Been to several of the Fiddleheads in Milwaukee. I typically find it to be a very good experience. The locations are all designed differently, and each has qualities that make it unique among other Fiddleheads and local coffee shops. This particular location has plenty of space for different size groups. You can choose between the downstairs area, an upstairs space, or a nicely appointed outdoor patio. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The baristas are usually high quality, but occasionally you will get someone who is either in training or using their own techniques. Today was a good example of that challenge. My usual London Fog Tea Latte was a surprise. You can check out the pictures. Whoever made it steeped the tea in the cup and then poured the steamed milk over the top, instead of removing the steeper and then adding the milk. No worries. I went back and they were happy to fix it. The reworked one was a bit cooler than I like, but the texture was much better. The bakery here is good too. There is a nice selection, though it does not taste as fresh as if it were made on site. I always ask to have bakery items warmed up, which I think improves the taste. read more

Stopped at Fiddleheads get a drink after a park date with my niece. Most other cafes and restaurants were closed, so I figured that I'd try a new spot. They had a really nice patio area and plenty of indoor seating. I had their Ginger Turmeric Spritz for a quick pick me up. The staff was sweet and constantly cleaning up the common spaces. I love the cozy vibes here for studying or meeting up with friends. They have seating on the main floor along with an upstairs with lots of seating including an outdoor patio upstairs and downstairs. Their specialty drinks are unique and I different than other coffee shops I've seen, including a cinnamon roll cold brew! Yes tosa! I think you win for my favorite Fiddleheads location. Recently came to this for my first time and was delighted by the overall vibe. A very modern design, super bright and spacious, walls splashed with color and painted art, and there is plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Loved the upstairs patio most - it's fully covered from the hot summer sun but still gives you the opportunity to be outside. The first floor patio is sprawling with plenty of seating too. I've had many Fiddleheads cafe drinks before, and I'm a fan. Nothing beats a good old matcha here. On my visit to this location, I decided to grab some lunch too. They have a handful of menu items to enjoy, beyond just the drinks. You got your breakfast items, kids meals, salads, lunch sammies, and baked goods. I tried their special of the day: the BALT (aka the bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato). It was pretty tasty. Though it was quite a bit smaller than I expected/than what was pictured. Hit the spot anyway! I hung out for a while to get some work done on my laptop, which appeared to be a popular thing to do here. Oh my goodness, what a lovely find! While in the area, we found this spot and it's so nice with ample seating (especially their patio) and relatively easy access thanks to their own small parking lot and street parking. Checked out the new location! Love how much outdoor seating there are and natural light (even though we went on a day with winter storm haha). Staff was friendly and food was delicious! I got the Wildflower Latte and Hubby got French Vanilla Latte. The strawberry rhubarb was irresistible, calling my name from the pastry case! I've wanted to check this place out for a while now and my first impression was the location is phenomenal-in Wauwatosa off North Ave. I loved the designated parking spots for patrons and the walk up window for ordering. I thought the inside could have been cleaner especially for a place that opened just over a year ago but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that front - maybe they've see a ton of traffic since opening their doors. The place gave off Panera vibes. I could see people posting up and working here for a few hours. The service was awesome and the free rewards program is a nice touch. Similar to Starbucks, the program boasts a free birthday reward. TBD on what exactly that is and when it has to be used but I'm all about free birthday perks. I was glad to see special fall themed drinks on the menu. I ordered a pumpkin pie latte (12 oz, $6)- their spin on the PSL. It was ok. It absolutely tasted like I was drinking pumpkin pie. I wonder if it had pumpkin puree in it. Would I order it again? Probably not. I'm forever a PSL kinda gal and this was a bit too "fleshy pumpkin" for me. But I'd give another drink a try and am very curious about their regular coffee brews. Overall it's a solid coffee spot and I'll be back! read more

