect. The carnitas were tender and nicely seasoned. The housemade corned beef cubes were tender and the diced pan fried potatoes had a nice latin seasoning blend. I just wish the hash had diced bell peppers and onions. I also wish the poached eggs I asked for with the corned beef hash were cooked properly. I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.
