Cinnamon roll 5$
Ben W.

Overall been here twice and the coffee and outdoor seating area are great advantages to this place. In addition, the cinnamon roll had a great ratio of cinnamon to icing that made it sweet and savory! Would totally go back!

When I think fiddleheads I normally think coffee, for obvious reasons, but don't sleep on the rest of the menu! I stopped in the Shorewood location for the first time in awhile, and I was all coffeed-out for the day so I opted for an iced green-citrus tea. Wow, so refreshing! And not too sweet, which is always appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to order one of those again. I'm also fan of their food menu. They've got lots of breakfast and lunch sammies, plus kids options and baked goods. I opted for the roasted tomato turkey and it was tasty. Nicely toasted honey-oat bread with bacon, misitque turkey, tomato, lettuce and mayo. A classic combo that you can't go wrong with! Nice little salad on the side as well with fresh cucumber, carrots, and greens. Love their indoor and outdoor space too. Totally spacious, clean, and modern.

Toasted Avacado Croissant

Dropped in here for a quick bite of breakfast on a Tuesday morning and ordered the Toasted Avacado Croissant and Aztec Mocha. Items here are a bit pricey but of good quality. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was flaky and buttery, and the Aztec Mocha was spicy and absolutely delicious! The inside is nice and spacious, and their outdoor patio is quite lovely.

a fire pit in front of a coffee shop

Great location in Shorewood with a nice outside patio that includes a fire pit. I like their avocado breakfast croissant, which pairs nicely with an iced chai. Ample seating indoors. Close to the green line bus route.

Hot chocolate and banana bread latte

We really enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches from here! The sauce on the bacon breakfast sandwich was very good! The service was alright and came out in a decent time. The drinks were very good. I had the banana bread latte and it tasted just like banana bread. The restaurant was not very clean though. The bathrooms and tables looked like they needed to be wiped down. Overall still would come back for the drinks and breakfast sandwiches!

Good coffee, nice patio!

Good service, good ambience, good tea but limited selection of the latter. Still, a great place to meet up with friends.

The location is good, the coffee and food is good. But the inside seating is tight and uncomfortable. So it's a good place to grab and go.

Great coffee and great pastries! Went here while on vacation and I wish there was a Fiddleheads in Texas where I live!

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more Our monthly coffee date with our close friends took us this time to the Colectivo in Shorewood and it was good to be close from home given the frigid temperatures we were experiencing. I can't say that I've really spent any time at a Colectivo since the one at Bayshore closed, so this was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with their offerings and I came away impressed for the most part. For coffee, I went with the Peppermint Fluff Latte, and I must say it was an excellent choice on my part. They didn't skip on the mint and it really felt like a perfect drink for a cold day with Christmas just around the corner. Foodwise, I selected a cowgirl cookie (a bit too overcooked for my tastes, though the half of the salted choco cookie my husband ordered was quite good and I would recommend that one) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. The croissant was a bit more squat than I was expecting, but it lent itself to the sandwich well and while a bit miserly on the cheese, it was overall a very good sandwich. I went five stars instead of four because the staff was really quite excellent. I fully expected the usual crew of hungover hipsters you see at most other coffee shops but instead I found a fun, friendly bunch that were happy to help.

Date of visit: April 29, 2026…read more I struggled to find a decent website prior to visiting to have a good idea of what we were getting into, though I don't know that I would have been less disappointed had I been more informed. I was expecting a bit more than just breakfast sandwiches in terms of food, but that is all the counter staff told us about. Later I saw people with baked goods but those weren't mentioned or visible for us to peruse. Our breakfast sandwiches were pretty average, and the coffee was just okay as well. I tried the Carrot Cake Latte and it had a hint of that flavor, but I definitely wanted a little more. The vibe is very hipster, from the bicycle crowd to the vegan folks and would really only work in a neighborhood like Riverwest!

Totally cool place, fully grunge, queer friendly, safe place!…read more They have vegan, and meat options. Good coffee, anti-ice signs, and good music playing. The inside is set up like a 90s cafe, some booths, some community tables, and posters for events. Definitely a must try if you're in Milwaukee. I got a cold brew, and a chickpea sandwich. The sandwich was fine, it had arugula which I loved but not enough flavor other than the arugula. But it was good. My partner got a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin with sausage, egg, and cheese. He said it was "fantastic". He also got a lucky charm latte. We also got a side order of bacon for my kiddo.

Date of visit: April 26, 2026…read more Another place that has seemingly been around forever, but I didn't get a chance to visit until my days in Milwaukee were numbered! We came on a Sunday before they officially started serving breakfast and just had pastries available, but we were getting together with some friends for our monthly coffee date and didn't need a whole meal necessarily. The selection was a bit more limited than I would have expected from a boulangerie, but the cinnamon roll was very good (probably would have been better if it had been warmed up but that was not offered). And the cookies that we brought home (chocolate chip and gingersnap) were also very good. I also tried a bite of my husband's quiche and it was very good--definitely made in-house! The almond croissant had a generous amount of almond paste in it, and was quite sizable, too.

I feel like this place might get snoozed on a little bit. The location is a little unassuming. But…read moreit's a cute quiet cafe with delicious food and coffee. There's always something good looking in the bakery case--croissants, macarons, chocolate bombe. There's often a special for brunch or lunch too--I had a steamed mussels once that was pretty memorable. On my most recent visit I had the toasted cheese with a cup of tomate soup. The sandwiches come with a salad or potatoes. I had the salad and it was a nice array of fresh vegetables with a vinaigrette. The cheese was maybe not as all the way melted as I expected but it was still a nice treat. I couldn't resist getting the lemon cake for dessert. They had a strawberry shortcake that day too. Service was attentive and they kept my coffee cup filled. I should come here more often for weekend brunch.