It's fun to have another coffee shop option in the area the wait at Collectivo sometimes can be super long. I loved the ambiance great place to hang with friends or get work done, lots of seating options. Tried the granola bar and iced turmeric special they had that day. Both were delicious. My daughter was a little disappointed in her buffalo chicken sandwich, it was served cold, and no sauce just the edges of the meat were seasoned, like the seasoned deli meat you get at the market. First visit. Walked into a clean and inviting atmosphere with excellent customer service. Nearly all tables were full of friends gathering and students studying. Ambiance here is amazing for studying -- they have an upstairs portion that I always work in. I don't always find a pastry I'm interested in here, they mostly have muffins and scones, no danishes or croissants. Fiddleheads has built a beautiful building on north ave with a great ambiance for working during the day and a nice outdoor fire pit. I would say their coffee is just ok, It's not really my favorite in terms of flavor (sometimes it tastes burnt) also, their lunch options are good, kind of basic, but very overpriced at the point you might as well go to a nice sit down restaurant for brunch with better service. I'd like to give a shoutout to Fiddleheads for tolerating my daily 7 AM - 7 PM presence this summer while I was studying for my licensing exam. This is my new favorite study/meet-up spot! Fiddleheads opened earlier this year to much anticipation, having already established itself as a well-known coffee shop to the north of town. Personally, I think Tosa could always benefit from more coffee shops (or maybe my student bias is showing)! This location is spacious, with two floors(!), a downstairs patio, and an upstairs deck. The indoor portions of both floors have a clean and open design, plenty of tables, and a good number of outlets. I have never had any issues finding a table to work at or meet with friends. I also loved studying on the upstairs deck during the summer evenings, enjoying the warm breeze and a drink or snack from the cafe. Extra bonus- there is a dedicated parking lot, so as long as you're not coming during peak hours, the parking situation is easy. As for the coffee itself, I would say... it's just okay. I think it's not to my personal taste, but it's still good enough, and the convenience of this location means it's a regular stop for me. I'm an iced latte girlie, so that's my usual go-to, but I've also tried some of their other drinks. Their seasonal drinks are interesting and creative, but so far have missed the mark for me (I think the last one I had was a pecan praline latte of some sort?). The blended coffee drinks, which are made with custard, are definitely way more calories than I would like to consciously think about, and absolutely delicious. The smoothies are fine. They have a great collection of Rishi teas and friendly baristas who will help you make a selection from this array of options. I've found the pastries to be hit-or-miss, and the selection seems to depend on the time of day. The baristas are always very kind and willing to help with recommendations! As aforementioned, I love that Fiddleheads is open until 7 PM; I think that might be one of the latest times in the entire city that a coffee shop closes. Perfect for the misery of the study grind (because certainly, 5 PM is way too early to stop)! And I will say that I very safely passed my exam at the end of my Fiddleheads summer stakeout :) will be recommending this place to other students for sure! read more

Also, I didn't like the fact that they didn't clear the snow right at the intersection corner of the street (area where the patio is). Great spot for meeting with others, working alone, or enjoying patio space. They offer multiple spaces to sit including a first and second floor patio. The coffee was great and I enjoyed the winter spice muffin which had mixed berries in it. The customer in front of me asked about allergy information in a pastry and the barista quickly looked it up in a binder for them. read more

So happy I got to check out Fiddle Heads in Wauwatosa this morning! I got no pictures unfortunately but it is worth the visit! I got a regular cold brew with oat milk and it hit the spot! They use oatly brand (which I love) and the cold brew was super strong and the coffee was super nutty and sweet! The walk up coffee window was so cute too and the outdoor seating area was adorable. It was a little close to the busy North Ave street but the hustle and bustle of Wauwatosa didn't bother me. Next time I would love to try their breakfast sandwiches and food! The cashier was also so friendly and welcoming. Will forsure be back to this location! read more

They can get your order quickly -or- they can get it to you correctly. They cannot do both. Every time I've been there, it's either taken forever to get a simple order (e.g., cold brew coffee with a splash of cream), or that simple order is not done right. I will not make that mistake again. I will go out of my way to go to elsewhere from now on. read more

Tried fiddleheads coffee for the first time and I will definitely be coming back. They have a huge outside patio as well as more space on the roof top. A great place to come on a nice day to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. There menu offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks as well as has some fun specials. I did not get food but all the bakery looked amazing! The sandwich options looked good but a little pricey (around $14) for a coffee shop Sandwich. I didn't have to wait long for my tea as the service was pretty fast, but I could see how it would get busy on the weekends since it's in a great spot. A definite recommend if you are looking for a cute coffee shop with lots of outdoor space! read more

Delicious coffee! I ordered a large (hot) almond milk latte with an extra shot of espresso and an avocado, everything bagel. We were looking for a nearby coffee shop to plug in and get an hour or so of work done while out of town. This was the perfect spot! We found a small table upstairs next to a window with an outlet and felt very comfortable. The service was great, our barista was super friendly and welcomed us to the area. I've had their iced coffee/cold brew a few times and it's good. My one issue is the size and quality of their lunch options. I've had the chicken pesto melt and the buffalo chicken melt. The bread was basic sliced wheat bread and the sandwiches were small. I expected these to be grilled/more like a melt, but they were just warmed up chicken with melted cheese and toppings. If they changed the bread and made these a little more substantial, they would be perfect. For $15 a sandwich, I was so disappointed that I was temped to ask the cashier if it was typical or maybe it was just an off day (to give them the benefit of the doubt), but didn't in fear of coming across as rude. The new Fiddleheads Coffee in Tosa is inevitably going to get compared to Collectivo on North Ave., a neighborhood fixture that's right up the road. So here's a comparative review: Fiddleheads brewed coffee is the equal of Collectivo's. The dark roast that I ordered was delicious. Fiddleheads pastries are smaller, less varied, less interesting, and more expensive than Collectivo's. The building...well...what can you say...it's new. It's nice...in a sort of, "I can't decide if I want to be a coffeehouse or a WeWork space," ...kind of way. So, all in all, Fiddleheads is a good addition to North Ave., but I am a little worried. I'm seeing a bit less traffic at Collectivo these days, and I want both businesses to survive. Fiddleheads is a bit closer to home, for when I don't want to walk as far, and Collectivo is just...better, all things taken into account. read more
