The cortado coffee was really good! The iced caramel latter was pretty smooth and the pajarose spritz was light and refreshing. The atmosphere was pretty pleasant and great background music. Very friendly staff and good service.

Discourse is one of my favorite coffee shops in Milwaukee. It's a great place to work during the day. Their menu is filled with craft coffee drinks and gourmet food options. Everything is very unique and so much thought is put into the flavors on their menu. I highly recommending checking out their seasonal grilled cheese, even if it doesn't sound like something you'd like - try it! The flavors just work. I always get either a tea or matcha latte. I loved the presentation of the matcha this time around with the lavender! The baristas are always friendly. Sometimes the drinks take a bit longer to make, especially on a busy weekend. The overall space can get kinda loud and echoey, but overall it has a nice vibe and different seating options. Love the outdoor space with the fire pit too!

This is what dreams are made of. First time visit and it was amazing! My husband and I got two very different drinks. I can't recall what his was named but it had maple/bourbon flavoring. Mine was the Flora and I got it iced with oatmilk. Simply delicious and everyone was so nice. If I lived closer I'd be here every day! So cute, so delicious and so unique. Can't wait to come back!

I liked this place quite a lot. The drinks were pretty fancy--they have the standard drink menu, but they also have some nice special "craft" items. I got my standard chai and it was great, and the Pappy for my SO. I don't know what bourbon essence is but the drink was reportedly great so they're doing something right. The staff were nice and the shop was beautiful. There was tons of seating here. I will admit, though, that the drinks are kind of expensive; if I lived in Milwaukee, it probably wouldn't be my everyday place for a cup. No dedicated parking here, but since I ordered online I just hit the flashers and ran in really quick. There's street parking around the area.

I've been a fan of Discourse Coffee for a while now, but I've only ever gone to the downtown location. I finally made my way to this location and it's so cute! The space is a lot bigger than downtown, and they have a section of vinyls for purchase. They also serve food here in addition to their usual pastries (my current obsession is the orange blossom almond croissant). I ordered the Lana Del Fog, and I'm still thinking about it. Hands down one of the best London Fog tea lattes I've ever had! It's made with rishi earl grey tea, oat milk, lyre's amaretti, vanilla syrup, and topped with orange.

It's great to see this cafe space attached to Radio Milwaukee get a refreshed look with Discourse Coffee. Discourse has had several locations (and still has their downtown location at MSOE) - so this Radio Milwaukee location matches that energy with some unique aesthetics for this spot. The coffee options seemed to be the same and during this particular visit they had an experimental drink with ants on a log... real black ants. I did NOT read that accurately before ordering, it was quite the unique menu item.

Yeah, there's a reason this café has a 5-star rating--it serves incredible coffee. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were overwhelmed (in the best way) by the unique lineup of craft coffee drinks. Our confusion must've been obvious, because the cashier kindly broke down each option, shared his favorite, and helped me pick the perfect one for my taste. We ended up ordering the Flora and the Moonwater. We were blown away--not just by how they tasted, but by how thoughtfully and beautifully each drink was presented. Discourse nails the balance between music and coffee culture, all in a space that feels industrial yet cozy. If you're a coffee fanatic--or just someone who loves a good café--don't sleep on this spot.

Still 10/10. A bit pricier than your everyday latte, but absolutely delicious and creative.

My review is for the Discourse pop up that they recently held in Wicker Park, Chicago. Who would think that Ramen and coffee would go together? Not me, but the combination really surprised me. It was creamy, spicy, and loved the crunchy taste or noodles with my caffeine. I wish they had a permanent spot in Chicago, until then do visit this cute pop up before it's gone!

Stopped by Discourse Coffee to get a little work done while enjoying one of my favorite Matcha drinks. It's such a cool space with a nice diverse crowd, great music and of course great coffee. The staff is really nice and bring a great energy to the cafe. I love how the drinks are handcrafted so it's something really special to enjoy. While there, you can check out the records they have on display or even pick up a game if you are there to catch up with a friend. If you happen to stop by please try the Avocado toast so delicious and of course the Parisian it's like having a cup of fruit loops only it's matcha!!! Get it iced or hot, either way you won't be disappointed!!

