This Stone Creek is always reliably good. The service is friendly. The food options are tasty and suitable for a meat eater or a vegetarian. There are coffee and tea drinks for every taste and cider. The space is light and bright and perfect for sipping and chatting or getting some reading done.

How have I never reviewed the Shorewood Stone Creek? It's the Stone Creek that's closest to me. I like the Colectivos for hanging out and people watching, but the Stone Creeks are better for reading or studying. They're more intimate and a little quieter. Stone Creek's coffees have a distinctive flavor profile also. As of today (6/7/20) the lobby is open for ordering and there's some patio seating available. It's also late spring/early summer and perfect patio weather. I didn't stay as long as I might have under normal circumstances, but it was nice to sit and have a drink outside. How had I never tried one of their frozen lattes? I got the matcha and it was tasty. The lattes (hot or iced), with some unique homemade flavors (like bergamot) available. Though a go-to of mine when I want something less fancy is the cafe au lait. I'm thankful that this Stone Creek is here, near other places I do business and a nice walk from where I live. I won't take it for granted now.

This place is SUPER cute! This frozen matcha latte was absolutely delicious! Clean and decorated nicely and has outdoor seating. Will definitely be back!

A nice spot to read and work/study. Nice fireplace and friendly baristas. On bus line and near Capitol Drive. Lovely iced soy chai.

Excellent service and my mocha is very tasty. The free wifi is also pretty speedy. When on the east side, visit Stone Creek Coffee.

There's even a fireplace, which is lovely during the coldest days of winter.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more Our monthly coffee date with our close friends took us this time to the Colectivo in Shorewood and it was good to be close from home given the frigid temperatures we were experiencing. I can't say that I've really spent any time at a Colectivo since the one at Bayshore closed, so this was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with their offerings and I came away impressed for the most part. For coffee, I went with the Peppermint Fluff Latte, and I must say it was an excellent choice on my part. They didn't skip on the mint and it really felt like a perfect drink for a cold day with Christmas just around the corner. Foodwise, I selected a cowgirl cookie (a bit too overcooked for my tastes, though the half of the salted choco cookie my husband ordered was quite good and I would recommend that one) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. The croissant was a bit more squat than I was expecting, but it lent itself to the sandwich well and while a bit miserly on the cheese, it was overall a very good sandwich. I went five stars instead of four because the staff was really quite excellent. I fully expected the usual crew of hungover hipsters you see at most other coffee shops but instead I found a fun, friendly bunch that were happy to help.

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast the food and drinks were good. It's nicely decorated and…read morethere's plenty of tables to eat or work at.

Date of visit: April 26, 2026…read more Another place that has seemingly been around forever, but I didn't get a chance to visit until my days in Milwaukee were numbered! We came on a Sunday before they officially started serving breakfast and just had pastries available, but we were getting together with some friends for our monthly coffee date and didn't need a whole meal necessarily. The selection was a bit more limited than I would have expected from a boulangerie, but the cinnamon roll was very good (probably would have been better if it had been warmed up but that was not offered). And the cookies that we brought home (chocolate chip and gingersnap) were also very good. I also tried a bite of my husband's quiche and it was very good--definitely made in-house! The almond croissant had a generous amount of almond paste in it, and was quite sizable, too.

I feel like this place might get snoozed on a little bit. The location is a little unassuming. But…read moreit's a cute quiet cafe with delicious food and coffee. There's always something good looking in the bakery case--croissants, macarons, chocolate bombe. There's often a special for brunch or lunch too--I had a steamed mussels once that was pretty memorable. On my most recent visit I had the toasted cheese with a cup of tomate soup. The sandwiches come with a salad or potatoes. I had the salad and it was a nice array of fresh vegetables with a vinaigrette. The cheese was maybe not as all the way melted as I expected but it was still a nice treat. I couldn't resist getting the lemon cake for dessert. They had a strawberry shortcake that day too. Service was attentive and they kept my coffee cup filled. I should come here more often for weekend brunch.
