I had a great cup of coffee at this Colectivo location in Milwaukee's Third Ward. It's right across the street from the Milwaukee Public Market and in a lively part of the Third Ward. I like an especially bold cup of coffee, and the person who took our order was knowledgeable in helping me narrow down what I should get, and offered a sample of a couple of their coffees so I could pick what I wanted. I got my cup in a real mug which always ups the coffee drinking experience, so glad they had those available for folks drinking-in. It's a comfortable, well-designed space that was busy enough to feel like it was a fun place to be, but not so crowded that we couldn't easily find a table. Obsessed! I came by to check out colectivo on a Tuesday morning. There was no line when I arrived. So tough to choose what to order because all of the options sounded great. Ultimately went with the oatchata and the goat cheese and egg sandwich. The oatchata was the perfect amount of sweet. The egg sandwich was tasty but a little bit messy; the oil got on my hands quite a bit. Very relaxing atmosphere to catch up on some work and enjoy good food. I'd love to come back! read more

I absolutely love Colectivo and make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in Milwaukee. Their pistachio matcha latte is my favorite drink and not overly sweet. I get it hot which is a warm and cozy option. They also have good iced sport teas which I've gotten quite a few times. The veggie pesto burrito is my go-to food choice. It comes with a side of salsa which has a slight kick to it, it's good on its own too if you don't like spice but I appreciate it. They offer lunch sandwiches and pastries too. I feel like this location can be easily missed, the way it's tucked into the building across from the Public Market. Don't miss it though- it's cute, quaint, and they have friendly staff! I popped in between meetings in the area and love to see their ever-rotating seasonal specials. The blueberry maple latte popped out to me so I just had to give it a go. I'll say, I so alway request 'light' flavoring, which they did, and it was still plenty (and delicious)! Before heading to Green Bay to go to a Packers game, my husband and I stopped for our morning coffee and breakfast at Colectivo Coffee Third World. It was within walking distance of our hotel so we came over and got our morning fix. I decided to order a peppermint fluff mocha, served hot with oat milk. It was the perfect wintry beverage and not overpowering. My husband ordered just a plain classic latte. We both felt that the coffee drinks were strong and the quality of bean was good. He ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and I ordered the egg white breakfast burrito. His burrito was definitely a lot better than mine and just had much better flavor. I was trying to be healthy and honestly should've just gotten the chorizo breakfast burrito like him; mine was made with egg whites and had kale. Beautiful cafe, but I was a bit underwhelmed. It didn't feel very inviting and as someone who was there for the first time (visiting from NY), it just felt like it wasn't worth the hype (TikTok). I didn't try any of the pastries but I did get a matcha. It wasn't my favorite. It could've just been the day I came. I'll give it a try again whenever I'm back in town and hopefully it'll be better! The decor is so cute and cozy. The workers were so kind and patient. My iced strawberry matcha was delicious and they also have a variety of pastries and speciality drinks. Don't go here if you are in a rush! I'd recommend doing an online order honestly. The line was pretty long and it took almost 15 minutes for my one drink to be ready. Love Colectivo but this location has the same issues every single time. Staff gets a little sassy when you flag them down to remind them about items you ordered but they forgot about... which actually Happens almost every time. Just kind of a bad system but they just don't change. Food has taken a step back as well. Price goes up but food is cheaper and smaller. Come for the coffee only. Otherwise go to the lakefront location. read more

Fabulously designed coffee shop in the historic third ward district (truly love the entire aesthetic) with a very creative drink menu! We heard about Colectivo from fellow Yelpers and this was our first experience. Service was quick. We weren't totally blown away by the particular drink we ordered - the salted caramel - didn't really have a salted flavor and was more milky than espresso forward. Visited Milwaukee in August and searched for a great almond milk latte. Colectivo did not disappoint! The latte was so good and let me tell you how delicious their breakfast sandwiches are! The sandwich was as well but the bread is pretty flaky and $8.50 is maybe a bit much. Cool downtown location but it's quite a bit smaller than the Lakefront location. read more

This Collectivo was so cute. The service and the people working were SO KIND. I was waiting patiently and Julio reminded me kindly they would be right with me as he was training a new team member. My favorite coffee store back from when I was in Milwaukee as a student is not in the Ward: nice location right by the market and all the other boutique stores. I would live in here if I lived here! I love this Colectivo location! It's a smaller one, so it's definitely a good central location to grab and go. There are a couple tables, but it is not as extensive as the other locations. It's near a big street and has large open windows so maybe not the best for remote work, etc. but would be great to meet friends/a date! What I tried: iced honey cardamom latte, egg and goat cheese English muffin What I loved: both! - I always order my lattes half sweet, so I thought I might miss out on the flavor since the syrup itself was both the honey and cardamom, but I was pleasantly surprised! I never knew Colectivo Coffee had food and it's so good! I've been missing out all this time. Originally, was just supposed to stop for a coffee, but ended up grabbing a bite to eat and it did not disappoint. I got the chicken chipotle sandwich and it was 10/10 for flavor. The distribution of ingredients on the sandwich was a bit off. Half of the sandwich had all the chicken and the other half was empty of chicken. The chicken was also in these nuggets/chunks which I wasn't a fan of. I think the sandwich would be so much better if it was just a chicken patty covering the entire sandwich. The slaw was super refreshing and delicious. So overall, it was a solid sandwich. The ambiance of this place was quiet and comfortable. Service staff were kind, but I was disappointed in the process to get the food. I ordered at the kiosk and grabbed my coffee from the barista when it was ready, but wasn't aware when my sandwich was ready. It was placed on the pickup shelf and no one called my name or notified me. I think the sandwich sat there for about 10+ minutes before I inquired about the status of it. It's no biggie the sandwich was still great, but probably wouldn't have been as soggy from the slaw. Takes a little bit to get your drinks but it's worth it. I ordered a small iced chai latte and it's definitely one of the best ones I had. The flavors are truly there which would be more of the spice and cinnamon flavors. Also ordered a medium hot latte 10/10, no complaints. Lastly the pesto veggie burrito really really good. My fav espresso stop in MKE! I usually go to the Humbolt location, but the 3rd Ward location was an easy bike ride. Barista Bryce served up my quad espresso (properly, in ceramic) with professional skill and a wonderful personality and smile. I enjoyed the best time of year in the Midwest... I like Colectivo a lot. Local coffee roasters is one of my favorite parts of Milwaukee. Need to improve the breakfast burritos, especially their salsas. It's such a simple thing to get right and could be so nice with their above-average coffee, especially for 7.50 for a single McDonald's-sized burrito. Cold brew oat-chata is tasty!