Been here a few times. And have always been impressed with the helpful/professional service, and the quality of the beverages and food. The main entrance is at the corner. And then the order counter is right there. Plenty of windows and natural light. The menu board is center, and up high. Easy to read. They also have some hard copy menus. It's a relatively efficient setup. There are a couple of different areas for seating. The counter behind the baristas, the high tops along the south wall, and the back area with different tables/chairs configurations. (I wish they had a bit more seating in the back areas, perhaps putting some smaller table up again the garage doors) Usually show up on Saturday mornings. Got there this morning with a short line to the counter. There isn't a well established procedure for the line inside, so very often the line ends up out the door and onto the sidewalk. The baristas always seem to greet you with a genuine smile and patient service. Today I had another great service experience, with a personal recommendation on the pastry (thanks Vaughn - great job!). he menus are very unique. They have the usual offering, but you can also get some crazy sounding lattes. Today, I got the London Del Fog (their version of a London Fog). I asked for a china mug (no problem), and it was perfectly exquisite. It paired perfectly with a Chocolate Guava Croissant. (I did wish that they had Scones on the menu, but then I would not have the pleasure of the Croissant). The place can go from mildly busy to jam packed with standing room only in a matter of minutes. Which also means that quiet casual conversations can turn into, leaning in to listen and using your outdoor voice. Overall great venue, with super professional baristas and staff. Definitely an easy goto for a quality experience.

I LOVE discourse!!! It was recommended to me by an acquaintance and I'm so glad I checked it out! The place is very open and spacious, and they have outdoor seating. The baristas are all very nice and helpful when ordering. I am obsessed with the cereal milk and citrus croissant. The last time I went, they didn't have it, so I really hope it's not discontinued. The channel orange latte is so good. I tried the moon latte which is also popular, but I didn't like it as much as the channel orange. the parisian....my favorite!!! Even if you think you don't like matcha, try it. The barista recommended it iced the first time I ordered it. It's so good. One of these times I'll try it hot. maybe once it gets cold out!

We stopped by Discourse Coffee on a Saturday morning. The place was crowded (standing room only) and came with a 30 minute wait for our two specialty drinks and breakfast sandwiches (which we were warned it would be in a to go container only). The drinks were delicious, both like nothing we've had anywhere else. The sanwiches were delicious as well. It was fabulous watching the crew work their magic. Ambiance was crowded, and unique building features. The only recommendation I would make is to have more tables or seating areas.

He ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and I ordered the egg white breakfast burrito. His burrito was definitely a lot better than mine and just had much better flavor. There wasn't anyone else in the place when I arrived, so it was very quiet. Got greeted by the friendly cashier/barista. I wanted to get a London Fog Tea Latte, but they were out of Earl Grey, so I ordered a Chai Latte instead. They didn't have a scone, but the cinnamon roll with icing looked pretty good too. Offered to warm it up, and I said definitely yes. It took a few minutes for the drink to be ready, which means they let the tea steep properly. When it got delivered to my table, I was pleasantly surprised by the latte art in the foam. I have never had a barista give me that special treatment and was thankful. The cinnamon roll was warm, gooey, and delicious. Definitely a place that I would return to.

I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender and a little vanilla, in a mug. The barista did a nice job and gave the tea a good long steep. It had excellent flavor, and the temperature was right (about 140°F). It would have been even better with a bit more foam on top. For bakery items, they had a big pile of large cookies (cowboy?), but not much else. The food menu is a little sparse but has some good options for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It came out hot, with nicely grilled bread and savory meats inside. The roasted pork was especially tender and flavorful. It came with a small container of slaw, which was a little uninspiring. Service: The person who took my order and made my drink did a nice job. She took her time and did a good job with the drink. I appreciated that they delivered both the drink and the food to the table. She was a bit soft-spoken and a little hard to hear with the music playing. Efficient, but not especially outgoing. Atmosphere: The space has a bit of an industrial minimalist feel. High ceilings with the mechanicals in plain sight, along with colorful paint and design elements. Seating can accommodate groups of different sizes, though there aren't too many spots ideal for couples. The space can be a bit echoey, and the volume of the music could make conversation challenging at times. It's a nice spot for groups to hang out, and there was a larger table where people were working and collaborating. A decent spot for hanging out at lunch or later in the afternoon.
