I actually walked by this place at first. Was wanting more of a cozy coffee shop vibe. From the street it looked like a corporate place where business people just pick up their daily drink. But I couldn't find the next closest place, so I went back. Glad I did! Best pumpkin chip muffin!!! And a great maple honey latte to go with it. Appreciate that they made an Arnold Palmer for hubby even though it's not a menu item. Tons of places to sit. And beautiful artwork adorning the halls.

Picked up a quick breakfast while staying downtown. The latte was well balanced for my taste. I want to taste the coffee, be sweet but not sickeningly so, and roasted but not bitter. The brown sugar syrup I chose was great. I had the turkey croissant breakfast sandwich. It tasted good but maybe a bit to flimsy and steamed rather than toasted. Service was fast and friendly.

Great space to work! Katie helped us pick drinks we both enjoyed (did not expect to love a brown sugar matcha, but it was amazing). Cute aesthetic and seemed to have a great food menu, even for gluten free. Wasn't too loud either, would definitely remote work from here.

Really great service and a HUGE space to do work! I grabbed a quick coffee to go but if I had the time, I definitely would have grabbed a table. I ordered the cold brew with vanilla and a turkey and Gouda croissant sandwich. DELICIOUS. Their cold brew was light, bright, and tangy. The croissant sandwich was HUGE and delicious! There was also egg and some sort of sweet and tart jam that was unexpectedly in between the fillings. It complemented the sandwich really well, but def was surprising to taste at first!

I've visited the Fiddleheads in downtown Cedarburg countless times, and I'm so excited that it's opened in downtown Milwaukee! Located in the sparkling new BMO tower, Fiddleheads has a fresh, chic space that will fulfill your caffeine needs. A welcome addition to downtown!

We just wanted a drink and a quick bite to eat and being during a baseball game, lots of places in the area were busy. There was a good crowd there watching the game as well. It's an interesting setup, reminds me almost of a living room (with dining tables) and then the small bar area is to the side. To order food, you do it through two wall kiosks which I like because you can look at options and not feel rushed unless there's a line. Outside they have tables and a tv as well. I choose a veggie sandwich which had a good kick to it! The smaller size was good enough for me. It was a bit confusing how to get your food, from what we understood, you have to go through a door to get to the kitchen window (bathrooms are that way too) but no one calls your order number or anything. I'd suggest an improvement on that way you know your food is ready or maybe we missed something. Overall, I would return and would like to try other items on the menu!

Most of those spots only open for dinner, so I was thrilled to find that Bavette La Boucherie now serves lunch. My friend, a local, told me the restaurant originally began as a butcher shop. While that's no longer the case, the space still pays tribute to its roots -- shelves lined with kitchen knick-knacks, butcher-block counters, and a display of local provisions that hint at its past. Chef-owner Karen Bell leads the way here, and you can feel her touch throughout -- from the creative menu to the casual-elegant vibe. The décor blends exposed brick and warm wood with soft light and a friendly hum from the open kitchen. Our server, Matthew R., had only been with Bavette a couple of weeks, but his background in restaurant management showed. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered great suggestions. Before our sandwiches arrived, we shared a cup of pork and tomatillo pozole topped with cabbage slaw and a dollop of sour cream. It was piping hot, bright, and deeply flavorful -- the kind of starter that makes you stop talking for a minute just to enjoy the next spoonful. Having read rave reviews of the Korean steak au jus, I nearly ordered it, but Matthew suggested the roast-beef with cheddar since I'm not a big lunch eater. Excellent call. The sandwich was divine -- tender, flavorful beef layered with melted cheddar on a crisp, perfectly toasted roll. The beef-fat fries had great depth of flavor, though I'd love them even more if they were twice-cooked for that extra crunch. Being more of a gin or vodka drinker, I couldn't resist the Gin Old Fashioned on the cocktail list. It was delicious -- smooth, aromatic, and balanced enough that I happily ordered a second. Great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Bavette La Boucherie is a gem I can't wait to revisit.

The walls had older pictures of what the place use to be and what it looked like along with older artifacts as decorations. Pretty neat to see "historically" items in a modern business. This place didn't seem super big but they did have some outdoor seating but it was raining the day we visited. They had some gambling machines if that is important to you. Our server was friendly and attentive as possible with all the busy happening. She answered our questions about the menu and the restaurant even though she was busy. She never made us feel rushed which I appreciated. We ordered a couple sandwiches...maple mustard glazed pork chop sandwich with fries and a blacken chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich with Garlicky Caesar salad. Also got crispy Brussels sprouts with candied pecans and sriracha aioli as an appetizer. The food was very very good! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for local fare!

We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. We also had to send back two drink glasses because they were dirty one still had lipstick on it, and another had food stuck to the inside of the glass. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the unprofessional treatment, lackluster service, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend stopping here. There are plenty of other restaurants worth trying instead.

Once inside, one thing that stood out was how often we were reminded that the market would be closing soon. While we understood the closing time and weren't trying to stay past it, multiple reminders from different vendors made us feel a bit rushed as we looked around. There were some interesting food and shopping options, and it's worth a quick stop if you're already in the area. However, based on our experience, it didn't quite live up to the hype and wasn't as impressive as other public markets we've visited.
